I am very impressed with this restaurant and honestly kind of upset I don't know about this place sooner! This restaurant is a hidden gem. Chef Rang and Benedict run a very tight ship, offer amazing bites, and the ambiance of the restaurant is a true mom and pop vibe. From the front of house experience to getting to speak to the chef, it makes the experience that much more personal. Now the food- is not short of amazing. The MUST HAVES- Lengua Salpicai, slow braised beef cheek, Chilean sea bass, and the Aligue with Garlic Shrimp! My mom literally cleaned off her plate! Everything was flavorful but well balanced, and it was a very generous portion of food! I left feeling satisfied and excited to try more things on the menu. Thank you to the team at Rang's, we will see you again very soon!

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Rang on West Charleston, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Before ordering, I checked reviews and spoke with a couple of guests, everyone strongly recommended the Chilean Sea Bass, and they were absolutely right. The dish, served in a light coconut cream sauce, was perfectly cooked, delicate, and full of flavor without being heavy. Easily one of the best dishes I've had. My friend ordered the Lengua Salpicao (marinated beef tongue), which I wouldn't try, but my friend stated it was outstanding and clearly a must-try for those open to it. I ordered the Prosciutto & Goat Cheese brochettes, and they were fresh, well-balanced, and delicious. What truly made the experience special was the service. Our server, restaurant owner Benedict was exceptional. He took the time to connect with us, ask where we were from, and create a genuinely warm and personal experience. It felt more like being welcomed into someone's home than dining out. The restaurant itself is small and intimate, but beautifully decorated with a relaxed ambiance and great music that made the entire evening enjoyable. Rang is a true family-run gem. Chef Rang, Benedict's wife delivers food that honestly belongs at a Michelin five-star level, this is the kind of place you root for because you know it deserves recognition. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back.

Such a fun and warm experience dining at Rang's Cocina Moderne. This place had been on my to-try list for a while, but never found the chance to go until my smog check was right next door. My partner and I hadn't made a reservation, but got extremely lucky because there was a table of two left. Benedict introduced himself as the owner with his wife, the chef! He was very nice and helped us decide on what to order. We tried croquettes, very tender and well seasoned beef tongue, fish florentine with a delicate spinach cream sauce we ate up, and aligue with garlic shrimp that was deliciously garlicky! Looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of the menu!!

Nestled in a strip mall, this mom and pop restaurant run by a husband who runs the front of house and his wife in the kitchen is definitely worth a visit. They combine Spanish and Italian food with flair in presentation. We started with the croquettes and our server got us two of each to try both types, which we appreciated. They were both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a nice aioli dollop on top. Overall, we preferred the chorizo ones for the additional flavor. For my entree. I got the carbonara which had a silky sauce with just the right amount of fattiness from the pancetta and parm. The pasta was a good al dente as well. But perhaps the best thing about this place is the personal service to make it the best meal for you. I'd definitely return again for another meal to try the lengua, which apparently is a specialty.

This is my first time here and OMG what a gem of a restaurant in Las Vegas! We've ordered the beef tongue app, it was the softest, most flavorful beef tongue I've ever had in my life. Word is hard to describe how good it is. For entree we had the Sea Bass and the Foie Gras Risotto. It's one of the best seasoned sea bass we ever had. They're light, with a touch of citrus that elevates the natural flavors of sea bass perfectly. And the risotto is really to die for. All the flavors paired up so well and it definitely did not feel too greasy. All perfectly balanced Benedict was also very nice and made our experience tonight very personal. We are definitely coming back!

We had a fabulous experience, the food was amazing and all made from scratch, the decor was nice and had a contemporary touch and the restaurant is a husband and wife establishment with the wife as the chef and husband working the front of the house. We started with a glass of the house red wine from Paso Robles. As we were late diners on a Saturday night, we were given a large pour to finish off the bottle - very generous and the wine was excellent and went very well with the potato and chorizo croquettes and lengua salpicao appetizers. We originally did not order the beef tongue, but the owner mentioned that it was a favorite so we thought we would give it a try and so glad we did, very tender and the garlic broth was excellent. I also had the sweet potato, carrot and ginger soup which was thick and healthy. For mains we had the pesto salmon which came with perfectly prepared mashed potatoes and a large serving of French green beans. So often restaurants over salt potatoes, but these were perfect. The salmon was succulent and perfectly cooked and the pesto complimented it well. There were bread crumbs on top of the pesto giving it a nice crunch, but I needed to take a gluten enzyme as I didn't expect pesto to also have bread crumb. No worries, the enzyme did the trick for me. My husband had the mushroom ravioli and loved that. He also tried the tiramisu and proclaimed that it was perfect and not too sweet. We will make this a regular visit when we come to Las Vegas for shows.

