One of my vacation's best highlights is my morning coffee and fresh Croissants. I Googled and found this little French Bakery, Fol Epi, not far from our hotel. It took me and my wife about ten minutes to walk and get there. The area is a new neighborhood that is coming up with a lot of construction. As soon as we walked in, we could smell the freshly baked pastries, which smelled like baked bread, butter, sugar, rising yeast, and vanilla. We got three fresh and warm Croissants and two coffees from the next door. On the way back, we noticed a mother deer and a calf, and we had to take a few photos of them. We enjoyed everything from the patio sitting to our coffee and pastries in Fol Epi. I recommend visiting this little French bakery and the next-door coffee shop.

For Epi is a cute bakery for a pastry or a fresh baked loaf of bread with friendly staff. Tucked into the far back corner of the area you could almost miss them but luckily we didn't. They have a selection that changes pretty often so it's a great way to try something new and their Rhubarb pastry is delicious! I was disappointed that both times when ordering "for here" drinks were presented in single use "to-go" cups. I ordered a chai latte and a hot chocolate both of which were fine but not great. Another miss is that they won't heat up your pastry; but it makes a big difference if your pastry is warm or cold. Difficult to time with when a new batch has come out of the oven. I'd recommend getting your drinks elsewhere but stop by for a pastry & their fresh made bread selection!

Nectarine danish, ham and cheese croissants, savory scone

Lovely bakery featuring tasty croissants and European pastries, baguette sandwiches and wood-fired oven baked bread made from organic, house milled grains. Have enjoyed several Fol Epi pastries, including nectarine danish, butter croissant, ham and cheese croissant, savory scone. Cannot resist their brioche buns - simple yet delectable! If the pastry counter looks altogether too tempting, friendly staff is always helpful to provide recommendations. We always pick up a couple baguette sandwiches for lunch - quite a tasty variety, well-constructed and neatly wrapped. Located on the outskirts of Victoria downtown, biking to the bakery is a popular option. Limited parking available, and we've always managed to find a spot. Outdoor seating available to enjoy freshly baked pastries!

The food in general is so so, except for a few idems that are really good, prices are to high for the quality, One example, I got sliced salami two days ago, Salami was sliced paper thin, witch is fine, but the Girl that sliced it, did not even remove the skins, That is a no no. And again it was really not a great salami, had a really strong smell of pork, Over all it's a over priced , disappointing, ok place, It's a last minute place to go when you have unexpected visitors.

This bakery is incredible. Owner is self taught but has a passion for baking. Delicious options for breakfast and lunch.

Fresh, organic and delicious! The only downside is that it might be a bit pricey. Love the blueberry danish.

Outstanding quality bread and great service. Not a lot on the shelves if you go early but most people shop a bit later (Excelt me).

Everything in the display case looked delicious, but we decided on the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry, the pistachio ganash tart and the pork & fennel sausage roll. The pistachio tart was fresh with a rich nutty flavor, though it took a little finesse to eat because the filling kept wanting to spill out. My favorite was the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry. It was flaky, with a delicate sweetness from the fruits and a subtle floral note from the rosewater. You can really taste the dedication in these pastries. I'd recommend going early in the day as many of their items tend to sell out quick.

What we loved most was that it wasn't overly sweet. It had a wonderful, strong fruit component from the cherries that balanced perfectly with the chocolate and a light, thin layer of whipped cream. The cake itself was incredibly moist and executed with such care. It was a total hit for the celebration! I only wish we lived in Victoria so this could become our regular go-to spot for special occasion cakes.

The orange latte was incredible...bright, slightly citrusy, and perfectly balanced with the espresso. It's one of those drinks you think about long after it's gone. I also had the breakfast sandwich, and it was everything I wanted: fresh bread (obviously), high-quality ingredients, and really satisfying without being heavy. You can tell this place is run by people who care deeply about their craft. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

They have three options: vegetarian, vegan, and one with meat. I went with the one that has meat, and my friend got the vegan one. I also grabbed one of the savory danishes and an oatmeal cookie latte (yes, that's a thing, and yes, it sounded too good to skip). My order took a little while, but that made sense given how long the line was. I got my drink first, then the sandwich came out a few minutes later. The first bite was amazing. Super flavorful. The bread was soft and tasted fresh. I tried a few bites of my friend's vegan sandwich too, and honestly, it might've been even better than mine. How is vegan food this good?? I had the danish later at home and it was really good too. Can't wait to go back. I want to try the vegetarian sandwich next time and maybe pick up some of their cool merch.
