Hot pot with grill
Vivian Q.

Bustling AYCE hotpot (with combo BBQ if you would like) with efficient no-frills service. You mark off the food you want in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds - they had a good meat selection, as well as some vegetables and seafood. I liked the extensive sauce bar in the back which also has some hot foods arranged haphazardly. You can choose 2 broths (the spicy broth is good, and the server specified that she could start low and adjust the spice level to our liking). Questionable quality, my dining partner faced stomach issues the next day.

Service is prompt and food selection is decent. Went on a Saturday at 2 pm to avoid the crowds. No line up and was perfect on a cold day. Tried the spicy soup at level 1. The heat compounds so it gets pretty spicy half way. You can always add more spice but they have to dilute the soup with hot water if it gets too spicy. Overall it was a great experience with friends and the meat quality was not bad. It came up to roughly about $40 for AYCE. They also have a lot of side dishes to try (fried chicken) and dessert (fruit and fried buns with condense milk). It's an additional approx $3 for unlimited soft drinks.

The staff were immediately super friendly, and patient as it was our first time at this location. Value for the money seemed stellar, the 'unlimited drink' option seemed nice because it allowed us to try a few things we'd never tried like various teas. The veggie and sauce area is a bit dated but also who cares. It was great, the food was awesome quality. It was also a great vibe with 2000's pop hits, which was also perfect for us!

I came here with a group of volunteers for dinner. They had a $33 AYCE special for Monday-Thursday. I liked the self serve bar where you can get your sauces and also fried chicken, tofu, noodles, bean curd. You can also order these items off their menu when staff take your order. We got the grill on top of the hot pot because it was a free add on, but we didn't really use the grill much and it was more in the way than useful. The meats were fine and there's a large selection of food. Good air conditioning on a hot day which was important. It was a good experience!

nice!

Fresh ingredients, enthusiastic service, and a clean dining environment. We will definitely come again next time.

Plenty of food but a little pricey for the quality. We all had some bathroom problems after we left. Staff was nice. It was pretty crowded when we got there and the wait was listed as 30 minutes, but it was closer to 45 minutes. Would recommend making a reservation during evening hours on weekends.

Came here for dinner with a couple friends and they did not disappoint. The sauce station had a good variety of ingredients plus side dishes to add to you hot pot like quail eggs, fish tofu, different types of noodles and more. They even have ready to eat cooked foods like chicken wings, crispy chicken nuggets and sweet buns with condense milk! (Yes I know, they try to get you full before you even order off the menu lol) The meat platter presentation was conveniently made with a wooden ring that sat around the pot so it's easy for everyone to share and enjoy. Lots of other typical hot pot items and good selection of AYCD too for $3.99! Such a good deal on top of the $32.99 AYCE dinner. Everything was fresh, but they do serve in small quantities to ensure less food is wasted. Each table also had a service call button, but it wasn't really needed since our server was extremely nice and attentive. Worth coming back for sure!

Lamb and beef selection. 1 per table

Great hot pot downtown. Great variety. All you can eat w/a senior discount. Small place so try to arrive early. Try their fruit juice drink

Not sure why this place has low reviews, my first time at this location was amazing! Came in on a Tuesday night for dinner. It wasn't busy at all. Got greeted quickly by our server Cici, she gave us a run down of how the ayce works and answered any questions we had. Cici was fantastic! Super attentive and friendly. The restaurant was well ventilated, we didn't smell like hotpot afterwards. The food was of course super good, the meats were good quality for ayce. The sauce bar had a great selection. To be honest their fish fillets were super yummy, we couldn't stop ordering them! 10/10 would recommend this place!

Hotpot, ingredients

This was my partner and I's first time trying hotpot, and the servers went far beyond helpful and kind. The restaurant was clean, prompt, and everything was as straightforward as it could be. The food was great! We tried some beef, noodles, veggies, pork, shrimp, and egg with a pork and a spice broth (we went for the least spicy at the recommendation of one of the servers, thank god). We were checked in on frequently, and one of the servers even made us some of the most popular sauces to try, which were very good. For the fun we had, how good the food was, and the hospitality, I feel that the price was fair, and I would recommend this place to anyone interested! I read reviews from both a year as well as a couple months ago, and assumed that the restaurant may have had a little revamp, as most of the older reviews complained about the cleanliness, the service, and the quality of the food, and the newer reviews are all extremely positive in respect to those three things, which definitely was proven true for us. I wish we were local so we could come again!

