I have been a patient here for over 10 Years. Over the past couple of years I have been so disappointed in how long I am left waiting for an appointment. Sometimes upwards of 45 minutes. For those of us who take time off work or try to make our appointments during lunch, can understand how frustrating it can be to schedule an appointment just to be left waiting. Our time is equally important and my last 3-4 appointments over the last two years have been like this. Although the doctors here are okay, there are some serious issues with staying on schedule or properly scheduling their patients. Even at this very moment I have been waiting for 50 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. I ended up walking out and While I waited I found a new optometrist, Pleasanton Optometry and I look forward to finally having an optometrist office that values the meaning of time and being punctual. I did not have an appointment. I went here yesterday because the frame on my glasses snapped. Now I truly had a 'pair' of glasses. It was a spur of the moment decision to try to see if I could get a replacement pair without needing an exam. This must be a very popular Optometry group as the place was packed to the rafters at 3:30pm. I explained my situation, hoping for the best, but was told that it had been four years since my last exam and the doctor insisted I get them checked. They did tell me they could try to fit me in same day but I had another appointment to get to. No problem, they did a couple of tests, the doctor examined my eyes, I selected my frames, and still made it to my other appointment on time. At no point did I feel as though I was causing anyone any inconvenience. What can I say? They went out of their way to accommodate me and my schedule. Even though they were extremely busy. From the young girl who helped me originally and convinced a doctor to see me quickly, Dr. Yim, and all the other staff, the service and friendliness couldn't be beat! Walked in to get a checkup on my eyes to see if anything everything was okay, I got help from Taylor at first and she did an amazing job at guiding me through everything and telling me what instrument did what she was very polite and was able to get my images quickly and effortlessly, also the doctors there are very friendly and obviously really knowledgeable in their field and give great advice on keeping your eyes healthy got my new prescriptions in less than an hour! read more

They found a problem with my vision and referred me to a specialist. This place is great for glasses. You can get a great pair at a good price with excellent customer service. They filled my script in a week more than once. I brought in my old classes and they cut my new script/lenses to the frames saving me a lot of money. They do not up-sale and give you want you need. I've finally found a wonderful optometrist/optometry office! It took me a couple of years, but so relieved I found this office and Dr. Mason. Front desk staff greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. Larissa, Dr.'s assistant, was my 2nd contact and she ran my eye tests through several machines. She was very attentive and made me feel comfortable right away. Then, I met Dr. Mason. She is wonderful! She was so easy to talk to and we even shared some laughs. She checked my eyes thoroughly, let me see the picture taken of the inside of my eye and explained things I've never known before. She was very informative and provided tips for things to be aware and look out for. I truly enjoyed my experience and again, so relieved I have finally found an optometrist I can go to every year and will look out for my eye health. Cannot wait to get my new glasses soon. I dread going to this place. I should just find a new place so I don't have to deal with the rude ladies that fit your glasses. That's the part I dread. The Dr's are all very nice. I love the Dr.'s. But the ladies who fit your glasses, for the most part are just so rude. Read the other bad reviews. It's not just me who feels this way. I know they try and try to upsell you everything... and if you aren't careful.... they flat out lie about your ins. coverage. My ins covers bifocals (you know - both distance vision and close reading vision on your lens)... but the lady today, Marisol, told me it's not covered. That I would have to pay $25.00 for that. They call these feature "Progressives". What they fail to say to you is.... "If you don't mind the line on your glasses, it is fully covered. This is called "BIFOCALS". The only difference between Progressives and Bifocals is the line. You still get both prescriptions on your glasses." In other words..... they play dumb. Well shit!!! Then it is covered by my insurance!!!! Right!!!! And when I went right back, after checking my ins. at home... and asked for a refund, and told them to give me "Bifocals" , the other lady in the back, who had to process my refund, acted as if she was taking this personal. As if it was coming out of her wallet or something. She even went as far as saying, I have to remeasure you all over again. Bullshit!!! All she did was put any pair of glasses on me and pointed out to me where the new line would be. That's it. I asked her, "I thought you were going to measure me all over again?" Because she didn't. I knew she was just posturing. Maybe the company should replace all those women with men. Men don't behave like this. For example, the man who took me back to the patient room..... very professional. read more

Livermore Optometry is the best. The experience is professional, efficient, and thorough. The staff explains anything you want described. The optometrist, Dr. Faith, is friendly and knows his field. I have very, very, weird eyes and Dr. Faith always takes the time to discuss the state of research with my condition. The staff helping out with glass selection, fitting, and the dreaded insurance coverage are great! They know their stuff. I am covered by 3 different insurance policies and they navigated that complexity very easily AND could explain it to me! Now, the really important thing about Livermore Optometry is they are always ready to help. When I need my glasses adjusted due to taking them off with one hand, I could have made an appointment but I usually just drop in!...for free! I once went in just to get a different case..I got the same courteous service. They have weekend hours too! read more

