TLDR: expensive, slow, low-quality repairs…read more Roughly 6 months ago I had my shoes repaired here I had a terrible experience. I was inspired to finally write this review because the sole of my shoe has since fallen clean off so my frustration is renewed. I'm no expert, but I don't think 6 months should be the lifespan of a shoe repair. I brought in a pair of oxford docs to be polished and resoled. Notably, there was a crack in the midsole that I requested they repair (I was hoping that they would replace the whole sole but literally just some glue would suffice). They charged me nearly 100 dollars, did not offer me a receipt, and told me they'd call me in about 2 weeks when they were finished. Two weeks came and went and they did not call. So I called them. They stated they did not have any shoes matching my description and asked for information from the receipt (which they never gave me!). Eventually they did find my shoes, but they took another week contact me again. When they did, they told me they had finished my shoes but used the wrong sole, so they would have to redo them. When I finally went in to pick them up, they had totally ruined the finish (gross, thick, gelatinous looking polish), didn't even resole the shoe. They had simply glued new treads on and entirely ignored the crack. I understand that docs can be tricky to resole properly but if they were not able to do what I asked for then they should have a) been up front and b) not charged me 100 dollars. I really regret not saying something....

I would never recommend. I took a pair of boots in a couple months ago and the service was…read morehorrible. When I retrieved my boots, one of the shoe laces had been cut and was tied back together... Not only that, but there were other parts of the shoe lace which looked purposely worn down. The leather and an eyelet had been cut into as well; I suspect there was a slip of a tool which cut the shoelace and the shoe leather. The other shoe was fine. I told the man who was there, whom I assume to be the owner, that the shoelaces were never broken and were not worn out when I brought them in. I tried to use logic and compare the worn shoelace to the unworn shoelace on the other boot. He argued with me, claiming that I must have taken them hiking and broke the shoe lace. When I told him that I do not take these boots hiking, he then told me I must have tripped off of a sidewalk to ruin the laces. He then tried to sell me laces from the store. When I wore the shoes, I noticed the insides to be warped. After a week of wearing the "repaired" shoes, the heels started to come apart again. I understand mistakes happen, but this was a poorly done job and I was lied to. Please save your loved shoes by going elsewhere.

I brought 2 pairs of nice boots in, 1 for suede stains and 1 for a basic cleaning. They told me it…read morewould cost $35 for them to "try" to remove my suede stains. I turned that down and asked them to just complete the basic cleaning for the other pair of boots which cost me $10. They said it would be ready in a week and they would call when it's ready. A week and a half later I still hadn't heard anything so I called to inquire and I got a rude response for not having my ticket on hand for the store owner to retrieve the boots. Overall, I was unimpressed with the customer service and communication on their behalf. I couldn't believe the attitude I was getting for THEIR mistake of not calling me in the first place. The shoes were cleaned fine (not great) but I will not be taking any of my items back there, nor do I recommend anyone else to do so.
