Phenomenal Experience -- We'll Be Back!…read more My sister and I booked the last two available spots for a completely spur-of-the-moment horseback ride with @texastrailrides at @lonestarranchtexas, and wow... it was absolutely phenomenal. What a perfect way to start our first adventure of the year, especially in the Year of the Horse This year, we've decided to create moments instead of buying things, and this experience was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The instructions were clear and simple, making the ride comfortable even if you haven't been on a horse in a while. Our instructor, Annabelle, was AMAZING -- knowledgeable, calm, kind, and truly attentive the entire time. I had the honor of riding Poncho, a strong, steady, and beautiful horse. There was something incredibly grounding about simply walking the trails, crossing through water, and fully trusting him to guide us safely -- and he absolutely did. That connection, that peace, that trust... unforgettable. We enjoyed this experience so much that we already know we'll be back in March, and we plan to end this year the same way we started it -- on horseback, making memories together. If you're looking for horseback riding in Texas, I highly recommend this trail ride. It's peaceful, empowering, well-guided, and truly soul-filling. Thank you @texastrailrides, @lonestarranchtexas, Annabelle, and Poncho -- we can't wait to ride again

I really wanted to give this barn a chance but unfortunately, the way they handled the situation…read moreshowed that they care more about making money than their riders. There were multiple issues that I shared with the owner, Amy, such as the lack of detail and communication, unorganized scheduling, and an overall poor experience as an adult rider at this barn. When they pushed me to pay for a new month of lessons before I had even finished my previous months lessons I went ahead and paid ($480). After multiple issues scheduling with my trainer, including me arriving at the barn at 7am on a Sunday for no one to be there because they were out on a race and messed up scheduling, I decided that this barn wasn't the right fit for me. I asked for a refund of the $480 I paid only a couple day prior (which I had not used yet for any lessons) and their response was that they had already spent the money on horse feed and could not return me the money even though I hadn't taken any lessons for that month yet. Rather than fighting back and forth, I decided to just let them keep the money as it seems they were not in the position to return it and must've really needed it. However, I walked away feeling taken advantage of especially after all the money I had already invested at this barn. I even volunteered a day and came in bright and early to help with morning barn chores. Sad that it happened this way but I would suggest that if you are an adult rider or even a parent who wants to ensure your kids are getting lessons worth your money, that you explore your options first before riding here.

Watching them welcome newcomers, especially the young ones, is such a pleasure! If you and yours end up committed to barrel and pole racing, I can't imagine a better place to hook up with. My daughter has flourished here and Amy and Adri have helped her realize her true potential. They know everything going on locally and invite us and our daughter to so many races. It's been great and we look forward to many more years with them.
