I am writing to share my experience regarding a recent bedroom furniture purchase, as well as the ongoing issue we encountered with the delivery of our nightstands. Over the past several months, we have purchased furniture for three rooms from Pottery Barn and have invested a significant amount of money. Most recently, we purchased a full bedroom set, including an armoire, bureau, two nightstands, and a king-size bed. While the most recent delivery did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, I was informed the night before that one of the nightstands was cracked and would not be delivered. I was told the second nightstand would still arrive. However, when the delivery team arrived, they were only aware of the damaged nightstand not being delivered and had no information regarding the second one and they could not confirm its location. From that point forward, I spent a considerable amount of time going back and forth with both customer service and the store trying to locate the missing nightstand. Each time I called, I was told the situation needed to be "investigated," and representatives had to review extensive notes from prior conversations. Meanwhile, I could see in my online portal that the nightstand order was repeatedly being placed, canceled, and reordered, which only added to the confusion. About two weeks after receiving the rest of the furniture, I was notified that one nightstand was available and ready for delivery. It was delivered, but there was still no clarity on the second one. After additional follow-ups with customer service, again without clear answers, I eventually received another notification that the second nightstand was ready. It was delivered the following week, and at that point, we finally had the complete set. However, the confusion continued when I was contacted yet again to schedule delivery for another nightstand, despite already having received both. I ultimately had to call customer service once more and spent nearly 30 minutes resolving an issue that should have already been closed. While we are very happy with the furniture itself, including the other two rooms we furnished through Pottery Barn, the overall experience was frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming. Additionally, I was told by a representative named Lynn that I would receive some form of reimbursement for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this was never documented, and no compensation was provided. Given the amount of time, effort, and confusion involved in resolving what should have been a straightforward delivery, I am disappointed with how this situation was handled. Irma from home design helped me... she took the dimensions I gave her of my area.... and then she plugged those in to her computer... we picked the furniture I liked and she set up the room on the screen....we could see what would fit & what wouldn't ... I got lucky half of what I wanted was in stock and on sale.. it's ready for delivery.... The other pieces must be made to order....Those items won't be ready until end of August first of September.... I got a sofa sleeper... a loveseat ... 2 medium swivel chairs and one arm chair.... Still need area rugs... and maybe a new TV console.... It's been 12 yrs since I've ordered so much furniture at once... excited to see the finished room.... I was just informed today that my Pottery Barn and William Sonoma credit card was compromised at this location. Purchases were completed 5/16/25 $3909, 5/18/25 $909 and the charge of $4509 was finally declined when I received the text msg this afternoon. Staff failed to ask for ID to the fraudulent mobster who has my credit card information. Not sure how, as I live in San Diego, CA and I have no reason to be in Rancho Cucamonga. This sounds like a inside job, I'm just saying. I'm glad they will be doing a investigation on this and hopefully catch the people involved. To the management at this location ID should have been requested as I don't live in that area and these charges were large. I want to start by saying that I love Pottery Barn and usually enjoy shopping in-store. Unfortunately, my experiences with Crystal have consistently been disappointing. She is often rude, unhelpful, and speaks in a condescending manner when asked simple questions. She appears to be in a management role, yet comes across as entitled rather than welcoming or supportive. I initially thought this was just my personal experience, but my mother felt the same way when we shopped together just before Christmas. Her attitude truly takes away from what should be a pleasant shopping experience. Everyone else in the store has always been friendly and kind, which makes this stand out even more. I prefer shopping in person since online shipping costs are high, especially considering the price point of the merchandise. I walked in to this particular Pottery Barn located in Rancho Cucamonga at Victoria Gardens and did not receive the best customer service. A salesperson by the name of REBECCA asked first time if she would help us. We responded we were enjoying the chair that we were looking into possibly buying. We were enjoying it to see if it would work for us. 2nd time she comes and asks if she could help us because we cannot be "Lounging" on the chairs that we were sitting on to see if they would work for us. It had not been 10 minutes. So we were really not lounging with a drink, we wanted to buy a reading chair or recliner, but after her rudeness we feel Pottery Barn is not a place to buy or much less visit again. I strongly believe REBECCA should have a bit more customer service training because she was very rude. I don't ever want to go back to this store who mistreats people like REBECCA has. read more

