I have tried more things from here since my first visit a few years ago. I really want to love the…read morecakes here but they are just not wow to me. The highlight is still the shortbread cookies. The cakes are still not that great to me. The latest cake I tried was the Dubai chocolate cake. If I eat it as just a chocolate cake, then it's good. As Dubai chocolate, it falls way short. It is lacking the kataifi (or knafeh) bits and I can barely taste the pistachio cream or tahini. The chocolate is probably overpowering the other flavors. Very pretty in presentation though. The blackforest cake is also lacking in the kirsch taste. I can barely taste it. Maybe I had a such a great tasting blackforest cake before that many places do not match up to it. Bottom line: just get the shortbread cookie. Get the cakes only if you're really craving it and this is the only place nearby for it.

Their dark chocolate cheese cake is delicious and, once again, did not disappoint! The cake is…read morecreamy and smooth without feeling too heavy. The chocolate icing was just right to add a thin layer of silkiness without feeling greasy, and lighten up the chocolate cheese cake. The 6" cake is just right for a group of 6-10. The strawberry and fruit decoration were all eaten up by the kids in the family so that's always fun.

I came to visit yesterday as I was around the area looking for a snack but ended up walking away…read morewith two, the strawberry shortcake muffin and double chocolate cookie, since they looked really good. I met the owner as well and she was very nice, letting me know that they had taken over management only a couple months ago. Their custom cake looks really epic too! However, I didn't like the two items at all, they were both overly sweet. The muffin was super oily, where it seep through the wrapper and bag, which is shocking because the muffin was actually dry and crumbly...not sure how that works. The muffin also lacked any filling, so it was dry and plain, other than the topping, which was way too sweet. The cookie wasn't that bad, I wished that they used dark chocolate because it was really sweet, and a bit hard. The best cookies for me are the ones that are crispy on the outside but soft in the inside, which this one is hard throughout. I personally don't like sweet things so if you have a sweet tooth, definitely check it out - but I was surprised about the muffin as I never seen such an oily muffin before but that's also dry.

Vancouver Croissant Crawl - Chocolate Lamington Croissant…read more An Aussie classic with a Punk Rock Pastries twist. Buttery, flaky double baked croissant with soft sponge inside, dipped in rich chocolate syrup, rolled in coconut, then filled with fluffy Chantilly cream and sweet jam. Part lamington. Part croissant. Completely ridiculous in the best way. The most impactful croissant in 2026 croissant crawl. Double baked croissant was very crispy. Chantilly cream was very light, so, it paried well with sweet jam. Soft sponge inside was so unique! This sponge made the croissant more interesting. Chocolate coating and coconuts were not overpowered, so, it well-balanced with cream and jam. I really liked it. This bakery is one of the most unique bakery in lower mainland. I visited this bakeries several times, I am always amazed by their creative, unique idea of baking goods on every visit. I also liked the decor, it is fun. Must visit bakery!

The Guildford location is really great because it's not crowded and I was able to get the pastry while it was still warm. Overall, the store was organized, friendly, and I had a wonderful experience

I've been visiting this Chinese bakery quite frequently since they're doing a $1 special everyday…read morefor the rest of May! This time, the sale item was a cheese wiener bun which was fairly solid but could've used a bit more cheese in my opinion. I'm excited to see what other items they will put as part of this promotion since I'm able to try new buns that I wouldn't normally get (I usually stick to their Curry Beef Bun since it's the best one I've had). I've also tried their cakes in the past and I would rank them fairly high amongst other Chinese bakeries in the area though their cakes are a bit more pricy. Overall a very convenient location especially when on the way to Walmart for errands, a very solid Chinese bakery with lots of pastries that aren't too sweet

Not worth the money. Our cupcakes were dry, lacking taste or flavour, and not enough icing. The…read moreicing is what makes or breaks a decent cupcake, but the cupcakes weren't decent to begin with, so they really needed more icing to make them palatable. The icing is "pretty" but scant. Got one of the vanilla and one of the chocolate fudge? They were both gluten free but only the chocolate one was also vegan. I think gluten free pastries come out super dense so they're definitely not light and fluffy. Both had a really basic whip cream on top...not what I was expecting for cupcakes. Overall I thought the vanilla was better than the chocolate but not by much as it didn't have much taste to it.

BTW, make sure to check out their Instagram to see what other goodies they can make you. Everything is so pretty. On another note, their staff is super friendly too.