A great friendly atmosphere. The owners Benedict and Rang run a great restaurant with super interesting dishes. Definitely a must try. The lengua was incredible!

Great food, beautiful and clean atmosphere, friendly service, and perfect music. Date night was a nice surprise the other evening. This place is ran by a husband and wife team who are doing it all. Great job! We enjoyed our food very much and have already made plans to return to try some other dishes. My favorites from this night were the very tender meatballs in a red sauce and the slow braised beef cheek that was the most tender. Very pressed.

An amazing carbonara! Fresh pasta, guancile, and perfect balance of flavors.

We had one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. We ordered several appetizers: the lingua, potato fritters, meatballs, and truffle fries. Every single dish was phenomenal. You can immediately taste the freshness and the care put into the food. We shared a couple of pastas as well: the shrimp pesto and the carbonara. The pesto is clearly made fresh, the pasta itself is fresh and noodles were cooked Al dente, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The carbonara came with crispy guanciale that added the perfect bite and richness. Both pastas were outstanding. For entrées, we shared the Chilean sea bass and the bistec (steak). The sea bass literally melted in my mouth -- I barely even needed to chew it. The sauce was light, flavorful, and complemented the fish beautifully. The steak was cooked perfectly and served with onions that added so much delicious flavor. Every single person in our party loved their meal. Everything tasted homemade, intentional, and incredibly fresh. The couple who owns the restaurant is so sweet and personally came to check on us, which made the experience even better. We highly, highly recommend this spot. An absolute gem that we're so glad we found.

Sept 2023 - Aligue with garlic shrimp pasta

Came back here, and I must say I am impressed that they have maintained their exceptional quality. This time, we still ordered the lengua salpicao but also tried Dulong, Albondigas and the Gambas y chorizo. All these appetizers were really good ! For our entree, in addition to my favorite aligue w/ garlic shrimp pasta, we ordered the slow braised beef cheek, Chilean sea bass and the truffles mushroom and asparagus pasta. These dishes were all amazing! The braised beef cheek was spectacular- very tender and very good flavor. Benedict provided excellent service. Place was clean. Lots of parking in the complex. The drive was absolutely worth it ! I will keep coming back.

Beautiful and comfortable interior.

Spanish & Italian cuisine with an Asian twist. With five stars on Yelp and nearly 200 reviews so far, I anticipated greatness, and this place exceeded every expectation. Located in an unassuming plaza, the moment you step inside, you're transported. The space is intimate and beautifully designed, run by a husband-and-wife team (plus one kitchen assistant). Reservations are a must. Fusion food always excites me, and this menu delivers. Every dish was a hit, but the slow-braised beef cheeks stole the show. Fall-apart tender in a rich sauce of root vegetables, wine, and herbs. The cod in spinach cream sauce was so delicate and perfectly cooked, with potatoes that stirred childhood memories so vivid they nearly brought me to tears. We were already planning our return before the plates were cleared. Foodies, take note: if you're craving bold flavors, heartfelt cooking, and something a little different in all the best of ways, book a table here ASAP.

Rang's Cocina Moderne is a unique Mom & Pop hidden gem type of restaurant located not too far from the strip. They offer an interesting menu of Italian, Spanish, and a little Filipino type dishes. It's modern and beautiful inside. This restaurant recently received the Rising Star Award from the Nevada Restaurant Association. I needed to update my review because I've been here over ten times and the food and service is ALWAYS AMAZING. Your money won't be wasted here. That rarely happens in any restaurant anywhere. Usually even a very fine restaurant will have an off day now and then...Rang herself cooks most of the food served here and it's always perfection. Her husband Benedict does most of the serving and it is always warm, friendly, and helpful. Between us on all our visits we tried not all but the majority of the menu and you won't go wrong with anything. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Parking is easy and close. This is one of my most recommended restaurants.

Pasta with crab oil and shrimp and scallop risotto

Rang's was great! Benedict is an attentive and fantastic server, and his wife Rang is a phenomenal chef. We had the prosciutto baguette and truffle fries to start, I had the scallop squid ink risotto as my main with a side of mashed potatoes, and my husband had the pasta with the crab oil and shrimp. Everything was delicious! The restaurant also gifted my husband a slice of tiramisu cake to celebrate his birthday. We had a lovely meal and look forward to returning to try more of the menu.