Our Jake sectional was delivered Oct 2022. By Nov. 2022 I had to contact customer service because the fabric on a couple cushions was rippling. They replaced 2 seat cushions- inserts and covers. In April 2023 I contacted them again regarding the quality and submitted photos. At that point they (PB and sofa manufacturers) agreed to a one-time courtesy of replacing all cushion inserts, even the back cushions. I changed out the cushions in June. On Nov. 1 I contacted them again that the couch is in terrible condition for only being 1 year old. I own another PB couch and 2 chairs and ottomans. They have held up beautifully! At this point I want them to come get the couch and give me a refund. This has been nothing but trouble! I was told there is nothing they will do. I went into the Victoria Garden store on Sunday 8/11/24, and was very surprised that they didn't have the store closed on that day. The store smelled awful and they had fans blowing All over the store. They didn't even post an apology sign. Plus the store was a mess, with boxes and packaging materials spewed all over. I can only express good things about my shopping experiences over the years, especially since I started upgrading my lighting and furniture in 2015. I seldom order online because I like phoning in my orders to this store. First, they benefit from the sale, but so have I by getting friendly personalized service. For example, on more than one occasion I got a little more off the total from unadvertised specials over and above any 15-20% off coupons. OK, their stuff is expensive but solidly built, so use those coupons. Secondly, they can have some items delivered to the store for pickup. In a few instances they couldn't, such as that amazing Pittsburgh crank up work desk, but generally speaking the phone service is outstanding. The store: I have been in quite a few stores in different places and this location is blessed with a nice range of display and stock items, and physically it is much larger than most. I feel it is well managed and curated, which makes it enjoyable to walk around, even if most items are too girly for me. All-in-all, I'd recommend ordering through them even if UPS delivers it later. read more

Do Not Ever Buy at Pottery Barn. My wife and I went in to purchase furniture to remodel our family and dining room. The salesperson was very nice and helpful. But, after purchasing the furniture and paying with a credit card, they kept charging our credit card 8 more times. They charged us a total of $38,699.66 for our $11,000 purchase. It exceeded our cards $25,000 limit and started bouncing their additional charges. It also affected our preset charges on our card. We called and they gave us a bunch of absolutely stupid reasons why they had to keep charging for each item as it was trying to go into fulfillment. It makes no sense, the their manager was rude to us implying that we just don't understand. Trying to make customers feel stupid is not a great way to conduct business. Then we called their corporate HQ, only to get the same treatment. We never agreed to 8 charges on our credit card, and never for the amount they charged. They kept saying let me explain to you why we don't understand. We understand that their way of handling this is not acceptable. So we asked to cancel the 3 day old order. They finally agreed to cancel the order but are still charging us for 2 of the chairs because they are custom ordered. The credit card was just finally charged yesterday and they say we can not cancel the two chairs. We do not want those two chairs. Do not use Pottery Barn ever. This is a rip off. Kurt read more

DON'T EVER ORDER FROM POTTERY BARN WEBSITE! We ordered a bed online last November with a delivery window of Feb 15 to Mar 3. When that delivery window came and went a new delivery window was automatically presented and also came and went. PB customer service claimed to be unable to cancel the order at that time because the slats had not arrived at the warehouse. That should not be the customer's problem. Called 3 additional times over the coming months requesting the order to be cancelled. The agents claimed to have cancelled the order but it was never cancelled. On 7/11 we finally received an email stating that the order had been cancelled by PB and that we would not be charged. Ten minutes later we received an email stating that we had been charged in full for the cancelled order. 3 calls to customer service since then assured us that the refund had been issued and would show up on our credit card account within 3-5 days. Today when I called I was put on hold and eventually disconnected. When I called back the agent continually talked over me and refused to put a supervisor on the phone. She actually told me to dispute the charge with the bank. This company is poorly run, disorganized, and the customer apparently comes last. read more

If I could give this store a 0 I would. I purchased a small Christmas lighted twig tree and it came damaged. One of the branches has a broken wire and doesn't light up. I had Covid in late December and missed the return date by a few days. Both the store and the customer service call center told me there is nothing they can do - they can't resend me a new tree or give store credit either. In this day and age it's unbelievable that stores like this stay in business. Needless to say that I will never buy anything from this store again - and I spent $600 on decorations at this store (the one in Rancho Cucamonga) this past Christmas. Based on this experience, I researched this company some more and noticed a few things - low reviews on their management, they don't allow reviews on their website (like all reputable companies do), and most significantly, they don't offer any warranty on their products. Again, unbelievable this company is still in business. So if you order anything beware, you'll just have 30 days to return it, regardless of your circumstance. Hope whatever you buy doesn't fail past the 30 days after you purchase/receive it, they will not help regardless. Their customer service people in the Florida Williams Sonoma call center are terrible. This is not a company worth doing business with. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but obviously these people don't care about customer service, so I am sure nothing will come of that. read more

So I've gone to a few pottery barns today was my first day here at Victoria Gardens. The sales person that assisted me was awesome, went beyond to assist me with everything that I needed. Thank you so much IRMA!!! There was one lady that was in there and I really did not appreciate the way she would talk to sales people. She was very rude and bossy and over exaggerating. She calls out for assistance and there's no one in line, but says we have a line I do not understand ! Then another lady comes out the same way and the way I took it was they were both managers. Why Managers talk to their employees the way they do I do not?? employees are in there doing their job try to help shoppers out and they're just walking around doing nothing giving orders. I just was not very happy and what I saw at this store today with the managers IRMA and Crystal, come to find out from a gentleman as I was leaving the store. IRMA's service was a five star but because of those two managers rude no smile I will give it a one!! You are no better than anyone else so treat people as you want to be treated. Workers there are in working hard trying to do their job, you help them out!!!!! Over approximately 15 years I have frequently picked up an item or two from Pottery Barn while in the Pasadena, Brea, and Costa Mesa.
