One word-amazing!!! I was a little skeptical at the beginning cos the decor looks too nice and trendy, and it's a gastropub-not sure if I'm gonna get some good Spanish tapas. Guess what? I'm wrong. The tapas might not be the most traditional, for the most part it's a little fusion-but they are absolutely delicious and you feel like you are eating local fresh ingredients every bite. The ham and cheese is 100% authentic-fine dining iberico ham and artisan cheese are so good-I feel like I can't go back to eat at another restaurant for some mediocre tapas l after this meal. No kidding. The meal I had here was one of the best I've had (I won't speak for my husband). We showed up early (by Spanish standards) and they seated us, but said they had a reservation for our table in 2 hours. Then they did not rush us at all. Delicious wine and really delicious tapas. Let's see... we had squid gratin, crunchy tomato toast, the special pork shoulder, one or two others, but the best was the salmon carpaccio. We celebrated our anniversary here while traveling in Barcelona and would say this was our favorite meal of the entire trip (Portugal and Spain). The service was outstanding. The wine our server suggested, Pardas Sumoll, was so delicious that I ordered some bottles be shipped to our home (I hope they arrive tomorrow!!!). I would order everything we had again...We had the tuna, tomato bread, jabon, and pork confit. Every bite was wonderful. I would highly suggest dining here while in the area. read more

Great new restaurant in Barcelona. The vibe's relaxed and cool (but not over the top), there's a fair few wines by the glass, the tapas are creatively put together and delicious (a squid and wild mushroom concoction particularly stood out). Oh, and there's a cheese plate to die for. If I had to pick fault with one thing, I'd say that one of the (very friendly) waiters had to be prompted a couple of times about bringing some bread. But it's early days, so these things should definitely be ironed out. Otherwise, loved it. read more

We dined early to ensure we got in, and this proved to be a good decision. The night before at 10 pm the place was jammed, so 730 while early was so worth it. The decor is casual and comfortable. The food is outstanding. We started with the fois gras, the croquettes, the aubergne, and the cod fritters. Each dish was special in its own way and I wonder how they make something so simple taste so good (aubergne - how do they do that??). I highly recommend. Not to be missed! read more

Stumbled across this restaurant and ate dinner here for our first night in Barcelona. The food was good for the most part although there were a few misses (the cheese board was very blue cheese heavy with no warning). However the service was very inattentive and sloppy throughout our meal (e.g. the waiter would say he was about to come back and take an order or offered to swap out our plates for clean plates, and then would forget and not come back until flagged). We ended up having many other better meals during our trip so would not return here. read more

This place is quite good! The best tomato bread I have had in Barcelona so far! All of the tapas we ordered had really nice presentation and good flavours. Wasn't a huge fan of the Catalan cheese board but maybe I just don't love Catalan cheese. Service was nice and friendly. We stopped here on spec for a beer and a bit of tapas and it was so good we came back a few days later for dinner. It was terrific - the tapas selection of meat was divine (1/2 portion is enough for 2 sharing) accompanied by delicious tomato bread. Our waiter was helpful and advised us to reserve the cheese plate to after our entrees and also suggested wines for each course. The cod with liquorice and the baby cuttlefish with black rice were amazing and the wines a perfect match. Everything looks and tastes good here. Entrees are modest, and pica- pica plates on the generous side. Great quality food at reasonable prices (for a high-end eaterie). We shared 1/2 plates of meat and cheese, 2 entrees and 2 desserts with a cava, white and red wine each for c. €80. read more

Bit unfriendly, or more uninterested staff but very nice food and good wine. Thought it was a bit unclear what they where trying to explain with regards to the portions and rounds but I think that the average table of two orders 4 - 5 dishes. For starters you can get half portions too. If you pick the tuna or salmon (carpaccio) I would go for a big portion though, we really enjoyed those. This place is a bit more expensive then average and it seems to be quite popular. Make reservations and count 40 - 75 euro a person. read more

Stopped in on a rainy day after a recommendation by our Barcelona guide. The "foreigner" menus were in English and French. We loved the tuna, salmon carpaccio, cod fish fritters, veal cheeks, and mushrooms with squid. Even my difficult-to-please father who never tries new things enjoyed the light meal. Our particular server didn't seem so happy (bad day?) but he was quick and apologized when the veal took a long time. Just ate at Llamber as a last second dinner after visiting the Picasso Museum. This is definitely one of the best tapas places that I have visited in Barcelona. The wait staff was very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in even though they were very busy. Now on to the important stuff. We started with Sangria de Cava which was very good. I appreciated that it actually tasted like wine. Not wimp sangria, awesome. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with ginger ice cream. I know. Ginger ice cream with salmon. But it was actually super tasty and went really well together. This was the highlight of the meal. We also had the green salad, parmesan fondue with king prawns and asparagus, tuna tataki, and pork shoulder confit. The tuna tataki and pork shoulder confit actually almost rivaled the salmon, but the tuna tataki's sauce was just a touch too smokey and the "cashew tofu" that came with the pork shoulder was pretty pointless and had a strange texture. Straight up no idea why that cashew tofu was there. Overall, Llamber was definitely one of the culinary highlights of my trip to Barcelona and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a slightly nicer and tastier meal than your standard tapas joint. read more

This was one of our favorite meals for our trip. It's upscale and different tapas then you see normally. We made a reservation so when we arrived we didn't need to wait, which was good since almost all tables were occupied on a Monday night. We had 4 people so we chose a few tapas and a few main dishes and we were satisfied and full at the end of the meal. We really enjoyed their black rice, anchovies, cuddle fish and veal. Best salad ever. Worth every euro. It had mini root vegetables with their stems and leaves. Surprises of zucchini blossom, mint and dill. Plus a sweet but subtle honey mustard dressing. Best quality/price relation ive found in Barcelona. We were a group of 8 and called for a reservation on a Wednesday to attend on a Friday, after som.e insistance we got the table, our reservation was very late at 1030 pm, the table was not ready so we waited at the bar with a couple of beers, we had high expectations of this place so we were pacient and we were not dissapointed, there are two types of plates in this place, tapas and main dishes, i recommend a selection of both and to share the plates. We started with the shrimp and sparragus fondue wich was very tasty, went on with the octopus(our favorite plate) and finished with the entrecot, for the final one best meat ive ever had in Barcelona and the fried yuca was quite interesting. To drink a tempranillo from Castilla and an Albarino, perfect!! Zip that wine gently and take your time to enjoy the high cuisine, price shoul not be an issue in this place, enjoy. read more

I have to eat as much "tapas" in Barca as I can when I'm there. That means I try to eat pinxo at bars whenever I can, more "tapasy" places like Cal Pep (or whatever u like) when I can, and more modern takes on the tapas concept like are found here. This place was great. Often reviews mention the friendly waitstaff and we found that to be 100% true: follow their guidance and they will steer you to some great dishes. I am particularly happy with this place for one major reason: it's open on SUNDAY when 9 of 10 Barca restaurants are closed. So if life finds you here and hungry on Sunday (or any other day) you will be pleased to be here. read more
