Allowed workers to function under terrible work circumstances and did not do anything until recently. Majority of workers are lazy and rude, giving my older relative the majority of work at the time. Issues with materials coming up short likely due to theft. Daniel is a terrible manager and person. He employed his daughter to a managerial position due to his sway of power. Relative would constantly complain about workers being lazy and rude to them and customers, but did absolutely nothing. Needs to be shut down and potentially sued for negligence and discrimination. Do NOT give this barley legitimate farce of a recycling center any of your business.

After losing faith in Craig's List over the years, I had no idea what to do with my appliances and furnishings. I also wanted my items to "give back" to humanity. So, I called Bay Area Recycle. They were extremely helpful, informative and professional. They were unable to take my furnishings, but they referred me to someone who could help (Salvation Army and Bay Area Crisis Nursery). They WERE able to take my refrigerator for $35 cash, in a timely manner-- 2 days later! They removed the appliance from the storage unit, so I did not have to do any heavy lifting. Overall, an excellent experience. Why only 4 stars, and not 5? Well, they only accepted cash; and they only take electronics and appliances. However, I want to reiterate-- these folks are wonderful! I would use them again.

They quoted me: $40 for curbside pick-up or $65 to come up one-flight of stairs and remove it from my apartment. 2 guys showed up on time and the price I signed for was the price I was quoted. Plus, they recycle as much of the mattress as they can whereas the other companies just take it to the Dump.

Man said he was going based off what was in the computer. After seeing the price difference I wanted to separate the copper to make a couple extra dollars since I had it mixed. I asked the man handling the transactions that told me a different price on the copper if he can lend me some clippers and he said he cant let me borrow them yet he had my ID and I was going to do it right in front of him. Words cant explain how frustrated I was. I ended up taking a loss at the end of the day and affected me mentally due to financial struggles.

I called the 800 number to make sure this site was still in operation. I was told that they moved…read moreout to Lone Tree Way in the Trader Joe's parking lot and the hours are 9 to 4:30 with 1-1:30 they are closed for lunch. My husband was there at 9 but the guy working there said that he gets there at 9 but it doesn't open until 10:30. WTF?!?!?! My husband was told he had to wait 1.5 hours before they would take his recyclables. That is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. Needless to say, he took his business elsewhere (Delta Scrap & Salvage. see my 4 star review for them) I'm positive that his employers don't know that he's doing that. I hope they read this. My husband didn't want me to call the company and report the worker, so I'm taking this route to get the info out there.
