Recently, I had a wonderful experience at little boot shoe repair and leather works! They fixed a pair of boots for my daughter and stretched a pair of shoes for me. I also bought a vintage pair of cowboy boots at Tia store and they stretched them to fit my feet perfectly. Everything was done on time in a friendly, professional manner and I felt like it was a good value I will definitely return to this business for other shoe repair needs. read more

I took my slightly worn Softstar shoes to Fernando at Little Boot and asked for a tough, nonslip heel to be added into each of the 1/8" soles. He said they would be only a bit higher once he put them in. When I picked up the shoes he had instead added entire resoles to both shoes, saying there was a "bump" that prevented just doing the heel on one shoe. No extra charge but now my thin, minimal shoes had 1/4" soles. Right away I took a weeklong trip and on the second day, the entire sewing around one shoe Popped open, with all the threads snapped off short. The other shoe had started to snap off, too. A shoe repair shop said the Little Boot repair had sanded the threads during the resoling and they should redo them. When I returned, Fernando and I respectfully disagreed about whether he had caused the separation, but he generously agreed to resew them at no charge. I picked them up today, and he still did not charge me. He is still assertively claiming he did not cause the problem. I am not persuaded either way. However, my soft, flexible shoes are not minimal any more. And I spent 6 days of my trip in borrowed shoes that were uncomfortable on my bunion. You can take what you want from this tale. He asked for a review and there it is. read more

Helped me out with my belt and great work and friendly. Highly recommend using their devices.

Replaced a handle on a large carry-on/backpack. Great work. Very fast. You just have to be clear what you want (leather handle) and when you want it (Monday). Then call on the promised date, make sure the item is done, and say what time you'll be there to get it. Prices are fair - nothing is free people. You're getting skill and great workmanship. read more

I have visited Little Boot for a number of shoe repairs and have always had excellent service. Today I arrived there after searching all over town for laces for my Keen hiking boots. I couldn't find the correct size and color, but the proprietor took time to look for what I needed, found them and gave them to me. Yes, GAVE. While I entered the store as a return customer, I can confidently say that I'll keep returning for all my shoe services and fully recommend this shop to anyone in need of shoe repair or a friendly face. read more

Fernando provides amazing customer service. He identified the problem with my 5-year old boots right away -- a recently broken inner sole had led to a staple emerging and poking my foot! He offered a quick temporary fix, and I was on my way. I will be back soon. :) read more

I have a leg length discrepancy and need a lift on one shoe. Fernando put a lift on my Oboz hiking boot. He was friendly, very personable, and most importantly, he assured me he could help me. He told me "I got you" and I knew he meant it. I was very happy to get the lift done, and he will be my go-to lift guy, in the future. Fernando took over Little Boot about mid 2023. He has cleaned up the store, using vintage cobbler equipment for displays and he is quite organized. I was impressed by the change and I really like his professionalism. Used to love this place but the new owner is charging three times what even boulder shoe repair shops charge in my opinion. I felt like he was trying to pull something over on me. Over $250 to replace two zippers. Give me a break. Boulder charged $75 for both. Same zipper. read more

I had used their service for years, & recommended them too, but sadly now I will not return. The last repair they did for me didn't hold (a tall boot zipper) -- ok, that can happen -- but the woman at the front, (apparently, according to her own statement, the owner) was appallingly rude. It took me months to go back, admittedly -- (life/work are busy!) -- but as the zipper hadn't held from practically day one, I had kept the receipt and finally did go back. She was abusive and hostile about it. It seemed to enrage her that I hadn't come back in so long. Consequently, I told her I would post a review about her attitude -- not about the work, which is generally fine, but her nastiness. The two stars are for the cobbler's work, which is efficient generally-speaking. However, why should one need to put up with open hostility at their reception? I've lived all over the world, & generally in CO people aren't rude to their customers, as can happen other places. A pity, as the man in back/the cobbler, seems to know his "craft", and is friendly/courteous enough. However, she's lost them my business. I've seen other reviews that say similar things about her and the experience that I had. Too bad. There are plenty of other boot/shoe repairs in the area. read more

This place really is a gem! I took a pair of my son's rollerblades in to have the velcro straps replaced with another set that was in better condition and Fernando stopped what he was doing, rethreaded his machine to get the job done on the spot, and Whooosh! I was in and out in a flash! And no charge for his stellar work! We are so lucky to have Fernando here in our City! Such a nice guy - happy, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and speedy! Thank you so much, Fernando! read more

