Our team atmosphere helps children and young adults to develop a sense of self-esteem and responsibility while becoming successful equestrian athletes. We are all about positivity, and everything a rider can learn from that special relationship only horses can provide. Our program doesn't just create successful riders; we create successful people!
History
Established in 1989.
Vanessa Conner is a United States Eventing Association (USEA) certified riding instructor who has enjoyed the friendship of horses for 45+ years and has been a professional trainer and riding coach in the Austin area for more than 29 years. Her positive, supportive, and enthusiastic teaching style helps build confidence in children while they learn important skills enabling them to progress in mastering proper balance, communication, and position while on a horse. CCT's family atmosphere is based on Vanessa's philosophy that riding should be fun and help build a positive self-image. Her riding program emphasizes a team atmosphere in which older riders mentor younger ones, and everyone works together to help and support one another. In all we do, CCT's family of riders is a cooperative learning community. Our lesson program is really about having fun while spending time outdoors with horses!
Meet the Business Owner: Vanessa C.
Vanessa and her husband, Patrick, both grew up riding horses, as did their daughter, Kaitlyn, who is now a full-time student at Auburn University. Their fun, positive, family atmosphere is one in which riders learn important skills, not just about riding, but about responsibility and teamwork. Vanessa has spent a large portion of her life as a high school English teacher, and Patrick serves our community as an EMT Paramedic. It is their philosophy of giving back that drives CCT. Vanessa has always enjoyed working with young people, and she prides herself in being a caring, patient, and encouraging instructor. She is often referred to as "the kid trainer" at shows, because she makes it no secret that she truly enjoys teaching children and young adults. Her national certification with the United States Eventing Association has enabled her to continue to grow and learn as an instructor and trainer at any level, from beginners to international competitors.
