    Oboz hiling boots w/one lift

I have a leg length discrepancy and need a lift on one shoe. Fernando put a lift on my Oboz hiking boot. He was friendly, very personable, and most importantly, he assured me he could help me. He told me "I got you" and I knew he meant it. I was very happy to get the lift done, and he will be my go-to lift guy, in the future. Fernando took over Little Boot about mid 2023. He has cleaned up the store, using vintage cobbler equipment for displays and he is quite organized. I was impressed by the change and I really like his professionalism. His shop is an asset to Longmont.

    Shoes with good workmanship!

Once again Fernando came through. Another shop ruined my brand new shoes doing shoddy work and cutting the straps too short. Now they are good as new.

A decent repair shop, but watch out: wear your armor for the woman at the front...
    Frankie H.

I had used their service for years, & recommended them too, but sadly now I will not return. The last repair they did for me didn't hold (a tall boot zipper) -- ok, that can happen -- but the woman at the front, (apparently, according to her own statement, the owner) was appallingly rude. It took me months to go back, admittedly -- (life/work are busy!) -- but as the zipper hadn't held from practically day one, I had kept the receipt and finally did go back. She was abusive and hostile about it. It seemed to enrage her that I hadn't come back in so long. Consequently, I told her I would post a review about her attitude -- not about the work, which is generally fine, but her nastiness. The two stars are for the cobbler's work, which is efficient generally-speaking. However, why should one need to put up with open hostility at their reception? I've lived all over the world, & generally in CO people aren't rude to their customers, as can happen other places. A pity, as the man in back/the cobbler, seems to know his "craft", and is friendly/courteous enough. However, she's lost them my business. I've seen other reviews that say similar things about her and the experience that I had. Too bad. There are plenty of other boot/shoe repairs in the area.

    Running shoe with 2-inch build-up.
    Mark C.

I searched wide and far to find a Colorado specialist that could build-up a running shoe for me. I dropped the shoe off, they told me what date the work was scheduled for, and the day after that date I heard from them that they had some questions and felt they wouldn't be able to do what I'd asked. We talked it over and I agreed to pay for what they could do, once I'd seen it we could discuss what changes would be needed. A couple of days later I got a call the shoe was ready, I collected them and was shown pictures on how they'd achieved the build-up. The shoe is fantastic, and seems to be holding up well. Can't ask for more. I've attached one picture more details can be seen here. https://www.news4tri.com/shoe-stories-2021/

Hi I have a pair of boots a siZe bigger than my normal size. Can you bring them down from a size 10 to a size 9?

I would call the store. I think this is just for Yelp community, not businesses.

A problem with wearing good boots or shoes is getting them resoled or repaired when needed. It is getting harder and harder to find a quality repair shop, when you do find one you keep giving them business. My father, who now lives in Utah, sent me his boots to have them repaired at Kuyper's. I just picked up a pair of Danskos that needed a new heel cap. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work. The quality of work is better than I have experienced at Longmont and Boulder shoe repair shops, the cost is 30% less than Longmont and Boulder, and Kuyper's puts a buff on your shoes before they return them to you. This last part, putting a shine on your shoes before they are returned to you is actually a very big deal. It really reflects a craftsman who is proud of his work and wants to go the extra mile and present his work to you in the best possible way. Shops which hand you back your shoes as dirty and scuffed up as you brought them in, or want to charge you an arm and a leg just to run the shoes over a buffer, are just an embarrassment. Go to Kuyper's, you will speak directly to the man who will be repairing your shoes, you will get a higher quality result, you will pay less money, and you will be patronizing a shop which is proud of it's work.

TLDR: expensive, slow, low-quality repairs…read more Roughly 6 months ago I had my shoes repaired here I had a terrible experience. I was inspired to finally write this review because the sole of my shoe has since fallen clean off so my frustration is renewed. I'm no expert, but I don't think 6 months should be the lifespan of a shoe repair. I brought in a pair of oxford docs to be polished and resoled. Notably, there was a crack in the midsole that I requested they repair (I was hoping that they would replace the whole sole but literally just some glue would suffice). They charged me nearly 100 dollars, did not offer me a receipt, and told me they'd call me in about 2 weeks when they were finished. Two weeks came and went and they did not call. So I called them. They stated they did not have any shoes matching my description and asked for information from the receipt (which they never gave me!). Eventually they did find my shoes, but they took another week contact me again. When they did, they told me they had finished my shoes but used the wrong sole, so they would have to redo them. When I finally went in to pick them up, they had totally ruined the finish (gross, thick, gelatinous looking polish), didn't even resole the shoe. They had simply glued new treads on and entirely ignored the crack. I understand that docs can be tricky to resole properly but if they were not able to do what I asked for then they should have a) been up front and b) not charged me 100 dollars. I really regret not saying something....

When I retrieved my boots, one of the shoe laces had been cut and was tied back together... Not only that, but there were other parts of the shoe lace which looked purposely worn down. The leather and an eyelet had been cut into as well; I suspect there was a slip of a tool which cut the shoelace and the shoe leather. The other shoe was fine. I told the man who was there, whom I assume to be the owner, that the shoelaces were never broken and were not worn out when I brought them in. I tried to use logic and compare the worn shoelace to the unworn shoelace on the other boot. He argued with me, claiming that I must have taken them hiking and broke the shoe lace. When I told him that I do not take these boots hiking, he then told me I must have tripped off of a sidewalk to ruin the laces. He then tried to sell me laces from the store. When I wore the shoes, I noticed the insides to be warped. After a week of wearing the "repaired" shoes, the heels started to come apart again. I understand mistakes happen, but this was a poorly done job and I was lied to. Please save your loved shoes by going elsewhere.

I turned that down and asked them to just complete the basic cleaning for the other pair of boots which cost me $10. They said it would be ready in a week and they would call when it's ready. A week and a half later I still hadn't heard anything so I called to inquire and I got a rude response for not having my ticket on hand for the store owner to retrieve the boots. Overall, I was unimpressed with the customer service and communication on their behalf. I couldn't believe the attitude I was getting for THEIR mistake of not calling me in the first place. The shoes were cleaned fine (not great) but I will not be taking any of my items back there, nor do I recommend anyone else to do so.
