I had gotten a bid from a landscape company that was $50 more a fixture than Jarrod's, and the other bids I got from two other electricians were comparable to GLE's. I went with Jarrod due to his good reviews and the fact that he was punctual and responsive to calls/e-mails. He was the first to respond and first to come out for a bid. The day of install his electrician Dan had gotten there before Jarrod and arrived exactly when he said he would. Jarrod was picking up the materials. By the time Jarrod arrived Dan had already reattached my fusebox, (which they did for free), and had taken down the old fixture. Dan did a good job and finished that afternoon and showed me how everything worked. He cleaned up everything as well. After he left and the lights came on, one of the lights was not working, even though Dan had tested them all. I e-mailed Jarrod that evening but didn't hear back. I called Jarrod the next day, (today, a Friday), and he said Dan had called in sick, that he was already going to have him come by, but now he couldn't today. He apologized for not returning the e-mail, that he didn't read it until late Thursday night. Jarrod said he was way down South still and asked if he could come back on Tuesday after Memorial Day to fix it. I told him, (nicely), that we had paid for the work and would like to have it wrapped up, could someone come by some time today. Jarrod dropped what he was doing, came to Round Rock, fixed it, then headed back to the other job after he e-mailed me it was done. If I have any more electrical work done I will be calling Green Light Electric, I added him to my phone contacts.

We used Green Light to have 2 ceiling fans replaced on an 18 foot ceiling. The first visit got most…read moreof the work done, but we didn't have the right adapters for the angle of the ceiling - our fault. We had to reschedule a follow up visit because Jarrod's truck broke down, but eventually got them back out. Unfortunately, they decided to install the fan remote control receivers (at the canopy 18 feet high) and not to change the ancient wall dimmer switch that controlled them. That switch wasn't safe to use, and destroyed the remote control receivers the first time the switch was turned off. I replaced the switch (for a whole $1), but the damage was done. A week after I e-mailed Jarrod about this, I texted him -- he replied that he would answer me, but never did. I gave up after another week, and bought new remotes, rented a truck and tall ladder, and replaced the remotes myself. A grand total of $180 extra and a Saturday spent to fix a mistake that shouldn't happen with a professional electrician.

I liked that he was pretty transparent from the get go on all the variables that could affect the price of the job, i.e. height of the ceiling, weight of the light fixture, and more. Not only was he available the next day and super speedy in his response, Doug did a fantastic and thorough job installing my new chandelier. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to ensure it's perfect. He even measured the newly installed light several times to be sure it was even from every angle. I think it's probably a good quality to be a perfectionist when it comes to installing electrical devices, don't you? He even discarded the box the new chandelier came in and happily moved the old one to my garage. The whole process only took an hour and he was so courteous and professional, too. It was Saturday morning on Memorial Holiday weekend and I went to Yelp. Several places were "closed" and I happened upon Windy Hill; they were open. I called...and Doug answered! I explained my situation and I heard a sigh, followed by, "Unfortunately I'm booked up for today and through next Tuesday." I asked if he knew anyone else. He said not off the top of his head since it was the holiday weekend. He then asked what my problem was. I explained and, after a pause, he asked where I lived. I said Cedar Park. Another pause. He said give him a couple of hours and he'll try to come round later. Doug called back two hours later, saying he was done with his appointments, and asked if I still needed help. I did. I'm a landlord, only visiting for the weekend, and couldn't leave the house like this - the tenants couldn't get in or out. Doug said he'd be there in 20 mins. He was. He quickly diagnosed the problem (amateur-hour on my part!!) and fixed it within an hour. He could have gouged me on the pricing, due to my circumstances, but I felt his price was reasonable. I was/am very grateful to Doug - he put himself out to help a fellow person in distress, and this is the kind of service I love to see. Several neighbors recommended Mike Gingokaski at Superior Electrical…read more We had 2 jobs that needed his services...to add an outlet in the bathroom near the toilet for a bidet and to fix an outlet that kept tripping the breaker. Mike came out to give us an estimate. We were happy with his quote and went ahead with the work. On the day of, he was prompt and found out right away why our outlet was tripping. He repaired that and then installed new outlet in our bathroom. All in all, he did a great job...very knowledgeable and is a master electrician. Totally recommend him.
