Sweet E's is a bit far for me so it is not easy to drop by often. I have tried their cakes before and they were also very nice. This time dropping by, not only did I get the Pavlova, I also ended up getting 6 mini cakes: - Pavlova - 5 stars - light with just the right amount of sweetness. I recommend waiting until later in the summer when mixed seasonal fruit is available. A really delightful dessert. -raspberry-chocolate mini cake - 5 stars - I like the strong raspberry flavour and the raspberry mousse is a bit tart which I didn't mind at all. -vanilla mango - 4 stars - really delightful mango pudding cake. This is good for someone who do not like their desserts too sweet. -lemon - 4 stars - I didn't try this one my self but my brother in law said it taste very typical. However, I didn't like the two items at all, they were both overly sweet. The muffin was super oily, where it seep through the wrapper and bag, which is shocking because the muffin was actually dry and crumbly...not sure how that works. The muffin also lacked any filling, so it was dry and plain, other than the topping, which was way too sweet. The cookie wasn't that bad, I wished that they used dark chocolate because it was really sweet, and a bit hard. The best cookies for me are the ones that are crispy on the outside but soft in the inside, which this one is hard throughout. I personally don't like sweet things so if you have a sweet tooth, definitely check it out - but I was surprised about the muffin as I never seen such an oily muffin before but that's also dry.

It is lacking the kataifi (or knafeh) bits and I can barely taste the pistachio cream or tahini. The chocolate is probably overpowering the other flavors. Very pretty in presentation though. The blackforest cake is also lacking in the kirsch taste. I can barely taste it. Maybe I had a such a great tasting blackforest cake before that many places do not match up to it. Bottom line: just get the shortbread cookie. Get the cakes only if you're really craving it and this is the only place nearby for it.
