Welcome to Loaded Empanadas! The restaurant is located on 750 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. They quickly bring out a couple ice waters. For our Sangria Tower we are having the Traditional Red (red wine with orange and blackberry blends), Just Peachy (peach, strawberry, pineapple with white wine) and Lychee Sangria (Champagne with lychee juices). Oh my! What presentation! That's a lot of alcohol! I'll start with the Traditional Red. It's very tasty and not very strong. Each is nicely garnished. I'm now trying the Just Peachy. It's nice! Cute garnish and tasty! Not overly strong. For my next drink, I'm trying the Lychee Sangria. This is probably my favorite! For our meal, we are having the Loaded Empanadas which are going to be Passion Chicken (chicken and mango salsa in passion fruit sauce served with spicy mango sauce), Tropical Sea (sweet maple glaze shrimp, peppers, caramelized pineapple served with a spicy remoulade) and Magic Mojo (Mojo-marinated pork, corn and carrot served with a spicy guacamole sauce). The owner even did a table touch! First up is Magic Mojo (pork). This is good! I love that fruity sauce! I've asked for a hot peppers. They only have malaguetas. What are those? I stopped by Loaded Empanadas for the first time and was honestly impressed. The empanadas were delicious, filling, and worth every bite. The staff (SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO JESUS) was super nice and made us feel welcome. Definitely one of those places i would highly recommend! Everything is made fresh and in-house. Loaded Empanadas also hold special events so be sure to check their website or social media for any updates. Jesus informed us that they hold events for special holidays like mother/fathers day, cooking classes, etc. Love the look and style inside, the design and the artwork is so beautiful. Also LOVE the style of the bathroom door. They also offer games to play and really enjoy yourself too! The empanada was served with a small container of Mojo aioli. The service was Was different from the publisged menu. Course 2 was served first and it was perfect! I ordered the mushroom soup. It was very hearty and served very hot. For the empanada course, the Cubano was a good choice. The flavor that came through the most was the pulled pork. The other ingredients stated on the menu didn;t stand out as much. The mojo aioli was outstanding. For dessert, there isn't a choice at lunch. It is flan and it was very good. It was very close to what my wife's aunt used to make to spoil me. Soft, creamy, with a great flavor, it was a perfect ending to this lunch. I definitely will be back. I have had Loaded Empanadas on my list and was glad to see them on Restaurant Week which allowed me to help Three Square. I had their 3 course lunch special at midafternoon. They were not very busy and service was fast and my server Alejandra was friendly and helpful with the menu. The restaurant has a comfortable vibe with upbeat Latin music. I chose the Tropical Sea Empanada with sweet maple glazed Shrimp, caramelized pineapple and peppers and served with Spicy Remoulade Sauce. The Empanadas come 2 to an order and you can choose baked or fried. The baked take a little longer but that was my choice and did not disappoint. Simply Delicious. My choice of side was Yum Yum Broccoli. Perfectly cooked Brussels Sprouts with roasted garlic and paprika oil. Dessert was Chocolate Mousse. Smooth, intense chocolate with a whipped cream topping. What a wonderful experience. I've had my eye on this place for a while and we finally went in for a late lunch. Dante greeted us at the door and sat us at a nice comfortable table. The place has an exotic feel, like being in someone's home. The menu had many delicious items, Dante reviewed the options then suggested the "Lunch Special" and I'm glad he did. This comes with 2 Empanadas, a side, and a drink. More than enough food, but we ordered a couple tapas as well. We had the Classic, and the Magic Mushroom Empanadas and the Broccoli along with the Tomato bisque and the roasted peppers on the side. Everything was so delicious and filling. Attend their Master Empanada cooking class and had a great time! Food, drinks and learning to make empanada all for $45, can't beat this deal. Class started at 6pm in the upstairs area of the restaurant. The owner and the head chef lead the class on how to make empanadas. They demonstrated how the dough is made, how to stuff the empanadas and then we got to take turns making empanadas to take home and cook. We also learned how to make their delicious bacon wrapped dates! While the cooking lesson is being taught you get an order of empanadas, dates wrapped in bacon, some drinks and desserts at the end of class. Wow!! We stopped in here with high hopes and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was 100% authentic, high quality, and not run of the mill! Having lived in South America a few years, I am often disappointed when empanadas are simplified...these are not! These are gourmet, as are the tapas. They said everything was made in house - even the chicken bites and fries (never from frozen). We were so surprised on the taste. The food was fresh, delicious and even my kids loved it. They are the biggest food critics. Our server gave us recommendations and always checked on us. They even gave our kids a cool ball game to play after we ate our food while we were ready to leave and pay the tab. