After nearly 21 mostly joyful years in Diamond Bar, my bride and I have decided to begin prepping the only home our (now mostly grown!) kids have ever known for its eventual sale. Waaaay back in 2004 we had used Lumber Liquidators to procure the rustic cabin-like laminate flooring we used for our 17 X 14 home office, so we were already familiar with LL's ability to compete on pricing. This time, we compared LL to Lowe's, Home Depot, HD Supply (formerly Contractors Warehouse), Empire Today and the flashy newcomer to the SoCal decor scene, Floor & Decor. We ultimately chose LL because their vinyl plank flooring came pre-fitted with the padding that other retailers wanted to charge up to $900 extra for. We bought enough product to refloor the bulk of our 2,000 square foot home at a cost savings of nearly $600 compared to our next lowest competitor. Also, ask for Mr. Grover, the Asst. Manager. I had called in to place my order over the phone and he was exceedingly patient & kind as he repeatedly restated his answers to my questions because of my hearing loss & a spotty cell connection. We were not disappointed. Our salesman, Aaron, was very helpful and helped us with looking at different pieces and spent an hour or more with us while we mulled over different options of flooring and underlay. Although I didn't like the first flooring that I ordered, Aaron at the Rancho Cucamonga store made returning it and ordering new product pretty simple. He went out of his way to set everything up for me, which was appreciated especially when I actually walked into the store with a chip on my shoulder! He redeemed the store by being extremely helpful and accommodating. He even set it up to where I didn't have to personally bring all of the flooring back. We are arranged for a new delivery of the new flooring and have them pick up the unsatisfactory flooring. That all went slick. Josh, the manager, handled refunding my exchange quickly. The store can be a little bit difficult to get on the phone because They are obviously very busy. That's my only complaint is that they're a little difficult to access on the phone, and sometimes the calls go to a call center in Virginia instead of being able to contact the local store. read more

Buy at your own risk. They say lifetime warranty. Thats a lie. Floor was installed per manufacture which floor is made in Vietnam. Lumber liquidators don't honor the warranty. They had me send 6 planks to supposably a testing lab and there results was that the floor is good and they dismissed my claim .meanwhile I have a floor that is 6 months old and is coming apart. The product that I purchased is CORELUXE Vinyl flooring. Again don't make the same mistake I made, Go to Home Depot or Lowes there they do honor their warranties and have a great return policy. We had our flooring installed in Oct 2022. The install company provided by LL flooring told us half the way through the installation we were told that we needed 4 transition strips installed in room thresholds in our hallway. We called the store and were told if the installers told us we needed them, then we needed them. I said if I had been told in advance I wouldn't have agreed to the install. LL Corp. office later handled our complaint and said they will have all affected three bedrooms and bathrooms and hallway taken up and replaced. It took a while but they had another installation company Empire Flooring do the work. Empire had two skilled installers Alfredo Contreras and Leonardo Vasquez do the work. I wish LL would have used them from the start. In a day and half they did the rooms and also redid some baseboard that wasn't done right. DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT TO BE SCREWED OVER!!! I bought floor and paid for them to install in my 2,000 sq ft home. First issue, they didn't order all the pieces needed. Second issue, the installer couldn't finish the job because he had to start a new job! Therefore he told me I needed someone to come caulk around my stairs to finish and when I paid a contractor $600 to finish their job now ll flooring is telling me they WILL NOT COME REPLACE A CRACKED STAIR RISER 2 months after install!!! Had a wonderful experience here purchasing bamboo flooring from Luke. He was very patient explaining everything to me and my dad. Between the 2 of us, we ask a lot of questions and Luke was very knowledgeable about materials, durability, hardness, different types of joints, and connectivity to the stair nose (and availability). I think that I am pretty thorough when I make purchases, but my dad asks even more questions and I think he has been here at least 5 times. I am really impressed with the way that Luke treated my dad and his courteousness, professionalism, and kindness. I think that this store could do with a bit better customer service. They are all very nice and do a good job of answering questions and concerns. The big issue is that there is no follow through with what they say they are going to do. We did get a GREAT price on our floor and it did come in the time frame they said. They did forget to tell us that we needed a plastic sheeting so I laid a third of my floor before I figured out something isn't right. It's not a huge deal but we did ask them and they did say we did not need it and then later said we did need it. Guess it's who you get. All in all not a bad place but I'm sure there are better out there. So yeah, MEH is the best one word to describe them. read more

