    Beef shawarma is delicious!
    Anna F.

This lovely spot in Wynwood is a rare gem. A place where you can score a divine meal without draining your wallet. I tried the beef shwarma, which was a juicy delight. The fries it came with were crispy perfection. The walls of mismatched prints and Mediterranean colors add to the places charm. The service was impeccable. I am already dreaming of my next visit.

Had an incredible lunch at Lira today! The food, the hospitality, the entire experience... PERFECTION. We started with the mint lemonade, which was absolutely divine- bright, refreshing, and the perfect start. Then we chose a bunch of apps: The FATTOUSH was honestly the best I've ever had anywhere (aside from my boyfriend's homemade salad) . The LIRA LABNEH was another standout: mixed with Lebanese olives, walnuts, garlic, and parsley. Creamy, tangy, and super addictive! We also had the WARAK ENAB (stuffed grape leaves), the MUHAMMARA, and the GRILLED HALLOUMI & WATERMELON, and BATATA HARRA (similar to the Spanish "Patatas Bravas") and they were ALL spectacular and full of flavor. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, they brought out a beautiful platter of CHICKEN SHAWARMA and CHICKEN TAWOUK, both outstanding. Even the FRIES were amazing! Finished with the trio of VEGAN GELATO (date, pistachio, and dark chocolate) and every flavor was perfect. Ahmed's hospitality was truly next level. This is Arab hospitality at its finest: genuine, generous, and unforgettable. He's warm, gracious, full of amazing stories, and sets such a beautiful tone for the restaurant. Our waitress Candela was lovely, too: attentive, friendly, and so sweet. Honestly, everyone we interacted with there was great. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, and the music is incredible... the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay all afternoon. I can't say enough about Lira. I left happy, very (very) full, and so grateful for places like this. Already planning my return!

The food and service was great. I think the portions are a bit small for the price but overall very delicious food. I think the middle eastern decor and music added the perfect touch to the experience. My favorite was the decorative pillows with Arabic writing on them along with some old school music I recognized. Great place for a date night or family dinner.

I'm not sure about the Mediterranean cuisine scene in Miami just yet but I thought this place was good. I had the cutter and it felt overpriced for what it was but I'll say the owner is very kind and gave us wine tastings the outside seating is really nice so really appreciated that I'll be coming back to enjoy the restaurant more.

This was my first time having Lebanese food! The service was great! They did have someone who didn't speak English that came to our table a few times (Spanish only) so it was difficult communicating with him. The waitress explained many of the dishes to us so we could make our selection. She was kind and attentive to us. I had beef dishes that were excellent. I tried the hummus -cilantro - lacking flavor, but nice and clean. Overall, I would definitely visit here again .

we came here for dinner and had a wonderful time! alicia helped us out and she was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. she gave us great recommendations on drinks, appetizers, and food and did not steer us wrong. there's also a sweet surprise for first timers--ask about it the first time you come here, and you definitely should come here because it's delicious! don't miss the dip trio, especially during happy hour. absolutely insanely tasty, and the beef shawarma entree was spiced perfectly. the restaurant has a cute garden outside and the inside is cozy and inviting. we recommend sitting on the benches if possible, the pillows and cushions are super comfy. if you can, ask for alicia! she was fantastic and if we lived closer then we would definitely be back regularly for all of our special occasions.

Very tasty beautifully presented Lebanese food! Went with a few friends and got the family sharing menu (not sure if it's still available), which has sharing portions of a bunch of their dips, appetizers/small plates, and a tray of grilled meats. Once we started they just kept bringing out plates one by one. The dips were excellent, the beet hummus was creamy and light pairing perfectly with the pita, the eggplant dip was a bit smoky and savory, and the original hummus was delicious. The warak enab (stuffed grape leaves) were a bit more acidic than I expected but still very well put together. The batata harra were crispy outside and a bit fluffy inside, smashed to maximize the crisp and with a sweet savory slightly spicy sauce that really elevated it although a bit salty. One of my favorites was the fried halloumi, little bites of fried salty cheesy halloumi goodness complemented perfectly by a sweet honey balsamic sauce. By the time the meat came out we were already pretty full, but persevered. The chicken, beef, and kofta (ground meat) kebabs were all well seasoned with a nice char pairing well with the rice and onion salad, although the portion of meat between the four of us could have been a bit more generous. All in all, the food at Lira is fresh, tasty, and well presented topped off with good service and a small but inviting atmosphere. The price point for the amount of food and meat wasn't super impressive, but otherwise the food was great and I would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes!

I wish I could add more stars. This is the best Lebanese food I have ever had. The hummus, kibbe and muhmmara are beyond belief!

Mint lemonade... a must try Sunday brunch
    Annie S.

Great Sunday brunch place if you're in Miami! Tried this place on a Sunday afternoon upon recommendation from a friend in town as we were craving middle eastern food. Sure hit the spot! Outside seats for Sunday brunch also included live music. Super friendly & accommodating staff & service. Food was flavorful & fresh. We tried the trio hummus as appetizers. Lamb chops, Shakshouka , Shawarma...all good! The mint lemonade was super refreshing . We even took it to go. The only negative was the location and street parking.

