I think everyone should be upset with them holding medication ransom to treat a $2.00 sick chicken, demanding a $85 dollar fee even before the cost of the medication. It's claimed I berated their receptionist wit profanity when actually I was berating the situation. The receptionist took it upon herself to to become offended at me being upset. After I canceled an upcoming appointment telling them I would take my business elsewhere. I received a return call where I was told I was no longer welcome there with my other Animals (that they have received THOUSANDS of dollars for treating in the past two years) as if they are on some type of higher moral grounds with their demonstration of fake compassion and empathy for MONEY. So the takeaway from all this is to understand there is no loyalty points or frequent user awards given here if you show you're a real person and get upset or see their act for what it is - they will simply let your animals die rather than care for them. In addition if they can survive and be fine without the thousands and thousands of dollars I spend there annually, they obviously don't need your money either. Apparently they have pulled the wool over enough people eyes and hold enough medication for ransom from sick animals to keep them in the $$$ for quite some time. Unfortunately, the needless death of Bloomers the chicken is inevitable. Ironically, I doubt the needless death of Bloomers will have near the emotional effect on their receptionist as one of their customers getting upset. They may need to relearn to fake their understanding and compassion to include the fact that people get angry and upset at times. Beware! you are being recorded and they will threaten to use those recording to attempt undermining any negative review. Perhaps be aware of any other undisclosed recording devices being used at this establishment, you just never know.

I have read the previous review from Shelly H. She has been upset over a comment?? which she clearly understood since she responded. Shelly claims she rescues cats but gives them away without being spayed/ neutered using a contract? Ok, what ticket will you write to people if they don't spay and neuter? And then started some sort of personal vendetta against Kathy by writing negatively on several pages and encouraging others to do so, including her rescue friend who is a breeder (Isabel). Once page it was 4 postings in one day. Kathy declined any further help, so did I. Wouldn't you? The purpose for yelp is to write a review on the business and not to start some high school facebook drama. And as a business, Kathy's Kitties is awesome. It is affordable and I would like to encourage everyone to take advantage of the service provided.

With our very first session John really helped us with our 9-month old puppy's potty problems…read more We had trained our puppy on pee pads but as he got older he saw rugs and bedding as giant pee pads. He would rush to his pee pads after walks to pee rather than go outside. And he had lots of accidents in the house. At 9 months old, it seems unkind to revert to keeping our puppy in a crate all the time until he was properly trained so it was hard to know what to do. John provided lots of helpful alternatives that would keep our puppy "confined" but near us without resorting to the crate all the time. The two benefits to this approach are - 1. since we are emotionally comfortable with this loving approach, we (including my children) can actually follow through and 2. it's working! I know it will probably be a longer road since our puppy has already developed bad habits but it's great to see him actually going to the bathroom outside. In the first day alone our puppy started going to the bathroom outside instead of on his pee pads. I appreciate how John was creative in helping us come up with solutions that worked for us and our approach to our puppy (our puppy is already an integrated member of our family so we weren't comfortable putting him in a crate or confining him away from us outside for long periods). We have more sessions scheduled with John to work on basic commands.