Nice big place with a fairly decent selection of glasses. I am giving this place three stars because I was told I would not have to pay any copay but as I was checking out and finishing up they said I now owed 59.50 for a contact lens evaluation. Had I known about this extra fee I wasn't informed about I would have opted out of it. Or if I was informed ahead of time I wouldn't have felt like there was some shadiness. Overall though the staff is kind and efficient. I didn't have to wait long at all. I was also a bit turned off by the fact that the person dealing with frames would get up and get the frames for me instead of letting me pick a few myself and then going off of that. But all in all, good first experience, just turned off by some additional costs that I was not used to paying or not expecting to pay. read more

Everyone there is very friendly and professional . They are right on task, so I never have a long wait time. The staff that helps to pick out frames have always been so helpful. And she took the time to really understand how my eyes work, what my concerns were, and what my plan would be for my vision in terms of glasses or contacts. I can see! But seriously, this is a solid business. Their customer service is excellent. They are quick to get you in to get your eyes checked. So easy to buy contacts from them and they have them delivered to your house. Picking out glasses were really easy and it was so easy to have them adjusted. I had some issues with my glasses months after buying them and there were no issues when I needed them fixed. I walked right in, waited just a few minutes and a professional sat down and helped me with my glasses. In October, my kindergartener got her first pair of glasses. We had such a great experience with working with Dr. Mason to improve my daughter's vision that the rest of our family is now having our vision needs met by Livermore Optometry Group. The night before her birthday party, my daughter broke her glasses. The next morning, while out running errands, I popped in to see if the frames could be saved. They couldn't, and I secretly began to panic a little. Would she be able to see well enough to enjoy her party? How long would it take to get replacements? And honestly, who wants to buy another set of glasses 6 months after buying glasses? The woman who was helping me asked me to wait, then began to search to see if she had the same frames. As luck would have it, she did. Within a few moments, she had switched the lenses to the new frames, adjusted them the closest she could to the old pair (my daughter was in school and not with me for the visit) and told me to come back with my daughter if they needed to be adjusted further. I was in shock that it was that easy and that it cost me NOTHING (the glasses were still under warranty.) The best part is that my daughter was back in her glasses the same day and could actually see for her party. Wouldn't it be great if all of life's problems were this easy to fix? read more

Stay away from Livermore Optometry Group unless you like horrible customer service, doctors that don't listen to your needs, and expensive eyeware. The vision doctor actually got into an argument with me when I told him he was not listening to me, the patient. He was arrogant, condescending, and more interested in pushing various eye tests not covered by my insurance than giving me a vision check to update my lense prescription. LOG does have a large selection of nice frames, but the prices are steep. When I left I was out over $400, nearly double what I usually pay for lenses and frames. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated by the vision doctor here and will not be back. Wish I had checked Yelp first and read reviews of other optometrists in the area. Plenty of options in the area, stay away from LOG. read more

First off -the office was really nice, convenient parking, and I was greeted immediately. The front office staff was stellar and the tech that started my eye exam was quick, informative, and efficient. The doctor arrived very promptly and was so SO sweet. Answered all of my questions and to top it off, they provided me with so much help and input in selecting my glasses. They went over my insurance plan, explained everything in great detail, and let me take my sweet time picking out a pair of awesome glasses. They have Saturday availability which is HUGE for someone who works full time and has a hard time getting away from work. Don't be fooled by the nice office and displays here. After a very expensive exam they told me my new glasses would be in about a week or week and a half. Well, two weeks later my glasses came in but were made wrong and had to be re-done. Two weeks later they finally came in. Trying them on for the first time I knew right off they weren't right. The girl working there said Oh you'll just have to get used to them. Also she made no attempt to adjust my glasses for a better fit. A week later after almost crashing my wife's car because of the of the new glasses. I took them back. This other girl said she checked them and they seemed OK to her but she'll talk to the doctor who examined my eyes and see what he can do. And that will be after he gets back from his vacation next week. Almost two weeks went by and no one called. I then decided to go back and ask for a refund. Oh, the Doctor was apologetic but after all the time they wasted and the set of glasses I could not wear I'd had enough. I definitely have no confidence in this place.. I called over 6 times over a two-day period and my appointment was finally cancelled on my sixth phone call when they finally answered the phone. I have been a patient at Livermore Optometry for 15+ years. In the past couple years the service has dropped to an all time low. I don't mind a busy day here and there but waiting an 1:10 minutes with no site of even being put in a room is beyond acceptable. As I sat in the reception area I checked yelp and low and behold the theme is right there staring me in the face!!! Along with the 4$$$$.. Really? How dumb am I for not checking before. So I call Acuvision which has 5 stars and wow - they got me in for the very next day.
