Absolutely delicious! I had the lobster mixed with other seafood very fresh and amazing. I sat at the bar. The customer service was great, super friendly. The only thing that was a little hard was the parking lot because there was so many people in there on a weekday.

Great tap at the outside patio bar, friendly service and very good food. The paella was outstanding with a spicy saffron rissotto holding it down for shrimp, lobster, mussels, scallops, clams, chorizo in a tomato base. Smoky, briny, spicy, taste of the ocean throughout. A crispy Sonoma chardonnay on this perfect summer day helped it along. Service was perfectly snarky and loveable barback attentiveness, smiles and good Gloucester vibes all around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Live acoustic tunes done adequately enough added some chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Visiting town and locals recommended this spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was super busy at dinner time, so we knew it must be good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Didn't like that a lot of dishes were fried, but the food was good, drinks were good and the service was great! The French onion crock was good. However the Tuna Tower was amazing! I'd order that again in a heartbeat. Lazyman's lobsta was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great little sports bar restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Causal atmosphere and lively![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow! Such a great place and right off the highway. Plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is fairly big with lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were at a table with a view and loved it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We ordered fish and chips and a lobster roll. Everything was perfect. The fish and chips portion was huge so obviously took a to-go box. The bartender went above and beyond to bring over the NA beer options and a chilled glass...plus he gave his feedback on them. It was excellent service and very unexpected. Our server did a fantastic job checking in on us and making sure we were all set. I recommend checking it out because it's worth it.

Ask the Community - Lobsta Land

When does lobsta land close for the season?

    2 Sunday of December ! ☺️

    Do they need reservations?

LobstaLand does take reservations though I think they might stop if they get to many. When we went, they had just stopped on reservations for the night but we were able to get in imediately anyway.

    Are they wheel chair accessible?

It would appear so but would call the restaurant to make sure!!

Hungry and with no time for deeper research, we decided to try Causeway Restaurant after seeing its high Yelp rating. The restaurant shares a small front parking lot with White Farms Ice Cream, but fortunately, we easily found parking in the back. Our first impression was that the place feels quite outdated. The tables are packed very closely together, making it difficult to get to your seat or even visit the bathroom without accidentally brushing against other diners. There's also only one bathroom for the entire restaurant, and it could definitely use some refreshing. The biggest issue during our visit was the heat. It was 86°F outside, and unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working. The restaurant was very hot, and I genuinely felt bad for the staff who had to cook and serve in those conditions. On the positive side, Causeway is BYOB, which is a nice option. According to the menu, they charge $1 per glass for beer and wine setup. The menu prices are comparable to those at much fancier seafood restaurants. We ordered cheeseburgers from the kids' menu (ours were supposed to be medium but came out a little burnt), as well as smelt and fish-and-shrimp platters. The seafood itself was fresh, although we felt it could have used a little more seasoning and salt. The absolute best part of our experience was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. Our server was especially attentive and wonderful with the kids. We even noticed how warmly she greeted regular customers and treated them almost like family. That kind of hospitality really stands out. Overall, I think Causeway has a lot of potential. The fresh seafood and excellent staff are a great foundation, but the restaurant would benefit significantly from some renovations, better spacing between tables, a refreshed bathroom, and working air conditioning. With those improvements, the fairly high menu prices would feel much more justified.

