I was let down for $50 today, this restaurant has really went downhill, our waiter was rushing us at first when it came to ordering and then it's like he forgot about us. My husband's silverware that was wrapped up, it was dirty and had previous rice still stuck between the edges. My steak wasn't great, it was tough, cold and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The cheese dip was the only flavorful thing. My husband got chicken, cheese and rice and parts of it were hot where other parts were cold, as if it was microwaved. Really let down and won't be back, leaving this review as a reminder to never waste my time or money here again. read more

Casa Mexicana - Steak fajitas - Mexican Near Me - Olive Branch, Mississippi

This is everything I want in a Mexican place. Solid ambiance, friendly/fast service, cheap, and tasty. The staff is very attentive and quick, and I've been here a few times and never waited longer than maybe 4 minutes after ordering to get my food as a single diner, which is SO fast. The place is usually packed with families or business travel people at nearby hotels and it totally makes sense, great spot. read more

Had to stay in long term hotel across the road, so my wife and I loved walking over for our date nights. After the frozen margaritas were ordered, we loved trying new things off the menu. Our favs were Birria tacos, don't forget to add cheese, Pollo Funditos, Enchiladas supreme, and the street tacos. We loved trying new this place. read more

This place is my favorite. So close to home. Drinks always good. Whenever me and hubs want a quick dinner date with no fuss and no long wait...we go here. Hot food always. And we like the warm chips brought out with salsa. Never had a bad experience. There is outside dining as well as bar seating. read more

A Friday night at 6:15-6:30 pm Party of 10 so needless to say a captive audience with a potential for $300 + bill + tip. Service -2/10 Food- 2/10 Order Accuracy - 3/10 Something has happened at Casa. The normal P10 that we have ordered for 15+ years was absolutely the worst , very plain , hardly any chicken. Others in the group had incorrect orders and that took over an hour. The only positive with this visit was the margaritas, as they were good. Went to pay and the 3 clerks behind the cash register didn't say thank you , kiss my a$$ , appreciate the business/ nothing ! - just took the cash and never made any eye contact . I AM DONE WITH CASA in OLIVE BRANCH. read more

The service was excellent, but the food was bland and the meat was overcooked. The drinks from the bar were enjoyable and seemed to be the main reason most people attended. read more

I don't know the man who is always at the front to greet people but, every time I walk into Casa Mexicana he is always rude. I have yet to see him even smile. Maybe I'd have a better experience with better customer service. read more

Had the "grilled fish tacos" and they were great. The service is perfect, and the ambiance is like a Latino speakeasy read more

I travel quite extensively for work. I have eaten Mexican food in just about every state. Casa Mexicana is by far the best I have had. Great job!!! read more

They are always super friendly, service is always great and quick. The food is absolutely delicious and we've never had any issues. Pricing is reasonable and affordable for the amount of good food you revieve ontop of the service. The restaurant is very inviting and a nice place for the family. When eating in we always have our food in less than 10 minutes and even when ordering to go they always have the food ready in around 10 minutes. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for some good quality Mexican food! read more

The service was definitely 5 stars; the staff were very sweet and answered any questions. I liked my food before I even ate it. We would definitely come back here and eat again if we could. The environment around our table was clean and it was calm and not a loud atmosphere. read more

First time here was pretty good. Came for lunch and it wasn't too busy. Our server was nice, food was good, atmosphere was good. The salsa was chunky how I like it, but could have had a little more onions and/or cilantro. Chimichanga was really good and decently sized for a lunch portion. read more

This location of casa. Mexicana is the best out of all of them I love taking my parents out to eat here a lot good food, good service, and the l place itself is clean . I recommend trying the grande chimichanga read more

This place was the most convenient for takeout, as we are on the road with 4 dogs and were staying in a hotel within walking distance. What a pleasant surprise! The reviews were very mixed, so we were apprehensive, but hungry. Casa Mexicana did not disappoint. The chicken fajitas for 2 was delicious, and enough food for four. Ordered with everything, it comes with rice, beans, guacamole, and salad. We thought we had someone else's takeout order by mistake. Salsa was mild but passable. The chicken was tasty and tender. These native Californians approve. Next time we will dine in, and have a margarita too! read more

One star only because it is necessary for posting! Last night my husband was there with fellow workers (from out of town). He said he had the worst service he has EVER had. The waiter dropped off their food and NEVER returned until he dropped off the check. My husband then asked for a refill on Sweet Tea and was told no because the machine was turned off. Totally ridiculous!! The waiter also wrote "gratuity not included" in bold RED lettering on check. Not sure why they were treated so poorly, but if it had been me, I wouldn't have left a single penny!! read more

We had great service and the food was delicious. We were there after 8 PM with a closing time of 10. The chips were fresh, warm and cheese dip was authentic. My daughter requested a non menu al carte item and it was no problem. Food was delicious, just the way we ordered and service of our waiter was superb. He was friendly and the customer service we observed was terrific. We are only in the area for a tournament but would definitely return. The decor was inviting, cleanliness was evident. read more

Was across the street from our hotel so figured lets give it a try . Service was good. Had an appetizer dip ( pictured) and some veggie enchiladas. Portions were good . Chips n salsa standard. A few of the chips were stale but no biggie. Overall a good experience. Friendly staff. Would eat here again. read more

Amazing service such hospitality the waitresses are so nice and polite and the food is great the manager is a nice lady

Wanted Mexican so husband picked this place. Food was lukewarm, unseasoned, waiter wasn't attentive at all (no refills), daughter hated her taco. I tasted it and didn't blame her. We spent almost $100 only to go to backyard burger afterwards. read more

