I found a really great family owned place that had been in Boulder for two generations and I used them for years. When rents in Boulder got too high, they moved to Nederland. I recently heard that they finally closed forever about a year ago which left me in a quandary about where to get my husband's favorite belt repaired. It is nearly 20 years old and the leather quality sound but the stitching that holds the buckle and loop on had completely torn away. We went in on Friday to see if the staff here could fix it. They said they could and it would be ready on Monday. We paid in advance about what the belt originally cost but hand labor is not cheap these days. Amazingly, they called today to tell us it was ready. We went over to the shop and indeed it looked very good. At least now we can put off the search for a new perfect belt, hopefully for another decade. Note: the place is still a mess inside and there are still dissatisfied customers in the line ahead and behind you. Hopefully your project will turn out as well as ours did.

I couldn't find any clear resources on how to fix this myself, and local tailors said they couldn't handle luggage repair, but recommended asking a cobbler. I found Mr Shine on Google and called ahead to see if they repair luggage, and then dropped off the next day. I was informed that they could try to replace the slider & pull, but that it may not be possible given some damage to the zipper, and they would keep me updated. Because they were unsure of the possible repair, I didn't have to pay anything at drop off (I really appreciated their transparency!). I got a call a few days later that the suitcase was fixed, and they were able to do the cheaper option after all. At pickup, the zipper teeth were straight, there was a leather reinforcement added to the end of the track, and the slider and pull were new and moved around smoothly. Their team is clearly skilled at what they do, especially for a repair that seemingly no other business wants to touch! They have beautiful handmade shoes on display in the store as well. The staff were kind and helpful both in person and over the phone. Definitely recommend for shoe, luggage, handbag repair & more!

The staff was friendly and spent a lot of time with us as we went to make a selection on shoes. Prices are that to what you would see online. They did answer all of our questions. I called at the end of June to see how the progress was going- I understand work can get backed up so I just wanted to check in. They told me they would be done in ten days and they would call me. By the end of July I didn't hear from them so I called again and was told the shoes were done and ready for pickup. I live in Estes Park so had to drive down to get them and when I did they were not done. The resole was done but not the sewing of the lining. Since it had taken so long and I wasn't getting correct information about the status of the shoes I just took them with me am still looking for someone else to complete the work. The staff was nice but I'm really disappointed in my experience here.

Also these are the people Redwing has authorized to sell and service their products in the area. I wouldn't trust the people who run this store to organize a Sunday picnic, let alone run a business. To be clear you are much better off ordering any Redwing products online and researching it yourself. The store is staffed with young associates that can't help much and the system has "been down" so transactions are on paper and with carbon copies. Hope you don't have to order or return anything that is on back order.

He said they would be only a bit higher once he put them in. When I picked up the shoes he had instead added entire resoles to both shoes, saying there was a "bump" that prevented just doing the heel on one shoe. No extra charge but now my thin, minimal shoes had 1/4" soles. Right away I took a weeklong trip and on the second day, the entire sewing around one shoe Popped open, with all the threads snapped off short. The other shoe had started to snap off, too. A shoe repair shop said the Little Boot repair had sanded the threads during the resoling and they should redo them. When I returned, Fernando and I respectfully disagreed about whether he had caused the separation, but he generously agreed to resew them at no charge. I picked them up today, and he still did not charge me. He is still assertively claiming he did not cause the problem. I am not persuaded either way. However, my soft, flexible shoes are not minimal any more. And I spent 6 days of my trip in borrowed shoes that were uncomfortable on my bunion. You can take what you want from this tale. He asked for a review and there it is.

Also this company is a derivative of the Dugout Cleaners, Boulder's long time family owned company which I had always used. . I don't do a lot of dry cleaning but after having several things ruined by both the highest priced place in town and a budget chain I tried John's again though none of the locations were as convenient. But it was worth it., the stuff came back just fine. I use them mostly for laundering sleeping bags and down comforters and they have been superb. One bag was so bad I almost threw it away to buy my husband a new one but tried John's wash process first and it was amazing. Saved for another decade of use! I then did all the rest of the bags and my best down comforter with the same great results. I would have given them 5 stars but you have to go to their website to get a 20% off coupon each time (which I sometimes forget) and the price without the coupon is a little high. Given that most customers probably use the coupon, I would rather they just price more competitively and skip the coupon option.

Coats and sweater were much improved but linen pants are destroyed. No offer to dismiss and charge. Oh, and the associate made a comment to me about significant amount of redo's on my account. This place might be fine for business shirts or very basic, standard cleaning if no other cleaners is convenient.