Very helpful. I went in for a zipper repair but he saw there was a tiny piece of sand stuck that was causing the zipper to not work. He fixed it in front of me and gave it back to me. I offered to pay, he said no charge. I'll be back with my boots that need re-stored! read more

I searched wide and far to find a Colorado specialist that could build-up a running shoe for me. I dropped the shoe off, they told me what date the work was scheduled for, and the day after that date I heard from them that they had some questions and felt they wouldn't be able to do what I'd asked. We talked it over and I agreed to pay for what they could do, once I'd seen it we could discuss what changes would be needed. A couple of days later I got a call the shoe was ready, I collected them and was shown pictures on how they'd achieved the build-up. The shoe is fantastic, and seems to be holding up well. Can't ask for more. I've attached one picture more details can be seen here. https://www.news4tri.com/shoe-stories-2021/ read more

I went to Little Boot today with my English friend to have her shoe repaired. Imagine my surprise when Fernando, the most handsome, intelligent and well-versed shoe man in the western United States, examined the shoe and the foot and advised my friend she needs to go up a size. Within minutes and with remarkable skill, Fernando repaired the shoe and sent us on our way with good vibes. We highly recommend Little Boot for all your footwear repair and refurbishing needs. Great service. Fernando very personable and accommodating to my needs to have heels replaced/repaired. My only issue was that when he initially asked if I wanted my buff colored leather boots waxed I said no. Unfortuently when I picked up were totally different color, a dark brown. Luckily I like it ok and will still wear but I was disappointed as l do prefer buff natural and apparently he'd not made note of my specific request not to wax/change color ( my other pair boots were fine). read more

So, the shop is the real deal. The owner really knows his craft. He's handsome too... so know what you want before you go in. Twice in the last month I've had shoes repaired and both pairs were exceptionally renewed. The price...well worth it. If I had an electrician or handyman or plumber half as good as this cobbler, I'd tell you about them now. This is the best shoe shop ever. I'm taking more shoes in this week, because real art is hard to find. read more

We recently traveled to Longmont, having learned that our favorite shoe repairman, Fernando, had relocated there on Main Street at a shop called Little Boot, after leaving his small Baseline space in Lafayette. We were happy to make the trip with a couple of pairs of shoes, one to be repaired, the other stretched. He is the best repairman we've ever known, not to mention the friendliest and most accommodating to our needs and wishes. We'll make the trip any time we have shoes in need of his excellent work. I walked in asking if they could polish my boots quickly. The "lady" does a claim ticket and says they will he ready tomorrow. I tell her I was hoping they would be done today. She then proceeds to argue with me and asks why I didnt say that in the first place. I tell her I will go somewhere else due to her attitude. She goes "go ahead and don't come back." She is a miserable little troll. I hope she knows that I work for a place where people wear a lot of boots. Our favorite cobblers (Perry's) moved to the mountains and the process for working with them became extremely inconvenient...so, we were (initially) very excited to learn of the Little Boot which is on our regular weekend route in Longmont. In hindsight, our first visit to the shop should have been a clue - yikes what a mess the place was - boxes overflowing with shoes, boots, etc. all of the place - even obstructing the entryway into the shop. But, sadly, we took the chance to have them put new heels on my favorite Birkenstocks. They guy who greeted us was friendly enough...but, what he stated he would do...and what was actually done are two worlds apart. The shop was still a mess when we returned a week later (nothing has changed)...and the workmanship on my favorite Birkies was sloppy with gaps between where the heel was applied and the rest of the sole of the shoe with white glue marks everywhere. Edges on the heel were jagged and not trimmed properly. Cost over $40...and am now not even sure if or how long the new heels with last. We will never use Little Boot of Longmont, CO again!! read more

They have a super quick turnaround. Their prices are fair. They called me when they were ready. My shoes look like new.

