Someone in facebook recommended this place after the recycling place in Oakley is close for good.We…read moreare happy and appreciative of the service the three hardworking gentlemen have done.I have called at least a couple of times and they have answered right away and very courteous.The facility is in the back of Mountain Mike's in Antioch,they provided the bins for our plastic and cans,it was efficient and the working gentleman can't even take a break since there are so many of us lining up,They have kept the surroundings tidy.Thank you hardworking staff of Pavel's,hoping you will open one in Brentwood.

It used to be a better place until i got harassed by one of the other customers. It's the only place I know that is locally near me with recycling but the other place I liked better has closed down. I am changing my review as I also noticed the other folks near me are alsoing having problems as well. I would give them negative stars if I could. First time…read morecoming to this establishment last week. The two men wouldn't even speak to me. The older man was smoking as he walked around. I am asthmatic and had difficulty breathing because of this. THEN the same guy went over to a plastic bin and began pounding glass with a metal rod! Glass was flying out of the bin! It's an accident waiting to happen! I and a lady behind me had to turn our backs in fear we would get glass in our face or eyes. When it was my turn to go up, I told him that I would appreciate it if he stopped doing that while I was being serviced. He did comply and began to sweep up the flying glass pieces on the ground. I shouldn't have to ask him to stop. It's something that could be done when there's no customers around or after hours. Common sense.

Laid off workers during "remodeling" but did not call back my relative even though they promised…read morethey would after reopening. Allowed workers to function under terrible work circumstances and did not do anything until recently. Majority of workers are lazy and rude, giving my older relative the majority of work at the time. Issues with materials coming up short likely due to theft. Daniel is a terrible manager and person. He employed his daughter to a managerial position due to his sway of power. Relative would constantly complain about workers being lazy and rude to them and customers, but did absolutely nothing. Needs to be shut down and potentially sued for negligence and discrimination. Do NOT give this barley legitimate farce of a recycling center any of your business.

Called in for a price on clean copper and once I arrived to location they said owner wasn't there…read moreand they gave me a different price per lb on the copper. Man said he was going based off what was in the computer. After seeing the price difference I wanted to separate the copper to make a couple extra dollars since I had it mixed. I asked the man handling the transactions that told me a different price on the copper if he can lend me some clippers and he said he cant let me borrow them yet he had my ID and I was going to do it right in front of him. Words cant explain how frustrated I was. I ended up taking a loss at the end of the day and affected me mentally due to financial struggles.
