Went to lunch here today everyone enjoyed their food. I had the sweet and sour prawns which were cooked perfectly and served with bbq pork fried rice and a ragoon. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, not chewy and the rice / ragoon both had decent flavor. The other dish ordered was the Mu Shu pork which was also enjoyed and came with plenty of homemade pancakes. The portions are very good for lunch portions and both of them were under $11. The meal also comes with soup of which we had the hot and sour. It wasn't the best but definitely not the worst hot and sour soup. Overall, I don't get their lower ranking. Will definitely be back! read more

Solid, solid American Chinese food and inexpensive for lunch. They have some really inexpensive lunch combos for eat-in that comes with soup and a crab Rangoon. Highly suggest getting Wor Won Ton which is won ton soup with extra meats mixed in. Everything else is really good also. Super nice people working there also. read more

Mongolian beef on point! The serving size has gotten smaller but the dish is consistently good. Fried rice good! Always tasty and traditional. Hot and sour soup delicious! It is overall good and traditional, could use some extra cutting of the veggies in them (I tend to have to leave clumps behind) Fragrant pork so-so. Flavor good, too many peppers and the pork strips are itty bitty and odd. Bbq, not consistent. Some times delicious sometimes horribly dry. Got a to go order of Almond Fried Chicken. It was the best I've ever had since moving from Yakima where my favorite was. I have tried many places in Renton and this was by far the best. It had 3 perfect pieces of chicken and a big bowl of gravy. It was definitely enough for 2 big meals by itself. The price was reasonable also. I can't wait to try other dishes! Wanted to eat some Chinese take outs today and this was available on doordash so decided to try them. We got the hong Kong house special noodle which is crispy noodle with a mix of protein and veggies. We also got the winter veggie special which came with tofu and mushrooms and veggies. Portions was pretty generous. Food wise, it was standard. Nothing really spectacular about it, but nothing really bad about it either. I was a little surprise that they didn't provide rice with the winter special dish so I guess it's extra? Overall, a good place to try but nothing I would go out of the for as they are on par with other Chinese restaurants read more

I had a straight-forward simple delicious meal. The hot and sour soup was excellent, not too much pepper and lots of rich, complex flavors. The Kung Pao chicken tasted even better than it looked. The chicken was supple, cooked just right and the steamed rice was perfect, very fresh and fluffy. (see the pics) The waitress was nice, quite efficient, and very attentive... no complaints about the service, at all. Everything else, the facility, the furniture, the decor, the restrooms, the parking... is all typical strip mall average. But the prices are very reasonable! The gravy for the chicken was a color not available in a Crayon box. So, so salty it was not edible. Whatever the veggie mess they made instead of General Tso's.....no way. So nasty. The whole point of this kind of food is that it's supposed to be bite sized so you can pick it up with chopsticks. The sauce had a slightly metallic taste that I didn't care for. The honey walnut shrimp was ok. The tempura batter was a little thick for my taste. The combo fried rice was also ok. The meat was a little bland and came in oddly textured soft strips. The overall quantity of all of the food was good, as was the price, but it just wasn't all that tasty. Funny enough, the fortune cookies were the one part of the meal that tasted above average. We rediscovered it several years ago. I haven't had a bad meal yet and our visitors always request to go there. Service has been great though English is 2nd language. Very polite & friendly. It hasn't been crowded when we've been there but always a lot of people picking up orders. The restaurant is clean. Solid Southend Chinese food and probably hands down some of the best honey walnut prawns around. The sweet and sour pork and shrimp were perfect. Not that junky red sweet and sour sauce. It is like a honey based sweet and sour. Never had one like this and super delish. Decent size for family seatings. Old seattle Chinese feel inside. Service is awesome. This is the third time I've visited Little Peking. The first two times I've been completely underwhelmed. They were recommended to me by a friend and I played it safe in regards to what I ordered. Orange Chicken, fried rice, barbecued pork, Honey Walnut Chicken. Last night I had a repeat of the first visit to see if it was any better and it wasn't. The Honey Walnut Chicken was the most favorable but still not very good. They used a bit too much mayonnaise in the sauce so it was a bit too bland. The barbecued pork was very dry and very bland. The fried rice was practically flavorless, hardly any seasoning or soy sauce. The orange chicken was perhaps the worst. The breading was fine, the sauce was ok but the chicken itself was dry and flavorless. They use breast meat for this dish, which is unusual, as thigh meat is traditionally used (in the US anyway) and even if over cooked doesn't dry out as much and can still be edible. Unfortunately, the chicken, this time and the other two times, has been dry. As this is the third strike for me (please forgive the sports reference). I'm out. I'll no longer offer them my custom. read more

