Highlights: Horrible service Overpriced sub-par food We had two free kids meal vouchers and wanted to give this place a try as a family. Overall, unlikely to return due to bad service and sub-par food for the price. The service: Brought my family over to dine in for breakfast. Wife asked server for kids coloring/activity paper mat and our server forgot. Had to grab it from the front ourselves. Server needs to recognize this is a given for kids. I asked for a knife when my meal came. The server didn't return with knife and never came back to check on us. When paid in cash the server didn't give us the remaining cents owed back, only the dollar bills rounded in their favor. To go boxes were provided on request but server wasn't courteous to provide a bag to carry out. The food: chilaquiles omelette: chilaquiles itself tasted good. Was nice and hot but chips could've been crispier. Steak tasted like marinated with A1 sauce...Tasted ok but not really expected... and caramelized onions were not caramelized, still on the raw side. Veggie plate omelette: broccoli was not trimmed and had black ends...not visually appetizing. Kids strawberry cheesecake combo: amount of scrambled egg(s) was sparse. Must be using smaller size eggs? I have never seen such a meager portion of scrambled eggs even for kids. Pancake looked fluffy and big so I'll give them that. Section of the table had syrup residue hardened from what looked like a rushed attempt to wet wipe the table. Miscellaneous: No baby changing table in restroom. Dining area we were placed barely had space for our stroller in the aisle but was awkward because servers had to squeeze by the stroller to reach other tables. Price was $42.38 for two meals cash, we had vouchers for free kids meal. Way overpriced since I can get more value for same price elsewhere. I get that this is american/mexican diner quality food, so I didn't have high expectations but the experience was sorely underwhelming. A lot of basic expectations were broken here and needs to be fixed in the future. Otherwise, unlikely for our family to return. read more

Large menu that looked interesting. The people in my party liked their food. I wish they had gluten free options. The waiter said they had nothing that was gluten free. I had a berry smoothie. My 3 stars are because our coffee, water, and soda were never refilled. Nobody came by to clear off dishes. Four people were given 4 forks, no knives and two napkins. The waiter didn't come by to see how we were doing until we we wanted to leave. Had to ask the hostess to get the waiter so we could ask dir the check. They seemed to be well staffed, but slow service and nobody was bussing the tables, which made the wait longer than needed. The staff was friendly. read more

Came here for breakfast with my boyfriend to try something new. Their menu had a variety of Mexican inspired breakfast favorites along with most of the classic breakfast combos. It was a clean atmosphere and the free concha's prior to ordering were delicious! He ordered the classic breakfast burrito and I got the Chilaquiles. For a restaurant with the name "Loaded cafe" their portions were anything BUT loaded. I wish I would have taken a photo but his $16.99 burrito was smaller than a Del taco Epic burrito and NOT very loaded. My Chilaquiles were $22 came with hash browns but the hash browns took up most of the plate. The portion of chilaquiles was only about 1/3. We only got waters and no extra breakfast sides. However, my boyfriend asked for a side of sour cream which we got charged extra for without our knowledge and I asked if the steak in my chilaquiles could be substituted for beans and got charged and extra 2.99. With that being said paying almost $50 for this meal seemed so far fetched it had us flabbergasted. Knowing that there were other diners that had the same meal for a better price and MUCH better portions had us regretting our decision to try something new. On top of that our server wasn't very friendly or welcoming nor did she explain the extra charges. If you're a fan of breakfast and love those diner type portions I would be cautious spending your money here. If you don't care much about price or portion and want a fusion breakfast then you might enjoy what they have to offer. read more

I have attempted to order in uber eats on 4 different times. Each time, after 20-30 mins, order gets canceled. Not sure if employees are not processing on purpose or if they just stopped doing uber eats altogether. The food came out fast and was delicious. The crepe had just right amounts of sweetness and the almonds were a nice change. The burrito had really good hash browns (perfect crisp) in it and the salsa was very flavorful! Service was very good and quick also. Will be coming back for sure! read more

