We used to love Lucharitos. They changed the menu for the worse and seem to be catering to the tourists.

Great food but after not being able to even access a full menu or their website from the Yelp app we all ordered a taco meal each. We only found out what that actually meant when we got home. We opened our bag and literally found one taco per person. One mini toco per person. We are avid Mexican food eaters and we have never ordered tocos that only came with one toco. One enchilada yes, one burrito yes but one toco, never. We called them after our order to make sure that there was a mistake and the employee said "oh we get this complaint all the time and there really is only one taco per order". Never in my days have I ever ordered an entree and it only come with one MINI TACO. I don't even. Are about the price at ~$10 per taco, but I care more about finding this disappointment after driving for twenty minutes and arriving home and being left HUNGRY after we finished out extremely small portion of taco. The Fish toco itself was excellent but I would have needed at least two to be satisfied and at least three to be full, like any respectable taco joint any other place on this earth. I've been coming to Lucharitos for quite awhile. Their food is always superb here. Especially the bbq duck tacos. I'm writing this review because not only was the food excellent as it always is, the service blew it out of the water. We came here on our way home from wine/brewery hopping. When we arrived, there was a severely intoxicated group that was interrupting other diners. Kenny, the manager, handled it incredibly professionally. Not only did he calmly negotiated the belligerent drunks, he killed them with kindness. Kenny's hospitality made everybody's experience better today. It's made me love this establishment even more. Definitely my favorite taco place on Long Island. Keep up the great work!!! read more

Every time my family goes out to Green Port we make sure that we have Lucharitos for lunch because it is so good! However, since our summer house is in Jamesport it is not all that often that we get to eat there. Once we saw that they were opening up a new location closer to us we were ecstatic! If you go here you have to get the Chip Dip Trio as an appetizer, it is plenty for 2-3 people. If they have the Mahi Mahi Tacos you have to get them! They are some of the best tacos I have ever had in my entire life and they are such a great price! The wings and the burritos are also phenomenal and the service is fun and professional. Highly recommended for anyone coming through the area! read more

Had lunch today with my Mom, Tai the manager of this location from the Lucharitos restaurants runs a wonderfully tight ship and our server was excellent as well. Attentive to all our fussy order needs and the food was delicious. Went here with my boyfriend about a month or so ago and the food was amazing. Tacos are one of our favorite foods and we were not disappointed. The only negative thing I'd have to say about this place is the pricing is kind of high for my liking. Had lunch here for the first time today. My dates were a 3 year old and a newborn, which can sometimes lead to disaster, but we had a really nice time. Prior to today, my only experience with Little Lucharitos was takeout tacos that I didn't get around to eating until like an hour after the fact, so they were fine but nothing to write home about (my fault, I know) We got there just before noon today and it was quiet, just a few tables. We were helped immediately by an attentive waitress who was great with my son, and the other children at subsequent tables, bringing the juice boxes quickly, and providing coloring sheets and colored pencils to all. She even brought his water in a covered cup. For lunch, he got a chicken and cheese quesadilla. The chicken was well seasoned, not spicy. There are plenty of hot sauces if you prefer spice. It was served with a side of sour cream and a clementine. I had 3 tacos (on special for taco Tuesday) because I skipped breakfast and decided to be a fatass. I was pretty full after 2, but soldiered through the third. The tacos were big, which was actually surprising considering they were on special. I feel like a lot of places decrease portions in those situations, but that didn't seem to be the case here. I had a pulled pork taco, a picadillo (ground beef) and a veggie taco. All were really tasty. The ground beef had a little more grease than I personally enjoy, but was still yummy. The biggest surprise was the veggie. It had more than the standard peppers and onions. It even had broccoli, perfectly roasted! Overall, the meal was great, and served quickly. The restaurant was starting to get quite full as we left. It definitely gets loud in there when it is full, but that's just because it's a small space. I only ever saw the one waitress. She was hustling around, I was quite impressed with how she was able to handle all the tables. Every time I come here I make sure to order the Chip Dip Trio. Idk what this chef puts in his guacamole but whatever it is don't stop doing it. It's an ingredient I've never tasted in guacamole. Mmmmmm just delicious! I love their tacos- I always get hard shell and I love the mushroom! Plenty of vegetarian options here! I also love their veggie nachos!!! Get your fix on! The staff are friendly and seem happy to be there. The sweet young lady who helped me yesterday gave me a great reccomendation for a beach nearby to take my kids and have dinner (now that we are in quarentine mode). Myself and 10 friends went to Little Lucharitos yesterday for lunch, after hearing so many good things about the place. Let me first just say all the good things told to me were right! The food was delicious, everyone loved what they ordered. The place itself is soooo cool, it made us feel like we were in BK. The best part of yesterday's experience here was our waiter Connor and the Manager of the restaurant which I didn't get his name. Connor was super patient with ten very loud and indecisive people. Told us alllll about the menu and was just overall a great server. The manager made us feel like family. It was only our first time there and we left feeling like regulars. I have been to the location in Greenport (which is amazing but always packed) but I didn't realize they had a cozy little spot in Aquebogue! It's still pretty crowded but we were able to sit outside without waiting. Our server was great, and the tacos were AMAZING, but the service was very slow and they messed up our order even after the long wait, which resulted in my mom just having 2 tacos instead of the 4 we ordered. We didn't want to wait any longer for new ones to be made. But our server (unfortunately I forgot his name) was very kind and brought us margaritas on the house. My family had never been to the Greenport location, and they were very impressed with the tacos and the jalapeño poppers (which are OUTSTANDING) but with either location you choose, it's going to be busy and quite a wait to get your food. read more

