Im moving across country and using a POD. Time is of the essence, POD only there for 4 days. I've used them 3 times, they were HORRIBLE the 3rd time.....they now suck! Owner, Chris, is going thru a divorce and he f$cked everything up. They never showed, no call. Chris said his soon-to-be ex, "probably" took me off the books. Showed up the next day (actually pushed for Monday) with 3 men but "no truck!" I even had to use my personal vehicle, gas, and wear on the car. Then they over charged me and still no one will tell me why. Chris finally said don't talk to me, I wasn't there! That's the owners response!!! NEVER, NEVER, and I mean NEVER use Clutter Brothers. I'll consider updating my review but for now I'll leave as is. To start off, they were very fast to provide and estimate. They quoted lower than all the other estimates so I decided to move forward with them. Put down a deposit, but it took a bit of following up on my side to move things forward (time scheduled and link to pay deposit). I will say that they were very flexible on time and date so that was a huge positive. Specifics of the move: Moving from a 1 bedroom apartment in downtown Reno to a 2 story house in Sparks. Initially quoted for a two man crew for 3 hours. Discussed the price for additional time (pay by the hour and not prorated which was fine). Moving: Father son duo (don't remember their names) showed up after calling to inform that they were on their way. I unfortunately picked one of the busiest days in downtown to move (Saturday during hot august nights). The movers were nice and worked very hard to get everything loaded. It did seem strange that they didn't seem to have the proper equipment for moving (no dolly, blankets, etc.). After loading up they asked for the address and headed on their way. I left after but arrived at my new place about 20 minutes before. Had I moved on a different weekend it would have been less of a difference. They unloaded all our stuff with minimal to no scuffs/damage and placed items where directed. Spoke with Chris after they finished unloading to go over the specifics in terms of moving time. Payment: No issues on my end paying for the 3.5 hours (rounded to 4) including travel time. I requested an invoice after speaking with Chris on Sunday to collect payment and was told I would get it by the end of the day. 4 days later and still no invoice. Update: Finally received the invoice. Was told I was undercharged $12.44 because there is a 5% charge for credit cards. This should have been disclosed. Not great transparency on their part. Here's the breakdown: $460.50 initial estimate $210 deposit ~$153 for every additional hour $460.50-$210=$250.50 $250.50+$153=$403.50 5% charge=$30.70 Total cost=$644.17 Overall, I was happy with the move and will update once I get my invoice. I'd suggest making sure your movers are fully equipped to hand the move and not rely on back breaking work. The moving crew was 5/5 but the back end service was lacking. read more

Recently hired clutter brothers to take a couch out of my house and dispose of it. It was a very smooth and seamless process. I would recommend having a little cash on hand if you want to tip the movers. I regret not having a way to tip them as they were very friendly and helpful. Responsiveness, communication, and price were all good until it mattered. I had an 8 AM appointment. I emphasized to them I had a flight to catch and on time service was important. It's a 20-30 minute job. I show up early. 8 AM comes and goes. I'm in a storage unit, which requires a code to get in. So i called them, left a message, left a message on Yelp to let me know if they were coming or there or whatever. I run an errand at 815. I get a call at 830 with an apology. No problem. Let's go. Okay, so we had been trying to find movers for a small but heavy job! And everyone I mean EVERYONE blew us off & would not take our job. The few that said they would were going charge a RIDICULOUS amount! But these guys CLUTTER BROTHERS came through and not only took our small job but also worked with us on a VERY fair price! After much frustration dealing with the power company, Waste Management and others dealing with tearing down a small house in a Sparks alley, it was SO refreshing dealing with someone whose word means something, actually calls you back, and follows through!
