Thanks Lindsay for all the knowledge about products to use on my forever straight hair, this lady right here is AMAZING! I have hair that is so straight nothing works on it, I have tried so many different products! But with her knowledge we found something that finally worked when giving my hair some volume, also! Thanks for the tips on new shampoo and conditioner. I will be coming back for a hair cut the next time I stop by Texas. Thanks again Lindsay!! read more

UPDATE- Immediately after my review, she sent a threatening message. Quoted: "Kaylee, you left my chair happy and even made a video saying how pleased you were. If you continue to harass me or my business, I will contact Westlake Derm and make them aware of the situation, including the comments you made about their staff. I was respectful to you throughout your appointments, even when the conversations were difficult. Please stop contacting me. If this continues, I will take further action." WORST STYLIST! STAY AWAY! On August 28, Lindsay quoted me $300 for a haircut and color (a "mini"). On September 5, she convinced me to pay $375 for what she called a "FULL" service to achieve the look I wanted. What I received were three or four uneven, thick, damaging highlights and a haircut. She curled my hair before I left to make it appear presentable, but the next day the reality was clear: 3 highlights on the right, none on the left, and a harsh line where brown met blonde. I sent photos to other stylists, who said it was nowhere near a full service or even a mini service. On September 11, I paid another stylist $228 to fix Lindsay's work. The second stylist confirmed that Lindsay's highlights were too thick and any additional correction would only cause more damage. Lindsay never provided a receipt or documentation. She denied a refund and offered only a "touch-up." I initially requested a full refund, then suggested a partial refund or a respectful resolution, acknowledging she had used time and products. I was not comfortable with her working on my hair a second time. She ignored my calls and texts, and later blocked me when I asked her to remove my photos from her social media. These posts misrepresented the work as complete and successful. I was not a happy client and I did not consent to her using my images because it was not an accurate representation. I'll ask again as I did before: "Hi Lindsay, I was really unhappy with the service. Please remove the photos. Thank You." From the start, Lindsay displayed unprofessional behavior, even commenting, "Wow, I thought the girl before you was bad," in reference to my hair. She also knew I was on a budget, yet when I suggested a partial refund, she made a dismissive comment about finances, showing a lack of professionalism and respect. Her site notes she charges 95% of the quoted price for late cancellations (72 hours) yet she pressured me for more money despite knowing my budget. Red flags were present from the beginning. She lacks professionalism, respect, and transparency, and will not complete the job as promised. I am not the first unhappy client she's had. I don't think I'm the first one she's blocked or removed. DO NOT HIRE LINDSAY BALAYAGE Words from other stylists who reviewed my hair: * "It looks maybe like a half-done partial." * "It looks like it's still all untouched underneath." * "She didn't do enough foils, leaving it dark and uneven. The back was darker than the front, the root shadow wasn't done correctly, and the hair was striped-looking." read more

I was looking for a balayage hair stylist and I found Lindsay on Instagram. I've been going to her for about 3 years now and it is always a wonderful experience. She is personable and a master at what she does. Lindsay listened to what I wanted but also made suggestions that were extremely valuable. My hair is naturally dark and at my first appointment I went to her with a brassy color that she magically transformed into a beautiful balayage. Making appointments was easy, which I did on her Instagram page @lindsaybalayage. I love that I leave with the exact look and color I want without having to stay at the salon all day, especially since I have long and thick hair. Lindsay is the best and I highly recommend her! read more

It is not often that I get my hair done. In fact, it has been well over 2 years since I had a hair cut at all. Moving to Austin has been an eye opening and life changing experience for me! Lindsay is so talented! I am always so hesitant to do much with my hair because I have had it messed up in the past, but Lindsay has that magic touch. First I tried her for a trim, to feel her out, then I got a balayage once I knew she really knew what she was doing. She is amazingly skilled and SO sweet. I didn't even want to leave after my appointment finished because I just wanted to hang out with her more Definitely give her a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

When I first sat in Lindsay's chair, my hair was extremely broken and damaged from years of bleaching and wearing hair extensions. I really thought I'd have to cut it in a pixie to get my hair looking healthy again. Lindsay worked her magic and gave me realistic expectations on the steps needed to start regrowing my hair along with recommendations for the correct product line to use that help repair the damage and prevent future breakage. She is one of the BEST hair professionals out there and I completely trust and HIGHLY recommend her! Pictures below from when I first sat in her chair and then an after photo! Literally a miracle! Thank you so much for all your help Lindsay! read more

I was very excited to try someone new close & to me. She popped up on my IG and I saw her work and thought "Wow!" Long story short...Because I have a lot of hair and normally it takes more product. I always like to meet the stylist so they see my hair so I can have a realistic price and if my hair will grab the color I want. If a stylist is good I will pay for her work, no doubt! She wanted to charge me for a consultation which I didn't like (red flag) and when I told her I would be in and out she immediately said she would not take me as a client. Just like that! Super rude. There was no need for that. No thanks. read more