This restaurant was pretty good back in a day. I have ordered Mongolian beef and egg drop soup this time. The meat is blend and dry, no chili peppers, no sauce. Egg drop soup was for my son, he took one sip and walked away, I tried and it tasted like someone melted butter, and it smelled like a stick of butter. Nasty!! The place itself takes you back to the 70s. I ordered jumbo fried shrimp and cream cheese wontons. The wontons were ok the shrimp were over fried they were really really crunchy and hard. I also ordered chicken fried rice and the Kung pao chicken. The rice was mushy and had a small hair in it so we stopped eating it. And the Kung pao was chewy and had a funny taste to it. Almost every month, we have Little Peking. Their egg foo youngs, Mongolian beef, walnut shrimp, hot and sour soup, Cantonese noodles, Kung Pao chicken, and pork and combo fried rice are fantastic. They have never gotten any part of our order wrong, and it has been at least 7 years since we have been ordering takeout. We have only eaten there once- no issues, it is just that we love their food as take-out. This is totally American Chinese food. This is the kind that leans over to a more rich and indulgent experience. This is the kind you order on Friday night, and there is so much food left over that you are still eating it on Sunday for lunch. I am very sure there is lighter food on the menu, but we know what we're about and we have our favorites. They know us, we know them, and I hope this never changes. The food is good, but we came in 7/26/2023 and was waited on by a lady that was very rude asked for hot sauce and she said yes with a sigh and also ice in my water she didn't return so after 5 7 minutes got up to go ask and she was in a booth looking on her phone so I asked again and she brought hot sauce and no ice so I asked again and she came back with ice 10 minutes later! The restaurant had me and my mom and 1 other couple so it wasn't busy! She was right there to give the bill and collect money, when I asked for her name she said I don't know and went in the back! I have been going to Little Peking off and on for about 20 years now but haven't been there for several months. I considered myself a loyal customer (before today). The two stars (as opposed to one) are because they are very friendly and the prices are not crazy (like Yea's Wok has gotten). The food I just got from my 50 dollars was mostly disgusting. The Black pepper chicken was so overcooked that the bell peppers were mush and the chicken was the consistency of under-cooked fish. It was too disgusting to eat and yet cost 10.95. The Mongolian beef looked strange, was oddly sweet and yet flavorless at the same time. I have NO IDEA what they did to ruin the fried rice, but it was an odd dark root beer brown color and tasted weird/bad. Orange chicken.. ok. Sweet and sour pork.. also ok. These two items were not great.. but not disgusting either. The portions were all smaller than they used to be which in this case is good because I certainly didn't want to keep any of it around for later. For the first time in my life I can honestly say that would have rather gotten these same items from Panda Express. It would have been better and cost less. read more

Came here on a Sunday as a family of 4! We came right at opening so we were seated right away. We got seated in the booths, which don't have the most comfortable seats but made me feel cozy with my family. We only ordered two dishes since my parents had a late breakfast. Chicken Moo Shu pancakes - chicken dish stir fried with veggies and comes with 6 thin pancakes. Wrap up the goods with the pancake and put some sauce in it and voila its like a mini Chinese burrito! Their moo shoo was great but their pancakes kind of had crusty edges which kind of downgrades my thoughts on this dish. Szechuan Eggplant dish - this was the winner for me - very saucy and delicious over rice! I loved the flavor and it had a good mini kick to it. It was piping hot and there was a lot of veggies and yum! Service was good and it was generally a quiet restaurant environment for us to eat and have a good family conversation. read more
