This place is amazing. Great customer service. The portion size for the food was well worth it and the taste was amazing. I will be coming back.

This is part of the La Hacienda chain in the area. It's family run and operated but this is the one that is the most so. Since it's affiliated with the one in Collierville it has the same menu and food. The owner said the difference is they use slightly different spices. I couldn't tell too much in my dish, which is my usual Burrito Asada de Pollo, but we could tell a little more in hubby's dish, the Combination of Steak and Chicken Nachos. Hubby even said the salsa was just as good, if not better. The rice wasn't any better here and may be worse than in Cville. Another difference is they don't all make the same specials. For example, Collierville Laha has a Grilled Chicken Fries but here they don't. The carnitas were really good here and I think I've found my new favorite thing here. Loved: - Burrito Asada de Pollo - Carnitas - Combination of Steak and Chicken Nachos - Salsa Like: - Chicken Fajita Quesadilla - Mango Margarita Ok: - Arroz

Bar none a favorite Mexican restaurant. Dishes are well pre-pared read: authentic. Staff is friendly and very minimal waiting times for seating or meals. Food is flavorful and overall delicious. An endless choice of various dishes. Best chips and salsa within 100 miles. This place is a favorite for Mexican food. Now - just need Coke Zero here.

    A roach in my queso.

I'm utterly disgusted and disappointed. There was a roach in my queso!!! I had to starve while at work because of this and they wouldn't even answer the phone. This was my first and LAST time!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!

A pit stop to fill the pit. Fast in and fast out. Hot food Quick. As soon as we ordered, I looked up and the food was there. I figured the kitchen could hear us on a mic. LoL. The server was kind and attentive. Wasn't lagging around. We was in a hurry to make our next event. So this place filled the bill. Prices was reasonable. Extensive menu. Tasty salsa. Only thing.... bathroom needs a little makeover...Clean tho...

Bean and cheese burrito with Spanish rice and verde enchiladas! The chips and salsa were so good!

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Courteous staff and clean environment. Don't care for the music but it not too loud.

She did seem a bit busy and forgot about me a couple of times, but honestly, I didn't mind (this time)...I enjoyed the solo time to people-watch and savor my meal. I was seated near the kitchen alongside a group of younger waitresses, and the section filled with customers was mostly small groups and couples. Unfortunately, one young waitress (I'd guess around 18-20) was loudly using profanity, dropping F-bombs and openly saying she didn't care. It came across as rude and unprofessional, and I hope that kind of behavior doesn't become a reflection of the restaurant in the future. On a positive note, the lunch fajitas were delicious and a very generous portion. Despite the distraction in my seating area by the cussing, disgruntled young waitress, the food and my waitress's, Taniyah, friendly service stood out.

They agree with me on my point of view, so here we go. My first visit I was totally skeptical. I had read the reviews, which seemed overwhelmingly positive. This is other than the asshats who get mad when they spend 8 hours of their "hard earned pay", and the all time classic of they "ain't happy this time, after all these years, they pissed me off this time" two star reviews. Side note: Spread the love when you can, and write good reviews when you have good experiences. Don't wait and write a bad one after one bad visit. Ugh. You walk in and it's bright, loud, hectic, gringos everywhere! I knew from the drop, as soon as I walked through the door it's far from authentic Mexican food, but totally "Mississippian Top of the Sip Mex" ™. That's another new one, you can use that one, as long as you pay me. Contact me for details, we can work something out. My number is (662) 513-0796. Now that the legal stuff is out of the way. Resuming.... My first visit, when my completely American server walked up and greeted me I was offered a "MS TOTSM" gosh durn bible of concoctions consisting of the same thing repurposed to trick the high brow MS masses to believe they have choices. I had not realized El Agave and Tate Reeves had so much in common. Stay on track, Adam!! This is Yelp! One thing stuck out to me that you generally see in decent Tex Mex to real deal Mexican food where no one speaks English. Chile Verde!!! I asked her about it, told her how reluctant I was ordering it based on her and my current environment (that brought a look), and she all she just said was "try it", so reluctantly I did. Sometimes I just need a lady to take control and tell me what to do. I'm there eating chips and salsa all patient and stuff... Boom! What comes out looks like baby poo. We might be on to something here!!! Could it be? The pork tips were swimming in green salsa, which was promising. I take a chip and dunk it in the verde.... Here we go! It's tangy, punchy, sweet, and spicy!!! Now all I need is the pork to not suck.... Holy shit!! It doesn't suck! It's actually good!!! Everything else is an afterthought. Rice. Blah. Beans. Blah. They are fine I guess. Just the norm, but the salsa on the pork steals the show!!! I eat it all up! I've came four or five times solo on lunch shopping excursions to Tanger and my Verde has always been a winner! On the family visit, C had a taco and an enchilada. Kiddo had the famous P-10, or MS Mush as I call it. They both ate it up so it must be good. Kid even took the rest home and ate it later. I'll be back for my baby poo pork! You can guarantee that!! The restaurant is described as Latin/Mexican, though we noticed the kitchen staff didn't appear to be Latin or Hispanic, which stood out to us. One thing that surprised us was that chips and salsa are not complimentary. The menu itself is huge--burgers, quesadillas, bowls, fried fish, wings, and more--so it felt more like a mix of different cuisines than a traditional Mexican spot. We did order the chips and salsa, and honestly, that ended up being the best thing we had. For our entrées, I ordered the fried fish and my husband got the BBQ shrimp quesadilla. His quesadilla was extremely runny and messy, and the only flavor that really came through was the BBQ sauce it was heavily covered in. My fried fish portion was generous, but the flavor was just okay. I ended up eating only about two pieces. I also tried the blood orange margarita, which was decent but tasted like it barely had any alcohol in it. Overall, the service was pleasant, but the food and drinks didn't impress us enough to make us want to return.

It's kind of dark inside with dark ceilings and floors and paneling and it does make it slightly difficult to see the menu if you're gettin' up there in years! Not me of course. I'm young and spry. I had a mole de pollo which was quite good. The mole sauce was very good, it had a nice subtle heat. We had our chips and salsa refilled which was nice. I'd prefer places presume competence and if I don't ask for a kids cup just put his beverage in a regular glass like the rest of us at the table got.