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant. You won't regret it. I've been wanting to try this place for ages and finally got the chance. It is a cute, if somewhat narrow, restaurant with a small order counter. When I was there for my to-go order, they were hosting a speed dating which entertained me for a few minutes while waiting for my food to be ready. The pastry is light and flaky on the inside but crisp on the outside, so it won't fall apart but breaks open nicely. An order for between 10 and 15 dollars gets you two decent-sized empanadas. I ordered the Maze Balls - It was stuffed with Meatballs, Manchego, and caramelized onion with a sweet chile marinara sauce that comes on the side. There was plenty of meat inside, but not too much that it all fell out after a bite. The meatballs were spicier than expected or hoped, but it was a good mix of flavor. The sweet chile sauce made it work, though. I also had the Philly - Beef Short Rib with Peppers, shallots, mushroom and cheese. The flavor was the star, though be warned, it can get messy dripping (ie, don't eat it in the car as I did.) Still, it was my favorite of the three I tried. Finally, we had the Veggie Bomb, a tasty mix of broccoli, asparagus, carrot, mushroom, and cheddar. The Asparagus Sauce is good if you like asparagus. Not everyone in my family did. It is great that they have at least two vegetarian-friendly options. They also have a few tapas and several other empanadas, which I will definitely sample when I go back. For dessert, we ordered the churros. They were thick and crunchy and a delicious finish for the meal. They come with caramel sauce and a chocolate sauce. Also, they have a $5.00 happy hour menu from 5-6 p.m. and a full happy hour menu from 7 p.m. till closing. Sangria is 20% off during the evening happy hour. We absolutely loved our experience at Loaded Empanadas! We were walking by and were promptly greeted by our server who came out to say hi to us and invite us in. How could we say no? We were seated immediately and given the run down of the menu. The inside is really cool, with a photo booth downstairs and entire bar area upstairs. Our server was super nice and attentive the entire time. She also made all of our drinks! They were amazing. I got a lychee mocktail and it was really cool, it came with lychees garnished with edible glitter and it was also super refreshing. We got a whole bunch of empanadas to try, but my favorite was the Cubana. It was basically like a sandwich in empanada form, but it was delicious. I also really loved the Philly. Both had such great flavor and paired nicely with the sauces that were brought out. The presentation of everything was awesome. The empanadas came out on a platter with a giant sparkler on top. I couldn't believe I was also able to order an empanada. The Philly has Beef Short Rib, Peppers, Shallots, Mushroom and Cheese. It's served with a Spicy Tomatillo Sauce. All empanadas can be made gluten free for an additional charge. The dough was amazing. It's hard to believe that it was gf. The filling was so delicious, creamy and cheesy with tender beef. The Garlic Steak has chimichurri marinated tri tip in a garlic sauce with caramelized onion. This one is another winner. One dessert that I really miss is Chocolate Mousse. It's a dessert that's outdated. It was very popular in past decades but you don't see it much anymore. Even when it is on the menu it isn't really mousse. It's too heavy. Not at Loaded Empanadas!! Their Chocolate Mousse is the real deal. Light and fluffy and topped with whipped cream. It was so good I would go back just for dessert. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. General manager is unprofessional and rude, called a day before to inquire about brunch but failed to say brunch was only on Saturday and Sunday, next day I order brunch to be informed is not available during the week. Our server was the sweetest. We took our kids ages 4 and 7 and this place has ruined other restaurants for me. Usually we get some crayons while we wait. Here they brought the kids cookies to decorate while we waited for our main courses, then baked them while we ate and served the kids the cookies they had decorated for desert. It was so creative and fun. The kids also got an empanada lesson with the head chef and they sent us home with the empanadas the kids made. The food and drinks were both delicious.
