I called to see if they had any vacancies for boarding two English Mastiffs two months prior to…read morewhen we needed it. The lady asked their size and I told her how tall they were and what they weighed. She then went on to tell me what they have to offer in the way of kennels, daycare, etc... and asked me to make an appointment to come out so she could meet the dogs, and for us to view the facilities. The appointment was set for a couple of days later, on a Saturday. Come the day of the appointment, our GPS was sending us in the wrong direction, so I called to get better directions. We were less than 5 minutes from the location, and when we arrived, I called again, and she told me we were early (maybe 10 minutes...). We sat outside the gate for ten minutes before the gate was opened. We walked into the small office to meet with her, and she asked if we had brought the dogs with us. We had been hesitant to bring them inside the small building since they are large ( approx. 160 and 190 lbs). We brought them inside, and they began to sniff and walk around. We could sense she was a little afraid of them, but she did attempt to touch them. They barked at her; and their bark can be intimidating. The office was really small, and when you have three adults and two large dogs in a small space, they probably started feeling threatened because they could not see the door. She told us that she recently hired a few new employees, and they had not been fully trained. In short, she would not be able to accept them. This was fine with us, because we did not feel comfortable there ourselves, and the last thing you want to do when you are on vacation is worry about your pets kennel situation. We felt like this entire ordeal was a waste of our time; she knew the day we called how large the dogs were, and how untrained her staff was.

We will NOT be back after this last stay. My two dogs boarded for ONE night this last go around…read moreand my beagle ended up with a torn acl. BUT because they have her on camera walking normally out of the facility when I picked them up, they are refusing to take responsibility. My dog was lifted in and out of my vehicle by me, my dog has not been subject to any unusual day to day activities since I picked her up. She started exhibiting her symptoms as soon as we got home. Previous stays have resulted in Urinary tract infections in both my dogs on separate occasions which leads me to believe my dogs weren't getting adequate water and their room wasn't kept adequately clean. BUT the owner of the facility basically told me I was a crappy per owner and they could have come to boarding already sick. (Total bs). My Great Dane has come home with screaming raw abrasions on her elbows more than once and I'm pretty sure it's because they remove all bedding from the room HOURS before they get picked up and she is forced to lay on the concrete. I tried to voice each concern with the owner separately in a phone call, not only was he flippant and rude, he barely let me get a word in edgewise over his constant excuse making. He pretty much told me to never bring my pets back to the facility as they'd be better off without my business, and I sure as hell won't be! I worked for a 13 room luxury boarding facility for 2 years before we moved to Texas. Never in my life have I dealt with someone so nasty and rude.

I asked the woman who checked me out, how long had my dog eye been oozing the stuff and she said I just got back let go ask. She returned and told me that no one noticed anything. I then asked, so my dogs had no interaction with other dogs per my request, did they not have interaction with the staff. I called my pets veterinarian office in the presence of the same staffer who checked me out. I paid $75.00 for an emergency visit. Upon completion of my visit to the veterinarian, I returned and told the same woman my dog has an eye infection which she did not have when I dropped them off. I presented her with the receipt from the visit and requested reimbursement. She said she'd let the owner know. NO ONE FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT HAD THE COURTESY To CONTACT ME AND ASK HOW MY DOG IS DOING. Jerome the owner requested that I get my dogs veterinarian to write something stating that they caused the problem. REALLY? They identified the problem and treated my dog along with prescription. My biggest problem is no staff could say when they first saw the problem with my dog. They had my veterinarian information they had 2 different contact phone numbers . I left a small bag of IAMS dog food , when I picked my dogs up I was given the bag of food almost with the same amount of food in it. Both of my dogs lost 1 1/2 - 2 pounds and I have the proof. It's very obvious they weren't fed as I informed they are self fed. Bottom line, Board here and hope nothing happens. Lesson learned, I'll board at the luxury pet hotel next time. They give you a link to your dogs room and because they have nothing to hide, you can check in on your pet children at any time and see how they are doing. It will be worth it.

I had been getting him groomed every 2 months for the last 2 years by Meghan at Dogtopia. She did a beautiful job every time and my dog just loved her. When I took him this time they did not tell me ahead of time that Meghan was no longer there. I told them I wanted the full spa treatment and for him to have the standard wire haired fox terrier cut that he had always gotten. When I picked him up he had been shaved except for eyebrows and moustache. It wasn't even a clean shave!! He had tufts hanging out all over and places shaved to the skin. The backs of his ears, under his ears and sides of his face and around his throat were shaved to bare skin then they tied a skanky bandana around his neck to try to hide it. They made sure to charge my credit card for $92 BEFORE they let me see my dog. He usually greets all the people in there and explores when we start to leave. This time he just ran to the door and tried to get it open to get out. I get physically ill when I think about how he was treated and handled while they were doing this to him. Something has changed at this Dogtopia in the last few months. I had noticed that the hallway was dirty and smelly the last couple of visits and that the dogs were not as perky and clean looking when they left. Also don't see any familiar staff anymore.
