    Salsa bar

Chukis Deli Mexicano is a fantastic option for a meal if you are craving Mexican food and are in the Olive Branch, Mississippi area. Walking in, we found a table and took a seat. A very friendly woman came over and took our order. I went with the birria tacos and my business client went with a taco plate. I enjoyed the ambiance. It was funky and fun. It definitely added to my overall experience. The food came over pretty quick. Once my food came, I headed over to their salsa bar. Tearing into the food, I was definitely impressed with the quality and taste. Chukis Deli Mexicano is definitely an amazing place. If you find yourself in the Olive Branch, Mississippi area, you owe it to yourself to have a meal at Chukis Deli Mexicano. I am confident that you will be as impressed as I was. Go see for yourself. I will give it five stars overall and Chukis Deli Mexicano definitely earned my recommendation.

I've been to Chukis a few times and they've been consistent every time. The food is good, authentic and full of flavor. They don't have some of the dishes that you would find in other restaurants and their menu isn't as big, but they do have a pretty good menu. They have options for both vegetarians and pescatarians in addition to their meat options. I love the fact that they have a mini salsa bar that you can use for your food there or you can take it with you in their little to-go cups. Sometimes the cashier is also the sole waitress, so if you want to pay you may have to wait until they are done taking orders at the table. Another thing to note is that they don't offer free chips with their sit-down meals or their to-go items. You will have to pay for them if you want them, but I feel like you don't get enough. I do love that they are home-made but would love if they were complimentary.

The food here reminds me of home in Southern California. The rice was amazing, and the salsa bar had a great selection. I definitely plan on returning while I'm in town.

The bad: This place is too far away from me The good: This place is too far away from me The super bad: my wife is going to hurt me when she finds out I came here without her. Yes, you read that correct the good and the bad are the same thing. Bad because this place is far but it's so tasteful and I love it. Drove 30 min out of my way to come here today. The good is bc if this if this place was closer to me I can guarantee you in one year I'd go up a few lbs. and more the years after. I like that they have traditional art and decoration to show the Hispanic culture. All the way from the Maya/Aztec area to one of the most famous and known comedian of the early 1900s cinema. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE BEST. FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. This place brings back memories from my childhood in Mexico. They have fresh waters here (literal translation) to aguas frescas. freshwater that have been flavored to traditional drinks in Mexico. Highly recommend them if you are not diabetic. OK, so enough about me reminiscing of my childhood. The tacos were amazing!!! The chorizo nachos are not the healthiest thing to get on the menu, but neither is a funnel cake when you go to a fair. Yet one Still wants it because the flavors are what you like. The cooks are always on the move and so are the waitresses. Don't skip on this place. it is kind of hidden next to Kroger. I am glad I found this place I have been looking for years for a place that is both clean and very lively. I'm sitting here writing this review trying to come up with something negative about this place and I think I finally found it. While the bathrooms were clean and look up to date with a urinal and a toile. There was no paper to dry my hands. Easily Fixed when I told them that they had run out. Ok time to slowly walk out to my car and reconsider eating that much. But id do it again. Make sure you say hi to the owner/manager/chef. His name is the same as the restaurant. Friendly guy and his kind wife is a waitress running around and making sure it's clean. Talked to booth of them and they are very passionate about their food and restaurant.

    Delta Burrito

Nicely located right next to a grocery. Seated fast and attended to many times. It was 330 in the afternoon so it was a little slow. The food was heavy on the Birria being served in at least half a dozen ways. The birria tacos were good and a 4 was more than enough. The delta burrito was delicious but not what I was expecting. I didn't read past the word Carnitas. If I had kept going I would have seen that it was smoked pork with coleslaw and baked beans. That said. While not what I was expecting, it was delicious. I wasn't in the mood for BBQ but if I had been it would have been perfect. The real star was the Guacamole, I would just eat two portions of that as a meal. Amazing. Brightly decorated, and music playing loudly, could have been a little quieter. If I had one less than ideal, the tortilla chips could have been hot and a more generous portion for the guacamole. That said will be going back.

Coming from a place where food options were endless, to a place where I really need to look now, this is definitely a must! The horchata is the best I've had hands down. I got the Birria tacos and they were so filled and tasteful that I drank the consume when I was done. The tortillas tasted so fresh too. My husband had the el pastor tacos and those were so tender and full of flavor. The service there is great. My server always checked on us to make sure things were good.