We purchase around 500 sq ft of EVP flooring for a pantry, kitchen and dining room almost a year ago. A back injury delayed the kitchen remodel. After getting the cabinets up and starting to lay out the flooring I realized that I made a rookie mistake. The cabinets and floor were almost exactly the same color. WAY too much same same... Lumber Liquidators has a 90 day return policy so we were afraid we'd be stuck. I spoke to Josh and he allowed the return as long as it was for exchange. He didn't even require that it would have to be from in store stock, he would let us order. Way cool. We were fortunate enough to find a nice replacement in stock, so we were on our way with no headaches or hassles. WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Like before I had high hopes after being contacted after the reply to my review. I called and left multiple messages this week and no one has returned my call. They have my email address and phone number but no one reaches out, case # 7139021. To top it off the fix they are suggesting required 12 transition strips (this is in less than 1500sf of flooring). I will let you imagine what my floor will look like and what kind of tripping hazard that is for 94 year old lady as well as my children. And then they shipped me 2 of the 12... I have been planning to take out the upstairs carpeting and replace it with hardwood for a couple years and finally couldn't stand the carpet any longer. I went to Lumber Liquidators and was shopping all the products when Trevor offered to help me. He was amazing. He gave me advice on which product was best for the upstairs and why, steered me away from some wood that he thought would not suit my overall decorating style, and was infinitely patient with me as I went back and forth trying to decide on what to use on my stairs. I wanted something dramatic but that would also tie together the bamboo on the downstairs with the dark bamboo I chose for the upstairs. (I chose bamboo because it is good for the environment and because it is very hard. I dropped a hammer from the upstairs onto the downstairs floor and it barely dented it. Plus I like the look.) Trevor helped me choose a beautiful acacia engineered wood for the stairs and helped me choose a stair nosing I could stain or paint to save on the cost of the project. I will update this review after the project is done I cannot say enough about how helpful and kind and professional Trevor was and continues to be. I have to admit I am not an easy customer especially on a project this size. Trevor did everything he could to save me money and still get help me get a beautiful result. He reassured me constantly that I could return anything I didn't use within 90 days and never pressured me. I also want to compliment John and the other young man who's name I don't know. They were all flawlessly patient, informative and helpful. I normally don't write reviews because most service Is adequate but not special. Trevor is amazing. And he follows through - today the wood and everything else was delivered and the delivery was early, the delivery men were friendly and professional and fast. I called Trevor to let him know they were great, and he actually said if I had any problem moving the wood to let him know and he would help me himself. (I would never ask that but honestly that's amazing!) I feel really relieved that I chose Lumber Liquidators and Trevor's Rancho Cucamonga store. We just walked in to look at floors and the man working there had his mask very loose and under his nose and sniffling the whole time. We left and now hoping we don't get sick. Worst Customer Service I have ever had. Josh is extremely rude. Staff are not helpful and do not respond to phone calls. Order was delayed by 10 days (and counting) and contractors sitting on the side waiting for the material to arrive to finish working on my house. Thousands of dollars paid, and lots of frustration, and not a single apology has been offered by ANY one of the people at this store. I have never experienced such lack of morals/customer care in my life. Here is a breakdown of what took place, just so you see how horrible the service is: * 07/10/2020 - Order placed - promised to receive the order within 2 days via Fedex * 07/12/2020 - Fedex tracking number shows "label created" but nothing has been picked up * 07/15/2020 - Went into the store physically to check the status of the order, and was told that "the lady who placed the order for you made a mistake, you should be getting these pieces instead; otherwise they won't fit your stairs" I say fine. They then modify the order, and was again, promised the items would arrive within 2 days via Fedex. * 07/17/2020 - Called the store to check the status of my order, Josh picks up, and I say I am calling to check the status of my order. This is word for word what he said. "Weren't you here 2 days ago and I told you we will ship it to you?" I said yes? But I still want to check the status because the Fedex tracking is showing nothing. Josh said "what tracking number you have?" I said the one you gave me. He said "well here is another one". I then go online, check Fedex, still nothing comes up. I call back, Josh then hands the phone to another lady. The lady said "it is with Fedex you have to call them". I said, how is that my job? Why do I have to call Fedex, while I placed the order through you guys? She said "Sir, I don't think you are listening to me, you need to call Fedex". I then hang up, VERY frustrated, with thousands of dollars' worth of order. I call Fedex even though this is NOT my job to do, and sure enough; Fedex said they never picked it up. So the order is still with the Shipper. * 07/18/2020 - I call the store again, and same lady picked up. I told her I called Fedex and they said they never picked it up. She says "well the other store confirmed that they did pick it up". And I was like, Okay? Why am I stuck in the middle of all of this? She said "I have to call Corporate to see what we can do and I will give you a call back". Ofcourse, I do not receive a call back. This is typical. I call her back same day, saying I expected a call back. She said "well I called but I guess your phone wouldn't even let me leave a voicemail". Lies. I have a business and my phone receives calls and voicemails all day and everything is fine. * 07/20/2020 - I call the store again, the lady said she contacted Corporate to see if they can send me my order from another store. And that she will call me back same day to confirm. Once again, NO CALL BACK! * 07/21/2020 - I call the store 5 times, they didn't pick up. It seems they recognize the phone number and just didn't want to