    Lobster roll, whole lobster

When I tell you I'm STILL thinking about this lobster! Blue Collar is a lobster restaurant right on the water, which grants you beautiful ocean views while you engorge. The service was fine, but the main event was the HEAPING servings of lobster they give you. My friend and I got the lobster roll and the whole lobster, and I'm still dreaming about both. What a delicious place!

We have a ton of good fish shacks on our little island of Cape Ann and this one is as good as any number of them. You place your order at the counter and fast and efficiently you'll be eating your uber fresh seafood! Don't let the lines or big crowds scare you away tables turn over pretty quickly and it's worth a few minutes of waiting time if a table isn't available. Live music on the weekends is an added plus.

What a fun place!!! I came here this past Saturday for my friend's 60th birthday celebration and then took my husband here the following day to celebrate Father's Day! :) The band, view, staff, and food were all awesome!!! We ate the Tuna poke bowl, Fried Haddock sandwich, and Cheeseburger. Next time, I'm ordering the Onion Rings because they looked yummy!

We went here after going on the Cape Ann Whale Watch. Loved the location, loved everything about that. You order at a counter and are asked to tip, before you've ever even seen the food. You have to go get your drinks at a separate location. These lobster rolls photograph beautifully and the fries were delicious, but the lobster rolls had absolutely ZERO flavor. None. You couldn't taste the butter, the mayo, nothing. It was so disappointing. It was $10 for a plastic cup of beer, you have to get your own water. To be so highly rated, it was a total let down. The ambience is great, too. Great place to people watch, but dropping $100 for two lobster rolls and a beer was a bit disappointing. And before you ask, no, we didn't let anybody know. Who would we have told? No one seemed particularly interested in whether or not their guests are being taken care of. If it's service and flavorful food you're looking for, skip this place.

Awesome! 1) Well, if you want the ultimate lobster roll, this is the place. Fresh, large and delicious. 2) this is a serve yourself kind of restaurant. You order at one window and pick up at the other. Seating is outdoors by Gloucester Harbour so very scenic. 3) I ordered the fish combo, which included clams, shrimp, calamari, fish, and fries. The portions were HUGE! The height of the food on my plate was staggering. Even better was the taste--everything was fresh, tasty and delicious. 4) this place is about GOOD FOOD and large portions. It's Boston Seafood heaven, and if I might say so, this is what Legal Sea Foods used to be 30 or 40 years ago. Highly recommended!

I love going here to eat when the weather is nice outdoors. It's outdoor seating next to the docked boats. You may even see one of the Wicked Tuna captains at their boat. This restaurant is part of The Gloucester House. There is covered seating so you don't need to worry too much about seagulls dive bombing to steal your food. It's cafeteria style so order at the window and bus your table. I find the prices and portions reasonable. Fisherman's platter is shareable unless you're a really big eater. I often split it with my 2 teenagers - one eats the fish, one eats the calamari & clams, I eat whatever they don't. Tuna poke is fresh and has a nice variety of toppings but I'd prefer hot rice, not cold, and I don't mean room temp, it's cold rice. There's a parking lot nearby and bathrooms are clean.

We enjoyed a meal here after whale watching at 7 seas. A lobster roll really hit the spot- we got the hot kind with butter (but you can also get the cold kind with mayo). The meat was deliciously fresh, to the extent that it was a bit sweet. The roll was stuffed- you had to eat some first, before picking it up, so it wouldn't spill. We also enjoyed fried seafood, such as calamari and shrimp. They also offer live and steamed lobsters at reasonable prices.

We found this spot while exploring the Gloucester area. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We dined on the deck while watching the boats come and go. My husband ordered fried shrimp which was a lot of food, cooked perfectly. I had the lobstah roll and it was so much juicy, buttery lobster I gave up finding the roll! I had enough lobster and fries for another meal at home later. I got a spicy passion fruit margarita from the bar next door which was delicious as well!

This was a spur of the moment find on our way to Hammond Castle (also well worth a visit). We were…read morehangry and looking for breakfast-ish options and Source Bakery more than hit the spot. Their menu is centered around the almighty biscuit - biscuits/scones are one of my favorite ways to inhale carbs but they can run on the too bread-y side of the spectrum. These were fantastic: delicate crumb, beautiful golden color, and sturdy enough to hold in all the sandwich fillings. I went with the classic breakfast egg sandwich (scrambled egg, cheese, and arugula) and added sausage. This was one of those rare situations where the bread vehicle outshined the fillings. The egg, while nice and fluffy (and tasted like real egg instead of the diluted mix I've had elsewhere), could have used some more seasoning and was begging for a healthy dollop of ketchup or hot sauce. The only thing that came through strongly was the salt crystals on the top of the biscuit. Tried a bite of my husband's chicken salad on a cheddar/onion biscuit and had the same reaction - the biscuit overpowered everything else. Not that I'm complaining. The bakery is on a side street off the busier, more touristy Rogers Street. I had this idea too late but next time I'm in Gloucester, I'd take a biscuit sandwich to the beach area along Western Ave. The cafe itself is very, very cute, with little nooks and crannies everywhere for seating and even a comfy looking couch. Bathroom was clean. We found a parking lot one street over in the other direction.

We had the sausage, goat, cheese, and arugula biscuit sandwich. It was amazing. We also had the miso breakfast sandwich, which was also excellent though it is just served on regular bread, which isn't anything remarkable. We also got a monkey bread which we had gotten before, and it was delicious. They also recommended a sweet hand pie, and we got the apple one. It was also excellent - not too sweet, not heavy, just flaky goodness. This is an absolute five star experience worth every bite of saturated fat, salt, and sugar!!
