Mi Pueblo is located in the same shopping plaza as the Kroger. In fact, it is located by the Kroger fuel pumps. Mi Pueblo was conveniently located to my hotel, so after a long day, it was a convenient stop for me. The service was friendly enough and the overall ambiance and vibe was decent. The food was okay, nothing incredible, but I have definitely had worse. If you are in the Hernando, Mississippi area, this is a good enough stop. read more

Went on cinco de mayo to be expected very busy. How ever we waited 35 minutes just to get a Pepsi, a sweet tea, and a sprite. I also ordered a cheese dip when I ordered my drinks and received it an hour later 5 minutes before my food came out. In total I was there for a little over two hours and saw my server 4 times. We were not given silverware or napkins. The margarita that we also ordered with our initial drink order had ZERO alcohol in it and was not worth $5 let alone the $15.50 they charged for it. Not to mention the girl at the register checking people out was to busy yelling and cussing to check people out in a timely manner. Won't be back. read more

We always stay in Hernando when driving back to Missouri to visit family as our halfway point and this restaurant is just down the road from our hotel. We got in there and our food came out not even 10 minutes after ordering, which is great until my food got there. I ordered a shredded chicken quesadilla with a side of rice, the rice was slightly warm, and looked like it was reheated in a microwave. My quesadilla didn't taste right at all. This place has gone down in every way. Our food today was not very good. Very inconsistent portion sizes. Poor service. Not crowded, but could hardly flag down anyone, much less our waiter. Order was not correct, but we just went with it. We had to wait forever to get drink and Chip refills. By the time we got them it was almost too late. Then we said we would just take the drinks to go, but they were out of to go cups. There are too many other choices around Hernando to settle for this. I hate to see this once great restaurant go down this way. read more

This place is over the top good I live in Mississippi, so I will take my butt to Hernando and literally eat there. I will literally take my kids, my husband, my my friends and my parents, but yeah, I checked all the chicken fried rice. The food is a amazing they the service is so good. This is what guy that was pretty bad but he was OK and then oh yeah, it's a very local place you could sit inside outside. People are very nice to you, and if you sit outside you, kids can go outside like play in the field but yeah I definitely recommend Pueblo so totally come. read more

Filthy dirty bathrooms..ceiling in bath room coming down they serve old cold chips..when I reported the bathrooms the kids started laughing..kids run this joint including the manager.. they would not honor my coupon..the only thing I ate on my plate was the rice..also down a small hallway by the bathroom was a tub full of dirty dishes with full ketch up bottles on top and some open cleanser..all mixed in together..the place is grimey..stay away! read more

Ate there just a couple times over the past couple years and both times the place has been dirty and the waitresses were not very attentive. The most recent visit, 4/25/15, was forgettable except for the fact that they have one set of prices in the menu yet charge you higher prices thinking you won't notice. In my book, that is false advertising. Their excuse was that they were waiting on new menus. Their "old" menus were torn, ripped, filthy, etc., btw. If they are going to raise the prices that's fine, but at least they should not do so until they have the new menus to use, assuming that's true. As for the food, it was just so-so. The cheese dip was cold, the fried rice had too much filler in it, the sweet tea was weak, and the nachos were stale. Needless to say, we will never go back there again. read more

The go-to place for good Mexican food in Hernando. My family can eat here for about as fast and cheap as a higher end fast food restaurant (like Zaxby's or Chick-fil-a) and the food is great! The service is always fast and friendly. read more

This place is awesome. We shared the molcajita and it was more than two of us could eat. Margaritas were good and the salsa is great.

This place needs to hire better servers. What I experienced tonight was pure rude. It started in the parking lot before I even reached the door and just got worse as I walked in. One waitress decided to whip her vehicle in beside me inches away from my car as I was trying to get my infant out of the back seat she swings her door open and hits my mother with it and says nothing then she proceeds to bump into her as she's walking by and just makes a nasty face. Then as we walk in she's standing there talking to a manager I presume and he seats us in the very back away from everyone where the loud speakers are playing music. I'm choosing to let it go at this point but he walks up and asks for our drink order in the rudest tone. We just got up and left at this point. I wouldn't choose this restaurant to take your family to. We usually have good experiences here but that ruined it for me and my family. Mi Pueblo needs to do better and hire servers that aren't rude. read more

I would rate this lower, if I could. The staff was highly unfriendly and the food was abysmal - at best. We had to find our own silverware and napkins, the nachos we ordered were nothing but lettuce, when I ask for a to go box the waiter rolled his eyes at me, and the manager was infuriating. This is me and my family's all-time favorite restaurant in Hernando. We've never had a bad meal here or a bad experience here; until last Sunday.... (4/6/2014). We'll probably have to search for a new "favorite restaurant" after that experience. First of all, we always like to sit on the patio outside. It was a lovely day but the guy at the front said we couldn't go out there because it was dirty. We should've left right then but we didn't. We ordered about $60 worth of food and drinks. It was delicious and the service was outstanding like we always receive here. Before we left, my older daughter said she needed to use the bathroom. She came back shortly and said the bathroom was terrible. The doors on the stalls didn't work, there was filth and disgusting stuff all over the toilets and the floors, etc. My wife went in there and she said we're never eating here again. She said that bathroom was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, she said there was no toilet paper whatsoever. Anyway, as long as you don't have any females with you, I highly recommend this Mi Pueblo restaurant. BUT, if you've got any females with your party; go somewhere else!!!! I never went into the MEN's room, but I'm sure it wasn't great in there. The first hint to us should have been that the outside patio was "dirty" and we weren't allowed to eat out there. This is one of the few times we've eaten there when the owner wasn't on-site. I feel the place probably would have been in better shape if he'd been around. read more

We are from Memphis, but were in Hernando today and tried Mi Pueblo. We had heard it was good. We passed at least 3 other Mexican restaurants to go to this little hole in the wall in a strip mall near Kroger. Well, it was fabulous. The food was really great. I had the tacos mi pueblo, which were one chicken taco, one chorizo, one carnitas, and one steak. Every meat was delicious. The salsa is great, the guac good, the service fast and attentive. They had a lot of fancy frozen margaritas that we didn't try, but I would say something for everyone. You won't be disappointed. To speak to the other person's comment about the restrooms, I visited the women's room and it was fine. read more
