So when I saw Cinnaholic right across the street from my Airbnb I just knew I had to go! Unfortunately I can't say I loved it. I ordered the Cookie Monster roll to go and overall it was just too sweet and flavors didn't go well together. In addition it was really messy and seemed a little undercooked. With every bite, all I could hear was the crunch of undissolved sugar between my teeth. The location is pretty awesome with a really inexpensive parking structure next door. The atmosphere is light and welcoming, but very small. We had to wait outside the doors after we ordered. I would say that the hours are really funky considering they don't even open until 10am. When I think of cinnamon rolls,, I think breakfast not really dessert. They do sell other items including cookies and brownies, but I would say their menu is mainly focused on the star of the show ... the buns. Overall, I prefer Cinnabon over Cinnaholic and that's saying a lot!

Everything in the display case looked delicious, but we decided on the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry, the pistachio ganash tart and the pork & fennel sausage roll. The pistachio tart was fresh with a rich nutty flavor, though it took a little finesse to eat because the filling kept wanting to spill out. My favorite was the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry. It was flaky, with a delicate sweetness from the fruits and a subtle floral note from the rosewater. You can really taste the dedication in these pastries. I'd recommend going early in the day as many of their items tend to sell out quick.