I have to say that I enjoy this Lucharito's location much more than the Greenport one. I've had better food here, better service here, and it's just a more relaxed atmosphere. (Plus, their luchador posters are better over here, especially the Sound of Music one. I'm not a huge fan of their margaritas, but I love the mojitos and the rum punch. They also usually have some great beers on tap. I usually order a burrito bowl, share the chip appetizer with a friend, and have to be rolled into my car. Lucharito's isn't my #1 spot in either location, but I've always had positive experiences at both locations, and plan to be back when the weather is warm enough to sit outside. read more

I have never been here without a ridiculous wait time. It either takes forever to be seated or forever to actually get your food and it doesn't matter if it's a weekday or a week. The most recent and what will be my last time here my ground beef tacos were raw. Medium rare tacos are definitely not good.... Marc if your ground beef is already cooked why's it take so long to get food here? Is it possible you ran out and tried to cook some giving me raw beef instead? Are you calling your customer a liar instead of trying to provide customer service? How could my server address it if I can never get ahold of a server in this place? Where do I begin...I guess the good stuff? The food was acceptable for your standard chipotle chain like location. The drinks? They were.. very good surprisingly, unlike most of the other bad reviews, but over priced. The bathroom? Spacious, however the toilet did not flush. The design? Quiet cute. The outdoor area is very well kept and has a place for the children to play. Now the fun stuff. The service? I think it would have been more time effective to drive down the road, past all the lights, to the BJ's and buy all of the ingredients and make them ourselves. Let me reiterate. You will be here for 30 to get seated. If you get past level one, you will be greeted with level two.. another 15-30 minute wait for your appetizer. Level three... you guessed it, another 30 minute wait! Isn't this a great game? All of the tables around who came after us, ordered and left before we even got our entrees. The waitress snarky comments about how I must have been hungry after eating all my food made me question why I even bothered staying after the ridiculous wait time for the appetizer.. The menu was Mexican food but there were some interesting flavors and combinations of ingredients. We ordered Frida's Salad, Beef & Cheese Empanada, Carne Asada Traditional street taco and a sweet n tangy BBQ Pulled Pork Burrito. The food was delicious and the presentation was good. Popped into Little Lucharitos last Saturday. The first thing I noticed was the bright multicolored walls and the fun decor. We found a table and were greeted by a very friendly waitress right away. My husband opted for the blackberry margarita and I decided to give the mango margarita a try.. both were made perfectly. I couldn't help but order the beef and cheese empanadas as an appetizer- no regrets! Perfectly seasoned ground beef and gooey cheese. I ordered the carne asada burrito with guacamole and cheese. My husband ordered the ground beef burrito also with guacamole and cheese. Both were absolutely delicious. I couldn't stop talking about how delicious our lunch was. So happy we popped in.
