I sent in a request for a quote and was quoted $1600 because I wasn't flexible with my moving dates or $500 if I could be flexible. When you have to move from one place to another because your lease is up you can't exactly be flexible and it's a month away so it's not like it's short notice. All I needed was for someone to load my heavy stuff from a 2 bedroom apartment into a truck and unload it at my new place. We are talking 2 couches, a tv cabinet, 2 beds, a couple of dressers and coffee table and you want $1600 ha what a joke and no thanks when there are companies that will do it for $250. You might want to rethink your pricing, I wouldn't even pay that if you were going to pack my entire place up for me, pay for the moving truck and and unpack and put everything away for me. My husband and I hired Loading Helpers to move furniture and other heavy items to our new home in Reno. We were moving on the hottest weekend of the year yet Junior, Charlie and Augie worked extremely hard for hours with no complaints. They were wonderful to work with, as well as their Regional Manager, Ben Pierce. These men are very professional, polite, hard-working and just plain nice. I originally found an ad for Loading Helpers on Craigslist. They were actually the second company I called after the first led me to a disconnected line. I was pleasantly greeted by a courteous receptionist who immediately patched me through to one of the two owners, I spoke with Steve. He thoroughly took down my information and requirements and went out of his way to let me know that we would be contacted the day before so I wouldn't be concerned as to whether they would be showing up or not. I felt that their prices were reasonable and I didn't feel like I was being hustled or upsold whatsoever. From that first call, I got the impression that I was dealing with a company that is genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. It was also nice that both Steve and the receptionist communicated clearly and in a pleasant manner. Two days prior to the move we had some changes to our requirements and were going to need the movers for a few additional hours. They were able to accommodate to these last minute changes with ease. The day before the move, we received our confirmation call as promised. The day of the move the two movers (Jesse and another guy, sorry I can't remember his name) showed up right on time. They were hard working, communicated well, were really good with getting feedback on the specifics of where things needed to go and what there was for them to do. All I can say is WOW! Exceptional service. Ben stayed in constant contact since I was unsure of my move date, and even when I scheduled a really awkward day and time, he was kind enough to work things out to change it to a much more convenient one at the last minute! Chris and Jesse showed up promptly and got the job done efficiently without damaging a thing. We all even took a break and had lunch together. It was like moving with friends. I worked closely with Ben from beginning to end on our moving date and subsequent changes. Always very professional, courteous and communicated everything up front. We had a three team crew show up for our big move and they were outstanding. They knew how to pack a 26 foot truck with all our items! If you need a local move these are the guys to use. I was a little nervous at first on paying for a couple of hours but I can tell you these guys did a great job. I called Ben and told what I needed move he gave me the estimate and it worked out perfectly. You tell them what your priorities are on what you want moved and than make a nice open lane to move your items and they start working. The crew they sent was supervised by and gentleman named Junior and they never stopped working. The crew Ben sent over are very nice and easy to talk to if you need something done. I echo all of the positive comments. I had three ABF U-Pack Cubes that needed to be unloaded. Ben, the owner, was professional, quick and got the unpacking labor scheduled very quickly about two weeks prior to their arrival. I received a confirmation email of my order and then a few days before U-Pack arrival, Ben called to confirm everything. The day of cube arrival, he called me a few more times to confirm U-Pack cube delivery time. His staff showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time and started unloading. They had experience with U-Pack Cubes, which was a plus, because they are not like PODS and different strapping mechanisms. Junior (and Jesse?) were great. They were careful, friendly, quick and asked if I wanted anything set aside from the morass of boxes. I could not be more delighted. Use this company and you will have a great experience. read more

Ben and his team are amazing! Ben stayed in contact with me right when I made the appointment, about a week before, a few days before, and then the morning of when the guys were going to come. He called and talked to me while the guys were moving everything, and then after everything was done in case there was some heavy furniture put where I didn't want it or anything. He called me a week after to make sure everything was still ok. His guys were on time, were very helpful and friendly. They let me borrow a power drill and helped me hang my headboard on the wall, way above and beyond. They were very attentive and always asked questions if they didn't know where I wanted things put. Contacted Loading Helpers for in-house move of beds, dressers, tables and one very large and very heavy entertainment center that needed to be moved to our second floor. Not sure if it could be done due to the length, stairs and weight. The Loading Helpers team put a lot of thought into moving this one item, carefully not to damage walls or the furniture itself. I have to say, this team is as good as it gets! They moved all our items including this one very large/heavy item with skill and professionalism. There is no doubt in my mind this team is the best in town for moves! Also, the follow-up and communication is excellent and they are with you every step of the way. We also moved numerous items in our two garages, re-packed numerous boxes and it looks better than ever before! He bent over backwards to get me the help I needed even though it was last minute AND over the holidays. I recently used this moving company and once I seen and overheard the conversations between the movers when they assumed no one was around .....It made me REGRET using them! They talked about DRUGS! Also gang affiliated! I do not recommend for any one to use this company. I had a security system installed the same week just so I can feel at ease. I am so impressed with this company. We used them to clear out a storage unit. When I called, I loved it that I immediately talked to a real live person! She took some preliminary information from me, then passed me on to Ben. Ben was great. He was helpful, he was responsive, he went the extra mile to accommodate our schedule and timeline. As he promised, he called the day before the move to confirm the time, then on the day of the move he called with updates to make sure we were all on schedule. It was wonderful not to have to worry if the crew was going to be there as promised - there was never a doubt because Ben was on top of it all. After the move was complete, his crew called him and put me on the phone with Ben. He wanted to make sure everything was good and that I was satisfied. His final question was "Is there anything else my crew can do for you"? Now that, my friends, is extraordinary customer service . Carlos and Carlos, our movers, were polite, hard working, and friendly. They were careful with our items, and didn't complain when I occasionally got in their way :) They moved a large armoire up our staircase to the master bedroom, and it was one tough job.
