Dear Local Bug Guy, With the heat and humidity, the ants marched out in full force this summer. In the past we used a one-time-caught-in-a-bind kind of extermination service. When I called them to help this year, they flaked, and I went back to Yelp. I found Local Bug guy and called Julie. She was really helpful and explained they don't do single services, but rather it is a constant war on Ants. I explained I needed to talk to my husband, but the numbers made sense. The cost of twice a year extermination service at the one-time fee versus their service, it was clear we would be saving money. My husband gave me the green light, and Julie was able to set up service that day! James came out and was pleasant and professional. He was friendly with the dogs and kids. He was quick and efficient. The ants left... Well maybe they just went on vacation, because two months later they were home again. I called Julie again, and she arranged for us to get same-day service again! James was back out and used a different product to help subdue the ant colony! He sprayed between the cushion between the pool and sidewalk. He explained that with the dog's run, we might always battle because of the poop and dog food. But we'll keep trying! AND he left bug stickers for the kids when they got home from school! (It's so nice to use a company that remembers its customers!) The ants are gone and we are happy! We had our initial treatment done 10 days ago with Jarrod and I'm not kidding when I say I haven't seen a single spider, or any bug for that matter, inside our home.