deal with the issue. I kept calling, Josh picked up. As usual, VERY RUDE individual. He knows nothing about customer care, and did not offer a single apology for all this mess. I asked him about my order, he said "it's with Corporate". I was like, okay? When do I expect this to ship? He said "I have no idea, it's with Corporate". I ask for Corporate number. This still has not been resolved, house is a mess, and materials are nowhere to be found. Calling Corporate to Cancel the order and get the items from Home Depot instead. I will update this review once the situation is finalized. Don't be fooled! Notice this is a "new location" and the old location has bad reviews! Even opening a new location doesn't get you any better service or product!! Good experience in store, but their installation is horrible. I thought they had installed the floor, but then after the fact it was made clear that they hire outside contractors for this. I kept calling the phone number they told me to for warranty on install and no one followed up. Then finally when they did get back to me the "time period had passed for warranty". Interesting how they waited to respond a few days after warranty was up. They really need to find better installers for their product. Now I am stuck with a floor that separates all of the time and looks terrible. Doesn't matter how good your flooring is if you can't get any help once you walk out the door. UPDATE - check your flooring! After I had this terrible experience I did some research and there are several class action lawsuits against this company for toxins in their product! - spoke with Joel the manager after he left a comment on my post. Nice guy, but there is nothing he can do. He just says he "has to go through the right channels" and still nothing. I just paid another flooring expert to come and take a look. The installer didn't angle the pieces to install and click as required for installation. They used a mallet to tap the boards together and the broke all of the tongues that hold the planks together. I recommend going through a small business that doesn't have their "hands tied" when it comes to customer service and standing by their product! read more

Like many others during quarantine, we have been working on our home. We just finished painting the entire exterior, changed all landscaping and now want to finish by putting in new flooring on the porch. I have been to 5-6 different stores (the past 2 months) trying to find the right material and look. Josh at Lumber Liquidators was super honest from the moment we walked in. What we thought would look amazing, wasn't the right material for outdoor but we took samples to sleep on it anyway. After visiting other stores, seeing the lack of customer service out there, and coming home to hear messages from Josh (daily)...we have decided to give our business to Josh and LL. I have just put a $25 deposit down to have an installer come measure and are still deciding on product. But I already know we are in much better hands than I would be with the other Big Box retailers that weren't willing to give me the time of day. After reviewing the list of product I received after the installation was done I saw my baseboards should have been the same color as my new hard wood flooring, partly my bad for missing that, but mostly theirs for not reviewing what was sent out before the work began. I also thought I would have received the $500.00 basic install discount rather than the $150.00 that was given. This was not a small project. Went to this location to get my bedroom n bath room (hard wood floor). Ok. Here s how it went. I had to pay $25 for someone to come out n check my measurements because mine may not b accurate enough. No problem, paid $25, was told someone would contact me that same day if not by morning. Well by noon next day, still no call, after calling- they will check n call me back. Well after my third call someone finally called n said they would come between 3-5 at the end of the day. (2 days gone now) did I mentioned that they informed me that we could get everything done within 3 days. I was against a time table. Well, let's continue. Someone finally arrives to do the measurements, did not give me any info but said that the info would b uploaded that night and I can have it the next day so I can place order. Well next morning we go into the store around 11am to get report n order the hardwood n instillation. Was told it would take 48 hours for the report to b ready. Another 2 days. Well at that point u can imagine my frustration and exactly what I thought of them. I just walked out n went somewhere else. Getting my floor installed tomorrow. Oooh and by the way they came n measured and didn't charge me $25 If u plan on using lumber liquidators, and u are on a schedule ---ask a lot of questions especially about time. BEWARE OF ADDED CHARGES!! I made it clear to EVERYONE [store employees; their flooring 'contractor'; as well as the installers themselves] that we were already maxed out of our budget and could not afford anything more than the installation! They had tried to add on a lot of things I didn't need, but I refused and had all that taken off of my 'estimate.' The one thing they would not take off was almost $500 for "custom prep", even though no one had actually seen what my floor looked like at that point. I told the guy I could not afford to have any of that done. He told me that he HAD to leave that on my invoice, but if the installers didn't have to do any prep, they would take that charge off my invoice when everything was finished. The installers had to patch a 12"x28" piece of floor, which took maybe 10 minutes, including drying time. For THAT, Lumber Liquidators wants to charge me almost $500!! I REFUSE to pay it! We are senior citizens on a very limited income, and Lumber Liquidators knew this because I kept telling everyone I talked to! One good thing is that all their calls are on a recorded line, so they can hear me telling them we can't afford anything added on!! I'm still waiting to hear back from them.
