Yes, my time is worth something, but when I found out what they do here, I became an instant fan. They recycle landscape material AND CONCRETE. They compost materials and sell the resulting by-products: base rock, fill soil, top soil, planting soil, compost, and more. Prices are very competitive, and they claim to supply Lowe's and Home Depot also, but buy direct for near wholesale pricing. Besides, you can feel good about supporting a great environmental firm. Keep it out of the landfill; recycle and reuse...and SAVE MONEY. Delivery to Antioch can be $165, so unless you have a place to store it, you might end up doing what I do and collect material as needed. Your neighbors will probably appreciate that, too. Print the pricing page on their website to act as a coupon...just in case there is a price change and haven't updated the site yet. (You can get lucky, like I did.) I like to bring business to locals, but in this case, a little drive for some savings and a feel-good, eco-friendly purchase is a smart choice.

They opened up at 7am...and no I didn't get there that early...I dropped off kids at school, came home and traded trucks with hubby. Then brought down my plywood from 2 old skateboard ramps my kids were done using and a few other scraps of wood. I also had 10 old cement deck pillars. They accept them without the wood block, luckily the termites did that for me! The deck pillars were under the minimum fee of $8 bucks. The plywood was categorized under construction/demo and I was charged the minimum of $9 bucks. They have all different prices for Green Waste, Wood, Concrete/Asphalt/Brick/Stone. Call or visit their website for more info. They also sell compost, topsoil, planting soil, organic fertilizer, and aggregate (rocks) products per cubic yard. This is a basic cut and dry rock or wood kinda recycling place. No cans or bottles etc.. Welcomed with a wave and drove right up to a smile on lady's face. She looked at my load and said that she remembered talking to me the night before. Very friendly and cheery! I will go back here to buy the pea gravel that I'll need in a few weeks.

There have been rodents and droppings everywhere, and it affected my belongings pretty badly. To make matters worse, I found out they haven't had on-site management for over 2 months. That's honestly ridiculous. People have had their units broken into, and there wasn't even an email sent out to notify customers. I had an appointment scheduled for 9:00 AM. I arrived at 9:06, and there was nobody there. At first I thought, "No worries, things happen for a reason." But then I found out there was no one there because they haven't had management for 2 months. This is exactly why so many people are moving out. I'm honestly devastated because I get attached to places, and this storage facility has been part of my life for almost 9 years. Unfortunately, I have to move my belongings elsewhere. I really hope Premier gets new management because I would love to come back someday. But for now, I can't recommend staying here. Thanks for the memories, Premier. No way was I going to Concord Recycling Center (lines are very long). I was surprise I remember Sun's Recycling in Port Chicago (I didn't know this was still Concord) A family own business. I was very impress on the guy unloading my eight big trash bags of plastic bottles into one huge net bag. Very impressive on the guy hauling my plastic bottles. I manage to come to Sun' Recycling Center at a perfect time while there was no people. I manage to come and get out of there fast! Only suggestion is if you happen to have a U-Haul with a bunch of cans and bottles this wouldn't be a good idea to bring your redeem here (you might tick off others who want to redeem their cans and bottles).

The last 4 times I've visited, it's been self service, then the woman in the office helps you. She's been questioning me about my cans every time, and told me that the next time I was going to get scrap metal pricing, because the cans didn't have labels on them (the beer label stickers had been peeled off). She also questioned if I crushed them with a machine. What kind of machine? I mean, I crush them, like a normal person, with my feet, so I can fit 4 times as many in a bag, but whatever. Unfortunately for me, it's become a hassle, and awkward trip, so I will be finding somewhere else to recycle.