Its not possible in my opinion to have such amazing reviews and yet have someone working for you or worse- someone who owns the business- to care so little about it. To me, customer service is critical part of a "great" business warranting a 5-star review. Called here to ask a question and the lady didn't have any answers and could care less. Really lame. Would never trust them with anything. Whatever happened to the days when experts answered the phone who cared about their business, could answer any question you had and cared about Helping you???? Guess I have to go to Boulder again... read more

I hate this guy. He had his shop previously in laffeyete. I dropped off my very expensive shoes for them to be fixed, he said they would be done by Friday. So I went to that shop within their hours on Friday and nobody was there. Called on Monday and went after nobody picked up and nobody was there next day same thing and did that everyday for a week, spamming their phone with calls. My mom went today and saw somebody inside and pounded the door down and the people said that he had scammed them and ran off with their equipment and customers shoes. He then went to this shop. I picked up the shoes and he proceeds to asks me wheres my ticket after I threw it away because I thought I had lost the shoes and was scammed. The shoes I needed repaired were a pair of yeezys, he sewed through the bottom of the sole and glued them and burnt the shoe practically ruining the shoes. Please please please do not give this guy any business and I can't wait till this shop gets closed down and this guy is on the street. read more

Great little shop! Repaired attachments on the straps of my leather purse beautifully! Will enjoy using it again!

I took my backpack in to see if they could fix the seam for the top closure. They fixed it in a way that you can't tell it ever needed a repair. The thread matches and the fix barely shows. They also finished it in quick time, I couldn't believe it was done already. I highly recommend Little Boot, really glad I found them. read more

They did an awesome job resoling my great grandfathers cowboy boots. The leather soles had worn completely through and I had resorted to glueing them back together. I wasn't certain that the boots were salvageable but held on to the hope of preserving the boots and the memories. They resoled them with leather and conditioned them to a soft supple state that I didn't think was possible! I'm very grateful for the quality work that they did. read more

I really can'y understand all the 5 star ratings here, sure they seem like nice people and maybe they have friends write reviews. I have used many shoe repair places over the years and this one ranks last. I've used them twice and both times I couldn't see the difference in our shoes from when I dropped them off and when I picked them up. Still dull and hazy looking. Only the second time I brought 7 pairs of my wife's shoes and only picked up 6. And this was 2 weeks after they promised them and to this day I never got a call back with them saying they found the missing pair!!! (3 months now). There used to be a nice place a couple miles north of them that two ladies ran, it was awesome but they are no longer there. That's how a ended up at this mess of a shop. Looks like I'll have to find another shop, one that doesn't do a mediocre shine and repair and loose shoes! I hate giving bad reviews but I am beside myself with this shop and had to counter all the odd 5 star reviews. read more

Little Boot - Shoe Repair Near Me - Longmont, Colorado

While I have experienced some ridiculous situations at businesses, this will be the first that I have felt has warranted a Yelp review. For years my mother and I have been using Little Boot, probably upwards of 20 pairs of our shoes have been repaired at the store. Other than a few minor quality differences, the craftsmanship and skill shown here is great. However, their sporadic, inconsistent hours has lead to an absurd lack of communication. Last Friday afternoon, probably about 30 minutes to close my mother called to check if she could come and pick up a pair of boots, as she was not sure she would make it in time. The owner then said she could come whenever the following week (not "how quick would you be able to make it today?"), as she was going out of town. The boot pickup was then delegated to me, who has now only been informed of a pair of boots that need to be picked up. But as I go to make the ~20 minute drive, I notice the ticket says they won't be ready until the upcoming Friday. Wanting to double check and not waste either their or my own time, I was received with an annoyance and a complete lack of communication from the woman who answered the phone. After calmly clarifying multiple times that it wasn't myself who had called last week, I was only looking to confirm if the boots were ready. After cutting me off and not answering my question multiple times, I got quite frustrated and, of course, more forcefully asked again if she could just confirm. At which point she hung up. So I make the drive, regretting calling in the first place knowing that this woman has shown this rude behavior prior. Once arriving at the store, the boots just so happened to be right at the front of the counter! So I, maybe a little sarcastically, asked why she couldn't have just confirmed on the phone. At this point, the owner comes to....diffuse? He mostly just shrugged as I explained my frustrations with both the process and his employee, as I felt it was a very simple request from the business that has now escalated far beyond what I had hoped. The woman keeps being rude and cutting me off, seriously causing a scene that is inappropriate both for a business and for being in public. Perhaps I may be of unpopular opinion here, but I felt that it was a part of their job and the service they provided, and that I have paid A LOT of money for over the years, to simply confirm before I made the drive. After feeling like I had concluded why I was a little frustrated with the situation and am walking out the door, the woman makes yet another rude comment to me. This ended up being the cherry on top that has driven me to write this review as I sit in my car and stare at the pair of heels I now need to find a new shoe cobbler for. read more
