When I sent out quote requests through Yelp, Cox Electricians was one of only two companies (out of 17!) that actually responded with a clear quote from the beginning. I reached out to Cox to have a NEMA plug installed for my EV and to add a series of accessories to support a generator. From the get go, Cox was incredibly responsive. They worked with me to figure out a price based on the existing hardware I had already purchased, which was meaningful because it was a quote for me, not something generic. I needed same day service and called several companies who told me to be able to come out same day, I would have to pay an extra emergency fee. I called Cox and was told they could come same day and there would be no extra fee- just their standard fee which was very affordable and fair. They told me the techs would be by between 12-4pm. The storms broke my poorly installed riser that brings power to my whole hose. Of course this happens on a Saturday, I Called a couple of companies and everyone said Monday or middle of next week. Cox spoke with me explained to me how I needed to contact the provider so they would disconnect power to my house and then call him back. Well the provider gave me a maybe we will maybe we won't it might be next week before we can disconnect. This is pretty serious we are talking about the high voltage wires to my whole house loose. Anyway they came out and disconnected late in the afternoon of course and the owner of Cox came out and got us repaired and even stayed late. I am so incredibly grateful for Cox Electric. During the huge Texas ice storm this week, we were without power for several days. When the power came back on, our electric service panel started sparking and smoking. We called the fire dept. who came to our rescue but power had to be cut by the electric company until we could get our service panel and all of the wiring rebuilt. We called several electricians who said it would be a week or more until they could come out.
