I'm very disappointed with the customer service at Little Tokyo. They refused to give a sample to a three child, wrongly assuming the child had already received one earlier which wasn't the case. What made it worse was the complete lack of apology or even acknowledgment of the mistake. It's upsetting to see such dismissive behavior, especially toward a children. I expected better treatment and more professionalism. The girls were between the ages of 8-11. being a parent present at the time of the refusal was horrible to witness she still refused a sample. read more

If you have ever been to a mall before, you know exactly what you are getting by coming here lol! Mediocre "Japanese" food. My wife likes this place more than I do. They do have some decent options though! My wife likes their Chicken Teriyaki. She gest a side of white rice and lo mein. They pour some extra teriyaki sauce on top. It is a generic super Americanized Japanese joint. The sauces are ok, nothing crazy special. They pour generous helpings of their sauces on top of whatever you get to give it some more flavor. Trust me, it needs it. Rice is pretty bland, but most rice is lol! The sauce helps! Lo mein, idk... It tastes like spaghetti! And they add some vegetables to it to make it lo mein lol! They cook the food on the flat top right in front of you, so that is cool. Staff is friendly enough. Never had a bad or great experience. Always ask for extra sauce to help out the food! All in all, it is a decent spot to get food. If you want semi ok Japanese food. There are better options here.... read more

Japanese food want to be. Food is very stale and tastes old and is very over priced for what you get. Numerous times they have scooped out the little food left from the previous food and served it to me when a fresh batch was right there. And the soda is awful might I add, tastes sour and expired, and one time I received a chunk of brown in my drink, don't even want to know the last time they cleaned that soda machine. Don't even get me started on the customer service. There is a woman there, who I happen to have a picture of who is extremely rude, I will circle her in the picture because let me tell you, that woman should not be working with people. Every single time she is nasty to everybody, and always gives attitude. Today I asked for a sauce and she yelled at me and refused to give me a single sauce. I have no idea what her problem is but they should get rid of her for the sake of their business. I would highly recommend the place next to it, or master wok across the way, much better food and proportions, much better prices, and they won't yell at you for asking for a sauce. read more

Menus is very confusing... I asked about my options and they said two chickens and two sides! Why not one and one? I ordered the kamikaze chicken(supposed to be spicy) ; it wasn't. I ordered the sesame chicken...it turned out to be very sugary...almost a sweet dessert rather than a meat. I picked the chicken, and to my surprise... a lot of sweet skin and everything but chicken remained in the dish. Next time, I am going to salad works. Thier noodles are straight up spaghetti. It's Iike they don't even bother to try to make good food. They know they will get business anyway being in the food court. We spent $65 on lunch for 3 people and none of us wanted to eat it. Avoid. read more

On three separate occasions and the food back to back was poor. I ordered a steak and came back rare. I sat there contemplating to give it back but didnt know if i was going to get something special in return, if you know what i mean, since the grill is behind a wall, away from public eyes. The 2nd time I was with my wife and her rice was either old or was not cooked enough that the rice was hard, chewing it would send you to the dentist. The last one was my teriaki chicken and noodles. the noodles...ok. but the chicken was dry and hard. As if they were not trying hard to make my visit tasteful, I noticed that my cabbage looked moldy (see photo). I had enough. Im either going to China Max across or the other japanese teriaki stand to the right of it. They may not take cash. but after 3 failed attempts. Went here on my break for lunch since I was in the mall. I did not appreciate the guy on the registering assuming I was trying to scam him. He went to swipe my card then changed his mind and typed in the numbers to make sure it wasn't any false info on the card. I will never go there again. I thought maybe I was wrong but I watched him put in the customers cards behind me. I made sure he knew I noticed it and all he did was keep his head down after that. Meh... Rice was okay. Teriaki Chicken tasted alright. But vegetables were a little water logged and that sesame chicken is too sweet, too gooey and a lead weight sits in my stomach from it :-( That being said its probably one of the better choices in the Palisades Center fast food area. Buyer be ware they change prices. I was told the sushi package was 9.99 and the manager rung it up for 13.99 and then another item was quoted for 5.99 and out was rung up for 7.99. I could not tell anything for the quality of the food because I was disgusted by the dishonesty of the manager and employee. read more

Little Tokyo is in the food court on the third level of the Palisades Center Mall. The best way to access the food court is to park in the underground garage near the center block, if you can, and take the escalators up. This vendor was one of the few that was still open during the hurricane on October 29. What I was doing driving home from Connecticut during a hurricane, I don't know, but I was glad they were open. Service was good and a little chatty. I got one of the specials and it was a generous helping of chicken with fried rice and vegetables. I would not say that anything in the food court is spectacular but this is a good-enough choice. read more

As for the food, LIttle Tokyo offers an adequate selection, for a mall food court merchant. I was able to find a very nice chicken teriyaki with steamed vegetables, which offered tender, moist chicken that was NOT over-seasoned, and a good portion of steamed, fresh veggies. We also had shrimp tempura udon which was very good, and a tofu-vegetable stir fry that was excellent. The only down side was the counter staff, who seemed to no communicate with each other, and who did not appear to keep track of the orders, as they moved down the counter, toward the cash register. Near the register, there was a member of counter staff shouting (literally) "Samples!" right into the faces of those waiting on line to pay. read more

We went to this mall on the way back from a beach visit in order to get some nice stuff from UNIQLO. I ordered their vegetable tempura Udon. It came pretty quickly. The tempura itself was alright. The broth, however... Ewwwwww. To describe it, it tasted like cheeto dust condensed into a liquid, but in a bad way. My brother noticed I wasn't enjoying my meal very much, so he offered for me to have one of his egg rolls (did I mention that more than half the dishes aren't even Japanese?). I took a bite and it was just really gooey. I looked inside and it looked like someone had sneezed into it. I would avoid this food court and just go up to the fourth floor. I"m not one to write a review about a food court restaurant, but when you're trying to keep your calories and sodium in check, there isn't much to choose from at the mall normally. Little Tokyo handled that nicely with freshly made California rolls that were really very good. My partner chose the sesame chicken which was delicious. Nice helping of rice, vegetables and chicken; not overwhelming like the standard Chicken Teriyaki in the mall (though I suppose equally as fattening). Friendly staff, not terribly expensive (8 California rolls were $3.99). I'd go again for sure. read more
