Super easy process. Had a couple of old computers. Easy to access. Paid $5 to dispose of a monitor. The laptop and CPU were free to drop.

I was looking for a back-up 17" monitor for my home system. Didn't want to spend even $120 at Frys. So Yelped around and found under "Recycled computers" BLUE STAR ELECTRONICS. Besides being right down the street from my work, Tami and the owner, Luis, as the other review stated were super-helpful. Not only do they have a huge inventory of used equipment, they had a full-time technician on hand to show me the various monitors to compare resolution and color. Unbelievable. Don't expect a fancy showroom, but expect, great selection and great service. Oh yeah... and the price was only $50 for a Dell monitor. Now if this wasn't enough, they are moving offices on my same block next month. OH YEAH... One more thing: THERE IS A 60 DAY WARRANTY on the equipment!! I used this company for my FREE E waste pick up. I called in and spoke with Louis and he was very helpful in getting me a scheduled pick up. Very professional ans easy to have your E waste picked up from your home. I would use them again and I would recommend them to any one who needs their old discarded electronics. It's so hard to find s company who will Pick the up let alone not charge you. Win, win!! read more

These guys are untrusted. allowed to come to my office to pick up old pc and laptops told not to take some new dell servers and pc. i came back to check and all of my new stuff were gone include pc, servers, laptop and printers. This outfit is great. I had 2 TVs - a 60 inch and a 32 inch - an iMac and some random cords to recycle. I sent email inquiries to several businesses, but no one responded more quickly or more positively than Louis, the owner of Blue Star. Louis responded almost immediately with a quote which I accepted and his willingness to arrive THE NEXT DAY. I added a couch to the pick up, no problem. His partner Alex arrived on time (and was in touch by cell phone early in the day to more accurately predict his arrival). Alex and his helper were professional, efficient and very personable. I was thrilled to be rid of these items so quickly and did not mind paying a modest fee to accomplish that. I HIGHLY recommend this outfit. Prompt, courteous, communicative and reliable. Our 6th grade classes used Bluestar for a fundraiser. Not only did Louis provide great support prior to the event, they helped with advertising by posting on their website and providing banners and flyers. Not only did they provide ALL the manpower...but, they dropped off a check within a week! I had heard horror stories regarding not being paid for months after the event or never being paid. I picked up a APC netshelter rack in great shape, great price, they have lots of stuff in the one wharehouse I went to. Everyone was very helpful and I would have given a 5 but because they are in between a few different warehouses I had to wait 40 min to get my receipt for my credit card but I will be doing business with them again... read more

I had a non-working refrigerator that I wanted recycled and I arranged for Blue Star to pick it up from my home. They were easy to contact and picked up the refrigerator without any issues. The guys who actually picked up the truck were courteous and arrived within the time frame indicated when the pick up appointment was scheduled. On two occasions, Blue Star came and got a number of old electronics, filing cabinets, task chairs and other misc recyclable junk from our school...for free! They are very responsive and I hear that they sell used things too. Great to have an alternative to throwing things away. read more