To start, the atmosphere is ideal for a beautiful summer night. It was airy, clean, lively and so inviting with twinkling ceiling lights. My family of 5 loved the overall decor. We also loved the view, ocean air and beautiful breeze as we ate the delicious food. We felt like we were on a Cape vacation. The food was just as satisfying. My husband said the baked haddock was the very best he's ever had. My Mediterranean salmon was also outstanding. My mother and sister raved about their appetizers, including jumbo shrimp, clams and steamers. Everything we ordered was excellent. I was especially pleased with the serving size. Some restaurants have a nice presentation, yet small serving size, but not Seaport, it had both. To top it off, the Sherry Berry is a dessert everyone must try! Perfect finish to a perfect meal. In addition to the restaurant itself and amazing food, the service was excellent. We were greeted by the extremely friendly manager, Carter, and were well taken care of by our personable waitress Kristina. She was so attentive and pleasant throughout our whole meal. Nicely portioned, flaky piece of fish with fresh lettuce, tomato and thinly sliced onion. The fries were crisp, hot and salted perfectly. The tartar sauce was predictably if uneventful at best. The fried shrimp and fish n chips were cooked perfectly and portioned well. The ambiance was nice, decor is contemporary nautical, elegant and tasteful. As the crowd gathered, the noise level became unbearable. Couldn't hold a conversation without shouting across our tiny table. Our server was pulling double duty as bartender and handling two tables across from the bar which was unmanageable for one person. Service was slow... like really slow. 120 min for three fried entrees and one app. and we weren't in a rush but it took forever. I felt badly as they could have easily turned this table 2-3 times more than they did. Beer was cold. Ice water was aplenty. Food 7/10. Service was polite and friendly but slow as molasses. They need a full time bartender asap at least for weekend evenings when it's busier. For some added yet unexpected entertainment a rude senior was addressed by the manager for clanging his silverware on a glass for no reason other than to be rude and annoying while trying to get the attention of his server. This caused a bit of a stir because he raised his voice in disdain to being criticized for not acting appropriately. His childish tantrum was handled efficiently by the manager. She admirably suggested he leave the premises which would have been supported by the other patrons. Those present seemed to think an apology by this customer to the server for being disrespectful was in order but that didn't happen. Just an unfortunate event for an already struggling staff trying to shake things out at a newer business. The server didn't deserve this at all. I think they will be fine once all cylinders are firing.

Listen up for your name and they will bring you your food on a tray. A family of three shared the 3 chicken lobsters for $50 during the 2025 season, and a dozen raw oysters for $30. My single lobster was $18. Single oysters $3 apiece. Creamy clam chowder $7. Stuffed clam $3. The $30 cold lobster roll came with cole slaw and a bag of chips. The hot dog roll looked small but was well filled with fresh sweet lobster meat. Her smoked salmon $8 were two thick chunks of fish. My hot in-shell boiled lobster arrived several minutes after, pre-cracked. Carefully poured out the green water, and I went at it. Making use of the sink by the bathroom afterwards to get cleaned up. Looking right out onto Gloucester Harbor, the location and the views are incredible. It's also an incredibly cool, modern spot. The interior has high ceilings and cool decor (it used to a fisherman's union hall), and the outside seating couldn't be more beautiful with those Gloucester Harbor views. The restaurant serves fresh New England seafood, dishes made with seasonal and regional produce and meat, and dishes made using their live-fire grill and smoker! No kidding, I wanted everything on this menu. My mom eats vegetarian/mostly vegan, so she ordered two small plates for herself that were veggie-focused. I ordered their smoked monkfish burnt ends (with lemongrass chili crunch and apple & celery root slaw) and their pan seared scallops (with summer mushroom risotto, smoked brisket jam, and sun-dried tomato butter). Both dishes were great. I couldn't eat all of it, but I took the leftover burnt ends home and sliced them up for sandwiches the next two days (made the best sandwiches). The risotto was one of the best I've ever had - absolutely great flavor, but I did wish they'd gotten a little more color/sear on the scallops themselves - but they weren't overcooked, which is the most important part of the cook on a scallop! I really loved my meal. Their wine list was also great, and I had a wonderful glass of Bourgogne Blanc. The service was great - Sabrina was our server, and she was wonderful! This is a popular spot, so you need a reservation if you want to grab dinner here during popular hours. We had a reservation for around 7 on a Saturday night, and a group of two walked in without a reservation and were told they had an opening for walk-ins around 9. We had to wait a bit for our table but otherwise our meal was pretty perfect service-wise. We had a great meal at Oak to Ember. I'd love to return.
