Buffalo Chicken Flatbread - grilled
WingQueen H.

We love Llywelyn's Pub! The food is always good and I find myself craving the grilled buffalo chicken flatbread often. Service is always attentive and friendly. The ambiance can vary from super busy on the weekend or St. Paddy's Day to more chill during the week - but it's always a good time. We especially love when the patio is open. It's rare in KC to have a bar with three separate bar areas (when the patio is open) so it's a fun change. This is one of our go-to spots and will continue to be!

Llewelyn isn't a girl I'd marry or commit to, but I'd take her on a few dates for sure. And I have, I've tried out this traditional Irish pub located in downtown Lee's Summit a few times. However, it's interesting to note it's never somewhere I sought out on purpose, I just always sort of end up there. Honestly, it's not my cuisine of choice, and I don't like Guinness much, but they have a good alternative selection of local craft beers- including a special exclusive brew from KC Bier Company (my memory could be off but I do know it was something that was local to kcmo and brewed solely for Llewelyn's. The drinks are where this pub tends to shine, and there's nothing wrong with that. The traditional appetizers aren't anything I'd order again except for the housemade chips, which are very thinly sliced and salty, but they're also a side you can add to the sandwiches. If you order them, make sure you order the side of cheese to dip and a side of horsersdish, if that fancies you. But, you can skip them. The fried pickles and the pub pretzels are quintessential bar appetizers that are executed okay, and if it's what you're craving, go ahead and order them, but don't expect to be impressed. Now, the sandwiches are pretty solid here. That is if you're not afraid to get a little bit messy because a lot of them, especially their take on an Irish Dip, are bound to fall apart and get your hands a little greasy. My tip is to make a trip during happy hour because my favorite thing on the menu is only available then. And that is the mini corned beef sliders served with a tangy (but not too spicy) giardiniera- if you ask nicely. These are nice little snack or light meal although, they could use some more melted cheese or horseradish because they're still a tad dry. Let's face it, Llewelyn could use a bit of a modern makeover, but, I guess what Irish pub do you know that isn't stuck in the past...and beyond dark inside? She fits the stereotype completely, but does that make her a good fit for you? That's what you have to ask yourself before you take Llewelyn out for a date yourself.

Stopped in as one of our PubPass stops. It was 4 pm so we had table choice , great service, and delicious food. Would do again.

Custom ordered Cod Fish Sandwich

I will preface by saying that I had asked for a custom order, as the fish sandwich was not on the menu. I asked if instead of fish and chips, I could have a fish sandwich. The cook delivered 1,000% Llywelyn's Pub in Lee's Summit, Missouri, truly shines with its delectable cod fish sandwich. From the moment I took my first bite, I was transported to culinary bliss. The cod, perfectly flaky and tender, was enveloped in a light, crispy batter that added just the right amount of crunch. Every component of the sandwich, from the fresh lettuce to the tangy tartar sauce, harmonized beautifully to create a symphony of flavors. Paired with a side of golden fries, this dish is a true testament to Llywelyn's commitment to quality and excellence in pub fare. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or just looking for a satisfying meal, the cod fish sandwich at Llywelyn's Pub is sure to leave you craving more. The restaurant was alive for St. Patty's day with good music and excellent service! P.S. shepherd's pie was amazing.

Vegan options include a modified salad or the impossible patty. The pub burger is recommended as a local favorite!

Sat down on the patio, waited 15 mins and was never served. Waitresses just looked at us but never stopped.

Barbecue and a brewery?…read more Yes please. I've only visited for brunch, so that's what I'll write about. The menu has a few familiar faces - Eggs Benedicts, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, chicken and waffles and more. I liked the biscuits and gravy, but I absolutely loved the Burnt Ends Eggs Benedict. The beers are solid and feature something for everybody. I wish they offered an extra seasonal, but I understand a brewing schedule that features quick moving draughts. A small note - please watch your check. Some of the prices in the computer don't match with the menu. The staff - who were awesome - were also apologetic and moved to make corrections when notified.

She was very responsive to our questions and had great communication throughout and was flexible when our numbers changed a bit. She was helpful with suggestions and setting up and cleaning up. You must request her!

To restaurant gave a bar feel, had a stage for entertainment and a small lounge area with tvs around for watching the games. My friend ordered the honey salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Her first reaction when it arrived was that maybe she should have ordered something else but after digging in was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the sauce and how it complimented the salmon and veggies. I ordered the fish and chips. Of my meal I enjoyed the fries, not so much the fish. As I was eating it, I tried to think of how best to describe the taste in this review but wondering if it were bland with the expectation that you'd want vinegar. I just can't put my finger on it. I will say it was plentiful as I only finished one of the two pieces of fish that came with the meal. I myself, will definitely try something different if we were to go back. I gave this review a 3 partly because of my meal but also the overall experience. When I walked in, other patrons looked at me as if I'd walked into the wrong place which made for an odd feeling. But once my other guests arrived we decided to stay because we wanted to try the food. Crazy how a glance or two can make you rethink your lunch plans.