Some dinners are good. Some are memorable. And then there are the ones where you sit back halfway…read morethrough and realize you're having entirely too much fun. That was this. From the jump, everything just clicked. The pacing felt natural, nothing rushed, nothing forgotten. You could tell there was intention behind the experience, but it never felt forced or overly polished. Just... dialed in. As it was a bit of a slower early evening, chef/owner Justin came to check in several times to see how we were doing and provided explanations of the food and the idea behind each bite. This not just dinner...it was an experience. I went all in on the menu and I'm glad I did, because this kitchen is not playing around. There's a confidence here that shows up on every plate. But a few dishes absolutely ran the table. The foie gras is rich in the way you want it to be, but balanced enough that you don't feel weighed down after a few bites. The wagyu carpaccio is ridiculous, melts instantly and somehow still feels light. And the toro crudo... that one didn't stand a chance. Silky, clean, just enough citrus and heat to keep it interesting. It's the kind of dish where you finish it and immediately wish you hadn't shared. And then there's the ensalada de naranjas. I ordered it three times, which honestly says everything. It shouldn't be the dish you keep thinking about, but here we are. The frisée and fried kale bring texture, the manchego gives it that salty edge, the candied walnuts add just enough crunch. But the oranges are unreal. Sweet in a way that almost doesn't make sense, no bite, no bitterness, just pure citrus perfection. You can tell they're something special, not the kind of thing you find just anywhere. What I appreciated most is that nothing felt like filler. Seafood, meat, vegetables, every dish had a purpose and actually delivered. It's rare to go through that much of a menu and not find a weak spot, but they pulled it off. And the service matched the food. Attentive, sharp, and genuinely welcoming without hovering or making it feel like a performance. The kind of service that makes the whole night flow without you even noticing it. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit, trying to decide if you reorder your favorites or pretend you have self control and try something new. Either way, it's awesome.

We thought perfect because we wanted to try everything anyways. The courses flowed nicely and we were rarely without a fresh plate or food in front of us. The staff was super polite and the chef came around at the end of dinner to talk and asked us how we liked the food. We reordered some our favorites, and left stuffed to the gills. We are all big eaters, and while it is smaller bites, there is plenty of options and chances to order. We left very content. They have a pretty good all you can drink option as well. The food largely delivers, but the ambiance left me wanting more. For a concept with so much cultural richness to draw from, the space feels like a missed opportunity. The one exception is the "e" room, an intimate 9-seat chef's experience that is creatively and beautifully decorated. I peeked in but didn't dine there as it runs around $300 to $400 per person. We started with the manchego, and it set a great tone. The raw sheep's milk flavor is tangy and bright, and the young, creamy texture pairs beautifully with the Marcona almonds. Simple and well executed. The Bikini de Jamón y Queso Manchego was one of the highlights of the night. It's a pressed sandwich of Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, and caramelized onions, served with a honey mustard sauce on the side that is excellent. Sounds simple, tastes remarkable. The Cono de Sobrasada is a cute little bite that comes in a crispy brik pastry cone filled with sobrasada Ibérica, a hint of goat cheese, and a drizzle of honey. The honey is essential here because the sobrasada is bold and intense on its own. It's a fun tapa but I expected a little more from it. For tapas, the Berenjenas Fritas a la Malagueña is a must order. Crispy fried eggplant paired with a light yogurt, lemon, and honey espuma that hits a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Don't skip it. The undisputed star of the night was the Gambas al Ajillo. Shrimp sautéed in olive oil, garlic, and chili peppers with an aroma that pulls you in before the plate even lands on the table. Mouthwatering from start to finish. We closed with the Tarta de Queso, a Basque style cheesecake made with goat cheese, finished with honey and salt. I appreciated the concept and I knew going in that this would be nothing like a traditional cheesecake. That said, I've had better versions of this dish elsewhere. This one was slightly overbaked and a touch dry, and the flavor didn't quite reach the depth it promised. Overall a memorable Spanish dinner with some real standouts. Lean into the tapas, order the gambas without hesitation, and save room for the Bikini. You will have mind-blowing combinations like cotton, candy and foie gras or beets and manchego or the most amazing crab dish you've ever had in my life. The service is spot on, and the flavors are delicious. It is an experience everyone should have at least once in life and I would definitely recommend it to any one I meet!!

