I was really excited to try this new place when I saw them building it. I got to go opening week to try it out. We were promptly greeted at the door and they told us how the ordering works. You order through an iPad where you can see all the different restaurants and each of their individual menus including popular choices. When you pay they take your number so that you can check the progress on your phone. The tracking wasn't accurate and after the countdown expired it just said "still cooking". You might end up waiting a little longer than the projected time. But they have tvs above that track who's order is ready and who's up next so you can see how many orders are in front of you. As for the food... I'd give it a 3.7/5. I was underwhelmed by the red tempura sushirito (which I ordered because it was popular), it came with no signature sauce and didn't taste like much. It really needed a spicy mayo. As for the Mediterranean bowl.. it was good.. it had a ton of rice not a lot of meat and I felt like they skimped on the toppings but the flavors were good! So there's that. One sad thing about it was that it was soooo high in sodium. I was dehydrated and swollen the whole rest of the day and into the next afternoon. Idk if you can ask for light salt but I would definitely need that if I were going to order that again. read more

I was initially pretty excited to try out this spot when I heard it opened in Davis, but I have to say that it's just mediocre. You're greeted by tablets to order when you've walked in, it was all pretty impersonal--more fast food than a local business spot, so not super sure what the tip option was for (and I still left the 15%). My partner and I tried food from Nash & Proper, Oren's Hummus, and The Melt. All were just ok, nothing stand-out spectacular about any of them. We got the Melty Mac from The Melt, which didn't have enough cheese, but it was decently priced and portioned so it was one of the better parts of the meal. The Yellow Falafel Hummus Bowl from Oren's was ok, decently flavored and the pieces of pita were pretty big. Nothing super stand out about it, you could probably get the same thing anywhere else that sells Mediterranean. Nash & Proper was a let down, and was really what brought the review down to 3 stars. We got the 1/4 Bird with seasoned fries, and the fries were amazing. Crispy, well seasoned, and they gave you a whole lot. The issue was with the bird--so salty, like excessively so. Maybe it was just the piece I got? The chicken seemed overcooked, it was dry and super hard to bite through; I'm a huge fan of crisp and crunch, but this was not it. We got so much chicken but it almost felt inedible. Additionally, it comes with no sauces besides the ketchup, mustard, and other staple condiments you can find at the order pickup station. So, dry chicken and 50 cent small sauce cups seems like kind of a blow to me. Hope next time is better. read more

We really wanted to like this place. We tried twice since they opened and both times the food was mediocre. It's time we thought it was because they had just opened. We had the Nash and proper chicken tenders, fries, a falafel bowl, and a sushi bowl. The fries were really good. Loved the seasoning. Everything else was so so. The falafel was hard and burnt and the bowl was missing ingredients I requested on the check box menu. The chicken tenders were hard and over cooked. The owner or manager was there and asked about our meal and I tried to be nice and only shared the falafel bowl was missing some items. She was really nice and said she wanted to make it up to us, but I declined. The second time was tonight. We ordered 2 melt burgers, melt fries, tomato soup with croutons an ice cream, and another sushi bowl. This time the burgers were hammered. So overcooked and burnt. My son wouldn't touch it. We sent one back and suffered through the other. Fries were fries. Ice cream was delicious. Soup was ok, but croutons were gross because they were just soggy bread by the time texted us. Also one of the employees kept sneezing into her wrist, didn't change gloves and was placing food in peoples bags. It was gross. I would recommend updating the ordering system. There is no way to make special requests like asking for stuff on the side vs on a sandwich. You either can have the item on the burger/plate or you don't get it. And no meat temperatures for the burger. So far I've experienced only super well done. The menu also isn't very kid friendly. To get a plain burger you have to pay over $8. I wanted to love this place, but we probably won't be back. read more

Food is not bad but the pickup wait is HORRIBLE. I had to wait 30 minutes to pick up one pita bread and hummus. Those are things that don't even need to be cooked. Just throw it in a bag. I could have gone to Safeway, purchase the same things, gone home and eaten it and still be faster. Something is definitely wrong with the organization. read more

saw another review mentioning flies, so i decided i should add my experience: the place was swarming with flies when i visited last saturday!!! seeing so many flies in the main dining area makes me wonder how many flies are in the kitchen.... both my friend and had any of our food, and we got sick immediately. when i came back from the restroom, there were about 8 flies swarming the table and my friend was attempting to swat them away. there were at least half a dozen flies on my sandwich at once even as i was trying to get them to fly away. we packed up our food and left immediately, but i was way too grossed out by the flies to even attempt to eat my leftovers (literally the whole sandwich except one bite). read more

Cooper B provided me and my girlfriend with great help and made the decision making easy. Not only did Cooper provide a great attitude, but he gave suggestions and his opinions which were very helpful. I wanted to write this review for the sole reason of letting everybody know about Cooper's warm light. They ran out of silverware today. They "put up a sign," but strategically placed it in the back so that people would order and only find out afterwards. If they had put the sign up front I would not have had an issue; that would have been honest. But they were clearly trying to avoid hurting their revenue, even if that meant customers would have to take their food to go unexpectedly or eat with their hands. read more

I was really excited to see a new place here so decided to try the Tri Tip Sandwich. The lettuce and avocado were basically rotten, I scraped them off the sandwich just to be able to eat it. They had obviously gone bad (black spots on lettuce and the avocado), so I don't know how the kitchen staff even allow the use of those ingredients, is there no standard to the quality of food? we decided to stop into this new place tonight to try out some of their food. the ordering system was quick and easy, all of your options listed there. once ordered, you put in your number to receive updates. it was a busy night so food took a while, understandably. by the time the food was ready, we were starving. my boyfriend got the green falafel bowl and i got the mac and cheese and we shared an order of fries and a side of pickles. the best food was the side of pickles unfortunately. the falafel was flavorless and dry with limited toppings. the mac and cheese seemed to be warmed in a microwave and tasted like dishwater. overall, we would not come back here again. maybe because they were busy the quality was lacking. the food is reasonably priced but overall so disappointing. read more