Let me preface this review by saying I own a hot pot restaurant back in California. Not sure why this place doesn't have more stars but I thought the food, selection, freshness, service, environment and concept were all 5 stars. Monday to Thursday AYCE for $32 CAD was a great value and for an additional $4 it adds all you can drink canned drinks & soda plus freshly made iced teas and juices. After spending the day in the snow up at Grouse Mountain hot pot sounded perfect and this spot did not disappoint. Highly suggest giving it a try.

A Gastronomic Awakening in Chinatown! You don't truly know…read moreuntil you go--and now that I've been, I'm haunted. As I write this, I am literally still dreaming of the Hong Kong Style BBQ Pork. It didn't just "eat" well; it dissolved into a decadent, sweet, fatty puddle of pure bliss. Walking in, the vibe is quintessential Chinatown: a bustling counter, a glass case showcasing glistening roasted treasures, and a seating area that trades fancy decor for pure, functional authenticity. We were clearly out of our element, probably looking like deer in headlights, but the staff met our confusion with warm smiles. Then came Bobby--the absolute heart and soul of this place. We walked in expecting the standard American-Chinese routine, but Bobby whisked us away to a cozy table and treated us like family. He started us off with a fragrant jasmine tea so naturally sweet and floral it didn't need a grain of sugar--perfect for a biting winter night. While we flirted with the Happy Hour menu, Bobby took the reins. You don't say no to a man with that much charisma and passion! On his expert recommendation, we pivoted to the Two-Meat Combo (BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken) with a side of their famous Roast Duck. The food arrived in a lightning-fast 10 minutes, but the real treat was Bobby's play-by-play on how each dish was prepared. You can taste the pride in every bite. The balance was masterclass: a symphony of sweet, salty, and umami. The meats were succulent, the skins were shattery-crisp, and the glazes were perfectly sticky. The undisputed heavyweight champion, however, was that Hong Kong BBQ Pork. Imagine the best "burnt ends" of your life, drenched in a caramelized, mouth-watering sauce that demands your full attention. We left Chinatown BBQ feeling more than just sated--we felt enlightened. If you're looking for a "one in a million" meal, let Bobby order for you. You won't regret it.

The char siu and soy sauce chicken were both cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful. The green scallion sauce was not necessary but it was still delicious ! Would've been great over rice. The extra fatty char siu the server gave me to try was over the top! Perhaps the best char siu I've had to date. My server, Bobby? Did a fantastic job and was very informative and I can tell he really likes what he does thru his enthusiasm

With about 9-10 people per table, we were treated to what felt like at least ten courses. There wasn't much time for photos, as conversation and catching up naturally took precedence. The standouts were the seafood fried rice and the green onion lobster and crab stir-fry -- rich, comforting, and generously flavoured, the kind of dishes that quietly anchor a long meal. It was a busy holiday weekend, and the restaurant was packed. Our original 7:00 p.m. reservation was delayed until 8:00 p.m., leaving many of us waiting outside in the cold. Once seated, the pacing felt off, with dishes arriving out of sequence, which gave the meal an oddly disjointed rhythm. A small apology or update from the staff would have been welcome, but none came. Overall, the food was very tasty, and I would consider returning -- particularly to explore more of their seafood offerings.

However, what truly disappointed me was the poor service. Even though the restaurant was not busy, the dishes were served very slowly. The first 2 dishes came out fast, but the later 2 dishes came out after 45 min. When we asked for additional rice and water, we had to wait an unusually long time. Throughout the meal, we felt neglected. It was hard not to feel that the level of service was noticeably indifferent, possibly because we did not order any high-priced seafood or premium dishes. For a restaurant at this price point, the service was simply unacceptable. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not return and would not recommend it.