Pan con Tomate with Jamon; must have. Delicious, fine cut tasty meat, with cheese on bread with olive oil. 2. Mini meat and cheese plate, must have. The honey is raw, still with a honeycomb. Goes well with the meat, cheese and olive oil. 3. Japanese Vaca wagyu 8oz; a must. Perfect amount of fat ; meat is tender nicely seasoned. Make sure medium rare. 4. Japanese Sangria. Plum wine flavored and tasty, loved it. 5. Seafood paella; like any paella it takes a while to prepare. Was not a fan of it. It was a bit bland and dry. But you can just a bit of salt to season it. 6. Beet salad; must have. Love the tender beets with who knows the sauce and dressing. Hints: 1.sit on the counter /bar to get the full experience. 2. The chef made recommendations after ordering and it was spot on. Take the chef's advice. 3. Happy hour is from 6-9pm and delicious options starting at $5.

So, give yourself ample time to play the parking lot vulture game. When you first walk in, be aware there's a dart board that people might be shooting darts at. This is definitely a safety concern if neither party is paying attention. There's not a host stand nor signage indicating if you should stand at the bar awkwardly or if you should seat yourself. So, we stood there for a couple of minutes waiting to be acknowledged. Seating is pretty limited, another thing to be aware of. There were 3 half booth/half table seats (high top) and only bar seats from what I could see. Maybe not the most ADA accessible spot. They were offering happy hour when we were there, which is neat since it was a Saturday at 7pm! They had some good options for drinks and food at $5 a pop. We looked at both the happy hour menu and regular menu. We each ordered a glass of Tempranillo wine. They had some solid options from Spain and elsewhere but not a lot of "by the glass" options. Pretty typical for a small establishment though. Sadly, the paella couldn't be served/prepared? The server stated they were out of some other items. Her wording led me to believe they just didn't have the operational capacity to make more than one paella dish at a time, which is disappointing. The food was mediocre. The octopus was definitely chewy, and seemed like sliced tako that should have been served as nigiri vs what you'd expect at a tapas spot. The bacon wrapped dates were way too big and the weird mini cleavers were not the greatest for trying to cut the food down with--they didn't have normal utensils nor napkins (just small bar napkins). I did like the pan con tomate. Honestly, this place was super disappointing--I started out with 3 stars but then realized through the course of writing this review, 3 was a reach and 2 was more appropriate. I don't think I'll come back here and especially not for a date. They have a LOT to improve on.

It's the kind of lineup that genuinely makes you curious to try everything. However, while the potential for a 5-star experience is clearly there, the execution still feels like it's chasing that final "je ne sais quoi." The Highlights: Gambas al Ajillo: Absolutely fantastic. The prawns were expertly cooked, and the brown butter confit garlic provided a rich, perfect complement. Wagyu Burger: Once the kitchen nailed the temperature, this was top-notch. It's a standout dish when executed correctly. The Misses: Consistency: On the first visit, seasoning felt sparse across the board and the empanadas cried out for more sauce options. This time, the pendulum swung the other way with a slightly overcooked and oversalted scallop. Technical Execution: We had to send the burger back; it arrived medium-well despite a medium-rare request. The "Fries": The menu lists truffle fries, but what arrived were essentially homemade chips. While tasty, they don't quite hit the mark if you're expecting a true fry texture. The restaurant is clean, the vibe is right, and the menu is creative enough to keep me coming back. They are so close to being a premier Summerlin destination. Once they tighten up the kitchen consistency and fine-tune those minor execution errors, they'll more than likely hit that 5-star mark.

Made a mistake of ordering the bread to dip in the mussels sauce, because the sauce wasn't even good... It just didn't do it for me. As for the paella, there was lots of seafood, but it was all very bland. I really enjoyed everything else. The prawns and the branzino were spectacular (the tomatoes underneath were too sweet for me though). Sucking out the inside of the prawn head is really tasty-- don't skip it! The oxtail and cauliflower were excellent in taste as well. Other great items included the papatas bravas & brussel sprouts; both of which were very crispy. -tapas were really large for tapas; wish the waitress warned us when I was ordering so much

Being a Vegas local who loves eating on the strip, I have never experienced a better, finely tuned service experience. The food itself is wondrous. I will never get over how vibrant and well-balanced every dish is. It's absolutely masterful. The seafood is fresh and every small bite is immaculate. We ordered the majority of small bites, oysters, and the Bluefin Tuna with Fried Egg was one of the most unique and decadent bites. He was attentive throughout the meal. The presentation of the tiny corn cob elote was great and very tasty. The chicken with balsamic glaze, greens, onions and another sauce was very good as well. I would recommend this restaurant and would visit again. I should note that it is a bit expensive, but then again everywhere we have been in Vegas has been pricey.