This place is amazing!! My new favorite place!

Food is amazing! Very friendly people! My favorite weekly place to eat! Fish tacos were very delicious! And you can't go wrong with barilla tacos. Love the choices of sauce you get to pick from.

5 stars all the way around!!! Let me tell y'all I have searched for a place in town that served birria tacos and this place serves not only the tacos but also as a quesadilla! It is the BOMB.COM the tacos are corn tacos and has plenty of meat. The consumé was just as great! With every dip and every bite I wanted more and more. The quesadilla was delicious too full of meat and cheese. The customer service was wonderful as well. I will definitely come back time and time again. It's hard for me not to want to go everyday!!! Thanks for making a great meal with a smile! See ya soon

Great food. The Owner Rafael is very nice and friendly & the waitress Uni is great, fast & gets you everything you need!!! They have horchatas, Mexican cokes, brilla tacos & Alot more! The best guacamole around for sure! Everything is always so fresh & light. Cool laid back vibe, painted old Chevy car on the wall & a collection of hot wheels car....cool for the kids to see. Highly recommend, if you go 1 time you will be going all the time.

We visited twice last week; dine in and take out. The Quesa Birria and consommé were seasoned perfectly! Some of the best in the area. The Menudo was watery and lacked full bodied flavor. The waitress stated it depends on who's cooking that day.

Amazing. Authentic. Delicious. Salsa bar. Need I say more? I had the Chilaquiles which were lovely. The guacamole is fresh and chunky, and the queso combinado was delicious! 100% recommend.

Asada sope and chicken taquitos! My favorite are the sopes!

But I thought that wasn't how reviews should go. So then in my head I started justifying all the ways I could make this 5 star. But - it just wasn't. My food was...okay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was a cool place with grocery items in addition to the restaurant. I'll go back. I'm a sucker for hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants. But my carne asada is probably 3 star. However, the salsa that came with our chips and salsa order was fire! Fresh, spicy, flavorful, colorful. The meal was expensive and just all right. But we shall return I suspect.

Food was fine, the experience and just the vibe was pretty cool. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. I'll definitely come back but will probably go with something more "basic" like tacos or a burrito. I had chilaquiles with steak and egg. Eggs were cooked exactly how I asked (over medium). As often occurs the cut of meat for the steak isn't the best cut of steak on the cow so while it wasn't chewy and gristly it wasn't tender and juicy either. Same with the wife's carne asada - we've both had better steaks at other Mexican places around here. The pork rind wagon wheels (I think that's what they were) were good but we got an order of chips and salsa as well ($5.99!!!) because one of the kids wasn't going to touch those wagon wheels no way no how. The salsa is very good - it's the red and the green mixed with pico de gallo and is quite spicy. All in all the experience and the vibe of the place was better than the food but I'm hopeful some different things off the menu would lead to a better eating experience. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine just not great and with the total bill hitting 95 bucks it wasn't worth that. But I will be back to try the street tacos or burritos.

Olive Branch newest Taco SENSATION!!…read more Just kidding, they have been here a while. These fine folks were formally know as "Tacoholic", maybe they still are in the truck, not sure. If I am being honest, they were better off in the truck. It had better visibility. It was right there on 178. You can't find this place even if you really want to. There is no sign in the parking lot, on the building, on the door to the entrance, nothing at all. In fact, the day we came, there was a freaking fish fry in front of their door that blocked access. I thought my wife was wrong, apparently she follows them on some shit and knew the speakeasy password. It was also actually cooler outside (outside temp was 94) than inside this place. We ate at the bar and I almost melted. It may have been that devil salsa that also contributed some as well. Anyway, my point is, eating in my car is more comfortable than inside here any day until November comes. The family is nice, I have always loved this place and Frutanas as well. The dude that waited on us was nice too. Not nice enough to wipe my sweat. Speaking of... loose ass Waffle House style napkins are not the move OTTC!! I want them to thrive but between the no signage and obvious ongoing A/C issues this and all places in the brick barn are having, it's gonna be tough. Should put the damn trailer in the parking lot at least. Geez. Food was decent. I liked the cheese dip, other dips were meh. Burrito was not as good as the truck version. Salsa isn't as good as the trucks. Beans were old and stiff. Four starts because they are good people. Needs improving all around. '24 - 57/100
