Crust bakery is very popular bakery in victoria. When I visited on weekday afternoon, it was a long-line up. It was so hard to choose with so many options in showcase. what I got: Monkey bread was fluffy dough bread covered in cinnamon sugar glaze. It was very delicious, I thought it tasted like cinnamon bun, but, it was lighter than cinnamon bun and more fluffier. Almond twist pasty was filled with almond paste in the center. pastry was nicely soft with crispy pastry layers. I really like this item, too. Carrot cake muffin was a highlight! Icing cream on the top was nicely sweet and delicious, Muffin itself was less sweet than I thought which I really like and it was buttery and there were generous amount of carrot, raison and nuts! Very good! Overall, It was nice tor revisit this bakery. I will visit here again for next Victoria trip.

A must-visit bakery! The window display literally stopped us in our tracks. We couldn't resist ordering an assortment of pastries to share (10 in total), and every single one was delicious enough to repeat. The staff are friendly and happy to share recommendations, which made our experience even better. Their savory items are just as delectable as their sweets, and they also make excellent espresso-based drinks to order. For sweets, my personal favorites were the crème brûlée tart and the blueberry Danish. On the savory side, the pork and fennel sausage roll was incredible: packed full of meat and encased in perfectly flaky pastry. It was hearty and satisfying. Crust Bakery has definitely earned a spot on our itinerary for the rest of our visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving high-quality pastries. Even better if you bring the assortment to Beacon Hill park to enjoy while you picnic!

Oh man. It was overwhelming to come in the morning when they still have all their selections. There were so many to choose from. We came on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Victoria. There might have been a couple people before us, but the staff there is super efficient. There is a counter along the wall with bar stools for inside seating. I got several things, but had th pear pastry there with my latte. The pastry was really yummy. My kids seemed to have enjoy the pain au chocolat that I got them as well. I tried the sausage roll later, and even though it was cold, it was still good. I imagine it would have been better warmed up. My friend gifted me the Crust Bakery cookbook. I can't wait to try it. Definitely going back on my next visit. Probably better in morning when they have more selection. This place is a must try.

    passionfruit slice and pistachio tart

The passionfruit slice was my favorite. It was mind-blowing good. The portion may appear small, but it's enough for 2 people to share since it's quite rich. Unfortunately, the pistachio tart wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it would be. The filling was quite runny and didn't have a strong pistachio flavor. Their bakery had so many options, I wish I could have tried more. I will definitely get the passionfruit slice every time I go.

Small but amazing little bakery in walking distance of the main pier area.. approx 10-15 min walk one way.. so many lovely treats to choose from.. love the variety of savory pastries - which is often lacking in some places.. faves were the crime brûlée tart, almond croissant and sausage rolls.. wasn't a fan of the rocky road bar - it was more of a Nanaimo bar and fruitcake hybrid than a rocky road bar.. the mushroom tart was really bad - soggy and clearly not made day of .. would advise to have your pastries toasted - we had both toasted and non toasted sausage rolls and it made all the difference.. prices are cheaper than Vancouver which is a big plus

The pastries here are delicious!! The service was quick and the people were super nice. I got the ginger snap cookie, strawberry/almond pastry, and the lemon tart - all were fantastic, especially the lemon tart. It's a cute little shop, not much seating room but it's clean. I'd go back!

A great, cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent coffee. During our visit to Crust Bakery, I had a relaxed and enjoyable experience, with plenty of interesting and delicious treats and drinks to choose from. Crust Bakery always keeps me coming back for more. Paired with its warm local vibe, affordable prices, and consistently delicious food, it truly deserves high praise and makes Crust one of the best cafés and bakeries in town. Thank you, Crust Bakery!

Oh my goodness, this place is tasty and reasonably priced! We shared a lemon tart, which was the perfect balance of tart filling on a lovely sugar cookie-like crust, a molasses cookie, which was spiced to perfection and delightfully chewy, and a strawberry turnover with almond frangipane, which was flaky and had a generous amount of filling. The shop is bright, cheerful and welcoming, and the folks behind the counter were efficient and pleasant. If you're looking to treat yourself, Crust is definitely the place to do it!

Yummy pastries! I was particularly drawn in by the lychee raspberry rosewater pastry but the cookie and croissant were also good.

A must do in Victoria! There was a line out the door but it moved fast and the pastries are very good! We bought only the sweet pastries - almond croissant, blueberry pastry, almond twist, vanilla poached apple pastry, and something else that I already forgot even though it was just an hour ago. Everything was delicious but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the blueberry pastry. Highly recommend!

I came to this place for a quick breakfast to grab and go. There was a line but it went by fairly quick. There were lots of sweet and savory choices to select from. What caught my eye was the cream brûlée tart but I completely forgot about it when I was ordering due to so many other options inside. I needed up getting the bacon quiche, sausage roll, the pistachio tart, the brûlée donut, and the almond croissant. The pistachio was a tad bit sweet for my liking but the pistachio flavor was good for those whom love pistachios. The almond croissant was the best! It wasn't too sweet, light and airy. The sausage roll was sooooo delicious! 10/10 recommend. Ramsey would not be disappointed by the one sold here! The donut was alright, it was not as delicious as how my eyes perceived it.

Saw the window display and had to try it. Both pastries I got were incredibly flaky and flavored super well! Loved the strawberry rhubarb with cardamom cream. They had a huge variety from what I saw and I'd definitely like to try more of them!

We went here on a whim after we saw all the pastries in the window when we walked by. We got the egg nog brûlée. It was absolutely incredible. I had to fight the urge to get a second one since I wanted to save room for more deserts elsewhere. Definitely coming back here just for that one single dish.

Even though it was the middle of winter and it was near closing, there was still a good number of people inside buying buns and not all of them seemed to be tourists like us. We ended up getting a number of different items: Custard Ball ($2.99) - We warmed this up in a toaster oven, giving a bit of the crust on the exterior edges of the donut, especially on the top where the powdered sugar turns into an almost crème brulee-like topping. The crumb is very fluffy fried and is filled with a sweetened vanilla custard. (4/5) Ube Custard Ball ($2.99) - This has the same donut dough base as the normal custard ball, but is filled with a dark purple ube cream. It's sweet and earthy, albeit not necessarily the most heavily ube flavored. (4/5) Original Ube Ensaymada ($2.99) - This bun, extremely fluffy and nice to eat, has an interesting spiral pattern construction at least when viewed from the bottom, but it's not apparent inside the bun. The bun is sweet and again there's not too much ube flavor. If it wasn't purple I'm not sure I could identify it as ube in flavor. (4/5) Classic Pandesal ($0.99) - Lightly sweet, great soft texture. It's pandesal, not too much else to say. (4/5) Overall the baked goods Friends & Family Bake sells are pretty good. Most of the items are soft, fluffy and sweet, perfect for breakfast or a dessert.
