This little delightful place was new to my husband and me. It was a bit difficult to find, tucked into one of Biscayne Boulevard's MIMO hotels. We chose to try it for a light dinner. Billed as Turkish-Greek, its decor is totally Turkish; the menu is mostly Turkish; and the women working there are Turkish - some not even speaking English if you have a question! We were greeted with the usual olive oil and warmed pita tips. Very nice. We chose appetizers and were not equally wowed. The muhammara was good, but served without more pita. Disappointing. My husband tried the stuffed grapeleaves. I suspect they were taken from a can, not homemade. I asked if they could grill the calamari, to avoid fried food. The chef kindly complied, but it needed more cooking. I'm glad other reviewers enjoyed their choices and had complimentary tea or wine. read more

Amazing food!! Today was my first time eating here with my family . We ordered hummus and the pita bread was warm and fresh, also the salmon was the best, it was fresh and grilled to perfection. I had to ask for the name of the chef his name is Tony, I want to thank them for the great service and the Turkish tea. I'm giving them a 10 overall. read more

Meze is a beautiful place in Mimo! The food is great we love the sample platter and the delicious bread, I wish it was pita but their bread is pretty good. Meze is a solid good spot. Simple yet flavorful! The ambiance is nice and cozy making you feel like you're in a little cafe. The food was fresh and delicious. The e highly recommend the domales, the Turkish meatballs and grilled chicken kebab. I think the true star was the tzatziki. The ambiance was good. We sat outside since it was pleasant. I love the Service. We ordered muhammara since we love garlic and walnut. I did not see any pomegranate dressing ( maybe it might have been mixed) I did not enjoy it very much. Not to my liking. We also ordered chicken kebab, and we lovedd it. The rice and chicken was too good. I have never eaten something like this before. And we ordered shakshuka( eggplant curry which was cold) . It was good too , not great but good. Nice, friendly place with authentic Turkish food. On the same grounds as The Biscayne Hotel- near the old Blue Collar restaurant Tiny spot, with limited parking in the hotel- additional parking behind the building. The indoor part didn't feel like it had air conditioning- we sat outdoors. I found it a bit overpriced for the portions- no alcohol for purchase but, they will give you a complimentary glass of wine. The food was great. Portion sizes were adequate. The service was good. They had the door open when we arrived and I was a bit surprised because it was a pretty warm Miami day. However, as the restaurant got more crowded they closed the door and turned on the A/C. A few notes: they do not sell alcohol but if you BYOB they will uncork and allow you to drink it there. I don't know if there's an uncorking fee. They do have coffee but no decaf. I would return if back in that area. read more

I'm very critical and I'm used to being disappointed so I was very surprised by our first three dishes. The baba ghanoush was excellent with a great smoked flavor that lots of places don't know how to achieve. It needs to be roasted in direct contact to an open flame , without that contact even on a grill it won't be smoky. The Shakshuka which in North African and Israeli cuisine is poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce but this is a Turkish version which was roasted eggplant peppers and onions in a tomato sauce similar to Caponata but without capers and without the bitterness that it can often have from the wine vinegar. I found it really flavorful and balanced and the eggplant was cooked enough to be soft and silky. Restaurants often undercook eggplant and it's rubbery. The third dish was cheese Saganki which was one of the better versions I have had including those I've experienced in Greece. The cheese was very flavorful but not overly salty and not greasy which is usually the case. The cheese also had a very nice soft but crispy edge crust on it. Immediately upon seating they bring a house made Turkish bread which was good and worked well with all the Meze. In my opinion there's no such thing as a five star restaurant just five star dishes and almost no restaurant hits a home run on every dish. The spanakopita was not crispy and was not flaky from multiple layers of Filo dough like I would expect but the spinach and feta filling had good flavor and in its own way that somewhat elastic pastry was satisfying. It was decent but not exceptional I would give it a B. The Greek salad which I would expect to be good here fell short. Of course the tomatoes were out of season and were firm without much flavor, they would've been better off using flavor bomb cherry tomatoes or there's a Canadian company that grows even more flavorful Cherry tomatoes with a brix level of 10. The feta was too salty and they should've used Dondoni brand or even the French Valbreso brand. The red onions were sweet and not hot which can ruin a dish so I was happy about that. My biggest complaint was that the dressing was not good, I didn't taste any olive oil and for this dish to be successful you need good olive oil. I gave the restaurant five stars because the first three dishes were so good and authentic which is rare to find and I want this place to succeed. I will go back and try the Bronzino and see if they have any skill dealing with fish. read more

This place suck. We order Branzino fish which was undercooked with no spices on the inside, although it required 30 min cooking ahead. Full of bones, undercooked inside, mushy. Greek salad full of onions and peppers no single leaf. Very expensive on a top of it. We done a lot, worse fish and Greek place I've dine in. Chef should get fired! save your money! read more