    Prosecco at the outside tables

Really really enjoyed my meal here! I came for miami spice and it's one of the best Miami spices I've been to in terms of amount of food and quality. The setting is lovely. I'd recommend sitting outside. I went on a Tuesday and I think they weren't expecting a huge office party so I will say the service was extremely slow. But the food was wonderful! Would recommend getting a mix of dips -- muhammara, labneh, hummus, with great pita. Fattoush the octopus was good but a small portion. And the beef shawarma was delicious -- cinnamony and a huge portion. For dessert they have baklava and an assortment of dairy free ice creams (pistachio, date, etc)

Love this place ...food is amazing. Not pricey. They serve a perfect portion. Very fresh and very tasty. Recommend the cilantro and red pepper hummus. Absolutely delicious. And recommend the beef kabob. They also have good selection of Lebanese wines to choose from. Service was excellent. And place is super cute. Highly recommend it.

For context, I worked in fine dining in New York and Miami for almost 20 years, so I notice the details immediately, hospitality, management presence, the energy of a room. You can usually tell pretty quickly what kind of operation you're dealing with. We were a party of five. I arrived with my four-year-old son and was greeted warmly by the hostess. That warmth ended instantly. Standing directly behind her were two managers in suits blocking the main entrance. Both looked straight at me and my child and said absolutely nothing. No hello, no smile, no acknowledgment. Anyone in hospitality knows that moment sets the tone. As an Arab woman who grew up around a culture where hospitality is everything, it was already a bad sign. We were seated outside and the vibe stayed cold. Unfortunately, the food matched it. We ordered a lot because I genuinely wanted to give the kitchen a fair shot. I grew up eating Lebanese food and what stood out most was the lack of soul. Everything felt flat, like it needed salt, lemon, brightness, that warm Mediterranean seasoning Lebanese food is known for. The tabouli was especially shocking. A $20+ tabouli with no bulgur that was so roughly chopped it was basically whole parsley leaves and slices of onion. Any Lebanese auntie would die at the sight of it. At one point I asked our server if they had harissa or any kind of spicy sauce. She said the only option was Sriracha. In a Lebanese restaurant that charges $18 for a tablespoon of hummus. An Asian chili sauce as the only option. What made it even stranger is that harissa is listed on multiple dishes on the menu, so it clearly exists somewhere in the building. I asked for the Sriracha anyway out of desperation for flavor. It never came. Same with ketchup for my toddler's fries, it took three requests. Throughout the meal I walked around the restaurant several times taking my son to the bathroom, looking around the space, even going upstairs to the lounge. Not a single person acknowledged us. Not a host, not a server, not a manager. The bar is right by the entrance and every time we looked over at the bartender and bar manager, just blank stares. At one point we were clearly standing there confused looking for the bathroom in an empty restaurant and still had to say "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Wild. Later I walked up to the bar myself to ask if they carried mezcal. After dinner I went back to order one. Same energy--zero warmth, zero engagement. And this is with an automatic 20% gratuity already on the bill. The mezcal was a $25 two-ounce pour and I still had to ask for an orange slice garnish because no one offered it. Empty bar, two people behind it, and I still had to request it. Also worth noting, our reservation was at 5:45pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Yet I didn't see a single manager walking the floor, greeting tables, or checking on guests. I had talked this place up to my party because I'd been so curious about it for years, and it was honestly a huge letdown. If you know Lebanese food and understand Middle Eastern warmth and hospitality, this probably isn't the place for you. Expect cold, almost nonexistent hospitality and food that feels stripped of the soul that makes Lebanese cuisine special. The space is beautiful. I'll give them that. Everything else felt like a very on-brand Miami disappointment, what happens when you give people a beautiful restaurant, expensive food, automatic gratuity, and no leadership. From the lack of authenticity and attention to detail, it's hard to believe anyone truly Lebanese is behind this operation. If anything, it feels more like a polished money grab. Honestly, it might have been less jarring if they just called themselves "Mediterranean" like so many other places in this city. But if you're going to call yourself a Lebanese restaurant, the culture and hospitality should actually be there.

I tried the Moroccan Mojito, which was so refreshing. To eat, we tried the Shawarma Sushi and $1 chicken wing. The Shawarma Sushi name can be a bit misleading. It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. They may have been the best chicken wing I've had. The service was excellent. I accidentally dropped my cocktail and they immediately cleaned it up and moved us to another clean table. I apologized for dropping it but not once did they made me feel bad about it. Instead, one of the staff stated it was an indication of having a great time. They also replaced my drink at no extra cost. A guy, who I assumed was the manager or owner, also passed by our table and ensured we were enjoying our time. Our server mistakenly brought me the wrong drink that I ordered, but I did not mind it because I actually loved the Moroccan Mojito and instead ordered another one. I also loved how they have copper cups because it makes water taste so much better. Their attention to small details like that makes the difference. Overall, I felt so welcomed and definitely have to return for more chicken wings.

Mediterranean (specifically Lebanese) food is perhaps my favorite on this planet, but this place severely disappointed. I want to start off with the good. Nice, friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. And all the sides we had were great. Now, the bad. We got the beef shawarma, and it was ok. The shawarma itself was largely bland, and just tasted like cut up steak bites with no flavor. However, that's not the worst part. I had an absolutely nauseating experience with the arayes, which is one of my favorite dishes that I make at home from time to time too. It smelled like cigarettes, gasoline, and death. I don't know how else to describe it. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was, I assume lamb, and I've had experience with lamb that had gone bad in the fridge, and the texture was very reminiscent. I hope that's just a coincidence, and the smell was from another source. More so than the texture, again, the smell was enough to make us gag, and I have a strong stomach. I'd give lower, but I was treated fairly, and that would feel unfair. Thankfully, I'm not in this area that much, but I hope I just got unlucky and everyone else had and will continue to have good experiences here.

For dessert we had baklava and a hot cheese dish I don't recall the name of and coffee. Everything was fingerlicking spectacular! Will def be coming back for more!