They close and lock the doors at least 30 minutes before closing time... good luck grabbing a to go order if you're at a nearby hotel

This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Desoto County area for several years, but the overall experience and food have really suffered over the last couple of years. My most recent visit had terrible experiences with an inattentive wait staff that was more concerned with socializing with colleagues than addressing our needs. Food didn't arrive together and was bland at best. There are many other Mexican restaurants that are open in Olive Branch area that I would recommend over Casa Mexicana today. read more

We ordered through DoorDash. 1st time from Casa Mexicana and the food was amazing! Arrived piping hot and fresh. Big portions that wasn't just rice and beans. I ordered the Enchiladas Verde.. loved the chicken and cheese. Did not care for the spinach only because eww spinach. We also had the Enchiladas Mexicanas Hands down the potato one was mind blowing good! We had the floutas app and they were all wonderful. It was so good after the first bite I didn't even stop for a pic! I really liked the thin tortilla chips those were still warm and crisp too. The salsa was ok. Next time we are in Olive Branch this is dinner! read more

Excellent food and service. Had shrimp and steak fajitas and they were very good. Chips and salsa also on point.

Great food , also hot and fresh! Enjoyed my dinner today. Taste was on spot. And only 20 minutes to grab the food to table.

Get the Silver Patron Rita's the medium bowl!!! You not regret it! Shrimp tacos were very good. 3 soft tacos with 4shrimp each with one very good salsa verde to top with, didn't come with sides u have to ask. Th chicken quesadilla- chicken was good and flavored no sides. The burrito deluxe husband said was very good- no sides. The prices are cheap but I u want sides you have to ask. We're driving through an was told to come here for the Rita's. Glad we did. It would have gotten 5stars if the hips and salsa had flavor and heat. Drink can out quick, dinner came out 4mins after our drinks. Will be back!! read more

Excellent service and delicious food. I really enjoyed their tortilla chips, very thin and crisp. While many restaurants all taste the same and serve the same products, Casa Mexicana seemed to be more authentic. The only area I would say they fell short would be on the margaritas as they had a large presence of mix and a little less alcohol than I would expect. All in all, the menu is vast, the food was great and the service was top notch! read more

I wanted Mexican and as a travel nurse new to town I had no idea where to go, saw this place and popped in. Glad I did, chips were amazing, salsa didn't really have any taste but tomatoes but the cheese sauce had a little kick to it and was really good. I got the pollo adobe which was chicken, cheese sauce, cream sauce , and spinach came with rice and beans. It was really good also, really big portion. I wanted a margarita but since I was driving I'll save it for another time. read more

Oh my, this place is so amazing with the flavors and the service. Love trying new things each time we go.

Always good food and good service!! The food comes quick. It's a good size place so you never feel crowded or rushed.

I'm going to start by emphasizing I found a GEM in the Mexican Cuisine here in Olive Branch. Wow! Upon walking up to this restaurant I was struck by an "awe " experience. I couldn't believe the beauty that was before my eyes. Upon entering, I felt exactly the same. The decor, architecture structure and beauty truly sets the ambient experience one desires. It felt as if I had walked into a quaint place off a cobblestone street in a small Mexican village. Just simply beautiful! !! As I have said before, the Chips and Salsa are an introduction to a restaurant. Theirs did not displease. The Chips were light, crisp and fresh. Really, really good. The Salsa was perfect! Their menu is quite astounding to be exact. So many good quality dishes to choose from. They have the regular ones such as Speedy Gonzales, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and more. Then they have specialty dishes for all the likes. Also, they have chili rellenos, tortilla soup, and other appetizers\side dishes. I ordered the Steak a La Tampequnia. It was great! It came with rice, beans. The T-bone steak was seasoned and tasty. The rice was not too moist, just perfect. The refried beans were good as well. My husband had a lunch combination of ground beef taco and burrito all of which he was very pleased too. I ordered a chili rellenos. It came fried with cheese inside and covered in Ranchero sauce. Yummy! This is a must-eat when in the area. The restaurant is clean, inviting, staff friendly and efficient! I assure you that every time my job sends me to Memphis I will trek my way (only like 5-7 miles from my terminal ) there for certain! read more

Disappointing food. It was grossly undercooked. One should not need a steak knife to cut thru a (cooked) chili poblano. Argumentative and unfriendly staff and management, too. He said that the owner likes chili poblanos to be served this way...hmmmmm. Really, Martin, is this true? The chili was raw and the cheese inside wasn't even melted. This must be a new preference of the owner, because I have eaten this dish at this location for many years. It has always been very good, but the quality has gone downhill over the past few years. Tonight, I could not eat this raw pepper with hard cheese inside. Good thing I had chips, salsa and cheese dip or I would have left hungry. Of course, I still paid for my meal and left a tip. I'm not the type to do otherwise, and usually not the type to even complain. Every establishment has the occasional 'off' night. However, I did not expect an argument when I called the situation to the attention of my server and then the manager. Kinda rude. read more

Excellent choice. I had the queso fundido, the chirizo was lean, no fat, and great taste! Cheese, onions, and bell peppers along with the cheese were cooked perfectly. I had the grilled chicken salad, my husband had the enchiladas, and the taste of the salsa was very authentic , the red salsa on the enchiladas was excellent. Chips are home made, and I asked for the spicy salsa (it comes with bland salsa which is fine but we prefer spicier taste). Compared to the other restaurant, we have to say this is authentic tasting. Coming from California, we were not sure we could find a good location, but we did! read more
