Really made me feel like he cared about what he was doing--he wasn't just there to spray and get paid. Now we're on the 3 month schedule; I love that they email a few days in advanced so we can make sure pets are inside. I just can't believe how stress free and easy they have made everything. Mike is our service technician and he is great at working with us on our needs and our schedule. We've had several treatments above and beyond a normal bug spraying and Brent & Mike have always been helpful and willing to work with us on whatever our needs are. When we need something they always come out within 24 hours and take care of us. I've been using the Local Bug Guy for a couple of years now and they are above and beyond the best bug control company!! They initially came to service within a day of me calling them while other companies couldn't come for weeks! Wayne was my "guy" initially and he was fantastic. Now I've got Eric and he's been just as wonderful! He texts me when he's coming to spray, asks if there's any problems, let's me know when he's finished if I'm not home. They also come RIGHT AWAY in between my regular service if I see anything and there's no additional cost. Very nice and professional over the phone. He was able to get me an appointment right away. I love the Local Bug Guy! I have used them for almost two years and I have never had a bad experience! When I first moved back into my house the renters had moved out earlier than expected and my house was infested with ants and spiders. We tried remedies from stores and NOTHING was working! Finally I was fed up and I just happened to find the Local Bug Guy online. They came out and did one treatment and the problem bugs were gone! This month I had to reschedule my service not once but twice due to my own scheduling conflicts! had a ridiculous ant infestation in my back house due to my son throwing his uneaten food there for over a month without taking the trash out. It was literally one of the most disgusting things that I have ever seen. I'm actually getting quezy a thinking about it. I like to handle bad reviews/issues with the owner or office mgr, unfortunately this matter has been going on for too long. They have been texting me back and forth since July 31st. On Monday August 3rd via text I'm told they have an opening between 8-10am for this Thursday , I said ok. Well today is Thursday and it's well past 8-10, I text them back and apparently it was miscommunication and I didn't reply back with my info. They had my cell #, since they were texting me. I asked to speak with an office mgr, and now no reply's and I tried calling and went straight to voicemail. This isn't a good 1st impression or good customer service that all the yelp reviews talk about. read more

We used to control our own pest issues but one day while playing with a toy BBQ set, my son found a black widow. As we looked around the backyard we found more widows, eggs and webs. Their rates were excellent and during our first appointment Mike walked the house taking note of our problem areas and pointing out additional areas he thought may become issues. Ever since our first service our house has been free of anything that could hurt our kids. We really appreciate the extra time Mike takes each visit to inform us about the season and what type of bug activity we can expect. And you have to respect a company who is so confident in their service/products that they are willing to come back for free in between scheduled services for any follow up work if needed. I do not usually leave reviews, but feel that it was necessary since I found this pest control on yelp. I had their service for about 2 years with no problems. My service tech's name was Jarrod. When the Covid lockdown occurred, I needed to reschedule/skip one of my scheduled services. My tech was informed and told me it was no problem and he resumed his regular service about 10 days ago. There was no problem with this. He told me to call him back if any ants reappear, which I did by email about 6 days later. Normally, Jarrod would always call me by phone to confirm the appointment times and on the day of service, he would usually give us a reminder/courtesy call a half hour to an hour before he arrived. In any case, this morning, a person claiming to be the owner/general manager (Wayne) showed up at our house. I was not expecting his visit and did not confirm any appointment. By the time we got to the door to answer, he was already back at his car. When he saw us, he returned to the house. We told him we would unlock the back gate for him. About 5 minutes later, he came pounding back at the door, wanting to know where the ants were in the backyard and why I was not out there to show him exactly where they were. This would be difficult since I am visually impaired. I tried to explain to him where they were coming in the house, but he did not seem very happy. About 5 minutes later, he came pounding on the front door again. As soon as I open the door, he was very upset and said he is cancelling my contract because we are wasting his time and that he was upset we skipped out service because of the coronavirus. He also was complaining that he didn't have our phone number and we wasted his time by not answering the door soon enough and that he was upset he had to wait at our community gate to get in. I don't know what his problem is with our contact information. We registered online with this company when we first started and his tech Jarrod always reached us by email and phone. I do not like to judge or make assumptions about people, but customer service is important. This gentlemen may have been having a really bad day but that is no reason to take out his stress or problems out on his customers. Maybe his company has gotten so big that it is a waste of time for him to be polite to customers he has had for 2 years. Due to this experience, I will no longer be using this company or recommending it to others. This is unfortunate because the tech we originally had was very polite and helpful. read more

We bought our house in July, the second we moved in we had a crazy ant and spider problem. Called local big guy and they came right out. I was pregnant, with a 2 year old and we have 2 dogs so I was worried about the chemicals. James is out technician and explained all the chemicals to me and what they do. Every three months he is the one to come out and spray. He is always very professional and nice.