I got the red chilaquiles they came with beans and 2 eggs ($1 extra for any plates that have eggs) the chips for the chilaquiles were stale and the beans were burnt! My husband got the loaded steak and eggs and the steak was drenched in soy sauce, only had 2 mushrooms. The food overall is really terrible. If zero stars were a possibility, that's what I would give. I found out about this place through social media and I sent it to our friends and we all met up on a Saturday afternoon. The host quoted our party of 8 30 min and we left our number. After the quoted 30 minutes and no text, we checked to see how much longer and the host told us another 15 minutes.... After 20 minutes we checked again and the host tells us that they don't have our name on the list!! After an awkward few minutes of trying to figure out what to do with the situation, they got us a big booth in the back. Our server greeted us quickly and took our whole order. We ordered a mixture of coffees and shakes and waters for the table. The waters never came and all of our drinks came at different times. And there were no conchas! *side note- they charged us an extra $1 per plate due to the egg situation Our food came out, still no conchas....7 out of 8 plates came out and then they told us that the last plate was sold out and if we could order something else. My husbands biscuits and gravy were cold and dry and looked like it had been under the warmer for a while. He asked for extra gravy to try and salvage it but we never received it. Also, our server tried dropping off wrong plates at our table multiple times... like didn't you take our order?! We saw a different server walking around with plates of conchas so we asked for some and she was surprised we never received any. Everyone else ate and were almost done and our friend still didn't have her food, so we cancelled that. We originally wanted pastries from the bakery but we were already so frustrated with the whole experience. This place is A little Small but has a great kick to it! So it makes up for it! I love going to places for their sweet breakfasts, usually anything that has Nutella or chocolate. I took a look at their menu and their lunch menu looked great as well. Although I came here to try the concha Nutella French toast I ended up getting their omelet chilaquiles plate with carne asada! Check out the plate. Looks pretty, tasted a lot better. So I'd like to say I am a chicken when it comes to spicy food. I skipped the part that they were red chilaquiles which normally are spicier than the green, well I had to suck it up and eat them anyway. They were pretty hot but nothing I couldn't handle. I was still a decent magician and made them disappear! So we were here to celebrate my friend's birthday. She ordered the crepes and those were delicious. My son ordered the appetizer plate and he loved it! Now for the surprise birthday treat the ladies there surrounded our table and sang happy birthday to my friend and brought their Famous concha Nutella French toast! Although I had passed on them for lunch I still got to taste them as we shared the birthday dessert and guess what, they didn't disappoint one bit! Yeah, this is how I feel right now after my first time @Loaded Cafe. My dtrs and I pulled up to the parking lot and questioned ourselves "does this place look like it's going to be good?" From the outside looks very boring and below average, but who knew it holds a treasure inside. As soon as you walk in the experience begins. Cute little cakes displayed, sure to get your mouth watering. As soon as you're seated your server greets you with conchas (sweet bread). We tried 5 different plates on their menu and none disappointed!!!!! Their Pambazo is finger liking good. It's spicy but not too spicy, just enough to awaken your taste buds. And to top it all off.. first timers get to take home one of those cute little cakes at the front. DO NOT LEAVE without trying their Hibiscus Strawberry Agua Fresca. First time here since it's convenient and local. Tried the Honey Lemon Crepes, side of hash browns and Machaca Breakfast Burrito. Our favorite was the crepes, they were crispy and soft in the center. Hash browns were solid. The burrito was fine, nothing to praise or complain about, but I think there's better items on the menu. Services was fast and friendly. Staff is attentive and accommodating. I will commend their service. Super friendly staff and came back to check in on us. Food over all was ok. Maybe partially because of the disclaimer: "prices listed are CASH only prices". The prices seemed pretty reasonable until you read the disclaimer and then we were kind of in a limbo about how much the food costs if we pay with credit card. We ended up ordering the Dulce de Leche crepe with all the toppings on the side and a 2 coffee's. I don't like overly sweet things so ordering the toppings on the side was a great option. We were served a small bowl of leche creme and another with whipped cream. These bowls were filled to the brim. The coffee was nothing too special... standard diner coffee and free refills. The down side is that one cup of coffee was $5. We thought this was a little pricey for what we were drinking, so we tried getting as many refills as possible. read more

Loaded Cafe just opened here in Placentia! It took over the former IHOP, located at Chapman and Kraemer. The menu is extensive and parking is available in a large lot. I selected the Nopales and Eggs, with flour tortillas and a side of sour cream. The items were hot, delicious, and plentiful. I wish them the best of luck here in the city I call home.
