I actually only go here to buy frames and don't ever get my eyes checked. I've been going to L.A. Optometrique for years but the frames here are just so much cheaper. I recently got a pair of Prada frames for about half what I would've gotten them at my optometry place. Plus, I get a discount from my eye plan. I've already picked out my next set of frames and will be down there to pick them up soon. Love this place simply for having a huge selection and being allowed to just grab a bunch of frames at a time and try them out. Remember to bring a friend. Everyone could use a second opinion when it comes to these things, especially when you have hundreds of choices. read more

My family and I have bought dozens of glasses here over the past 20+ years. We have never had any problem or even a wait. We do always work with the same helpful person which may help our experience go smoothly. I have also had several eye exams in order to get a prescription, and the optometrists have been professional, accurate and responsive. I have even been able to go as a walk-in exam albeit the wait as a walk-in does require patience. When I make an appointment ahead of time, I have not had a wait longer than 10 or so minutes. The selection of eye glasses is excellent. There is an enormous variety of style and price range. With the discounts for having insurance, the prices are good. The eye glass fitting when I pick up is excellent. With one difficult pair of new glasses three people helped get it perfect. I really enjoy visiting Linden, and I am happy with every pair of glasses that I have purchased. It helps a lot to go at a time that is not crowded and to listen a bit to the different staff talking in order to pick someone who is going to have the characteristics you are looking for. I'm not going to tell you who the best is because that person is so busy already. But if you pay attention, you will figure it out. If you figure out how this place works, then you will always have a great experience and benefit from the easy parking, extensive selection, terrific prices and quality product and service. If you don't like to figure things out, or feel that you are entitled to have your every convenience catered to, never wait, never call ahead, never make an appointment, never get to know any of the staff, then you will probably have an experience comparable to what you put into it. I will add the caveat that their optometrists did miss one of my family member's glaucoma. While Linden is a great place to get glasses, I do not recommend them as your only eye exam, especially as you get older. Also, if you have a particularly complex vision issue, you will most likely do better to find an optometrist through a personal recommendation. Been going here for around 15 years or so. Was never really thrilled with anything, often an aggravation, but the location and hours were convenient. Well, I am now done here. Already had the exam and went back for new glasses. Had the misfortune of sitting with "Stuart". Stuart gave me false info on my options under my plan, and tried to steer (force) me to go with another product that was not what I wanted. Apparently, something that they are promoting under arrangement. To me, that's dishonest. After I had spent an hour+ in the parking lot calling VSP to confirm the correct information, and VSP calling the office, the manager apologized for Stuart's "misinformation". I have another word for it, and they will not get any more of my business, especially with people like Stuart working there. read more

I was there for an exam on 1/7/2020, Dr Cook was great! The problem was with the woman who was measuring my pupils in the glasses (I guess that is what she was doing). She was very rude, she first told Katie "I'm busy, I don't have time", but she came to me anyway. She rudely said "put these on and look ahead", she drew this line with a sharpie across each lens and pulled the glasses off of me. I told her I had picked out the frames a few days ago and now the frames seem kinda loose. She said "those are off the wall, don't worry, I'm ordering you a new frame" and walked away with my glasses leading me to the cashier. I could describe her, but its not my intention to "shame" her as she did me! Overall I love this place, just not too pleased with her attitude. read more

I've been coming to Linden for about 5 years now. Whether it's for new glasses or repair current ones. I always recommend this place to friends and family. The frame selection is nice. Different styles colors and brands. Suitable for those looking for low budget frames to expensive designer brands. Drive thru also available for fast pick up service. The staff is great. Always helpful. And every time I've came here, the wait for an exam has been ni longer than 15 mins. Good timing from me I'm assuming since people say it takes long to get help. The last 2 times I came to get new glasses I've had to come back the following day because my glasses were not available on hand and/or the time to finish then was not enough on the day of. This is my first time to go to an Optometry because I thought my eye sight can last forever, but there are times things are blurry for me. Anyways enough of my eye sight let's check the experience. Linden Optometry is at Pasadena area near the Old Town. Parking is at the back for an hour which is good but gets crowded if you go a bit later than 12pm. The ambiance is like half store half hospital feeling with all the different glasses around. Appointment is available online that really saves time. After all the wait filling up forms, some test and seeing the doctor for your prescription glasses(like an hour or two, depends on how busy) then give it a week(if you have insurance) or an hour if you are paying it with cash upfront without insurance. There are a lot of popular brands like Nike, Oakley, Ray ban, and more. For me the service is good and fast. As of right now, I am back to HD eye sight with my new glasses! read more

This was my first time at Linden Optometry and I am so happy that I chose to go here for my eye exam and to purchase glasses. I have been putting both off for about a year now as my eyesight was progressively getting worse, but my first experience with an optometrist was negative (not here at Linden), so I just didn't want to try again. However, I was referred here so I decided to take a chance. I got an appointment within the week, which was nice considering Covid restrictions. I waited about 20 minutes to see the optometrist, which was ok because I took the time to look at glasses. I saw Dr. Chan and I AM IN LOVE WITH HER. She explained everything she did in detail, she explained why, what she was seeing. She asked all the right questions. I told her I am a full time student as well as a full time nurse so she made suggestions on glasses based on my needs, which I personally needed and welcomed. She explained the difference in both of my eyes and what that meant for my glasses and what we could do, what I needed vs. what I could do for convenience. I just felt like I was educated and had choices which is exactly what I was looking for. After the exam, Faye helped me with my glasses. Also super helpful, friendly, and suggestive when it came to sizing and fit. I appreciate input and she was knowledgable, friendly, and funny. To top it off, Leah helped me through the whole process from checking in to checking out and just making sure it all ran smoothly. I felt really well taken care of, educated, and satisfied as I left Linden Optometry. I even made an appointment for my husband and plan to refer everyone and anyone I know that needs an eye exam or glasses to these wonderful humans because I think everyone needs to feel this kind of care. I came here to get my eyes checked and get prescriptions for both glasses and contacts. Although the business hours are great as well as the wide selection of glasses, I hate the fact that I have to come back for a follow up appointment before they release my prescription for contacts. I didn't find this out until AFTER the fact I was already paying. As a new mother, finding the time to go to the optometrist is already a difficult task but to have to come back AGAIN just to have them release my contact presciption for which, I have already paid for, is ridiculous. For someone like me having very bad myopia and astigmatism since childhood, I have evey sensitive eyes and I get headache from eye glasses not perfectly fitted. Referred by a friend to Dr. Emily Linden more than 10 years ago, My eyes have been taken care of since. On top of the yearly eye check up and new glasses, Dr. Linden diagnosed my retinal detachment issue in the early stage and referred me to USC for laser treatment. Recently prescribed a yellow tint glasses to help my driving in early morning and at night. Highly recommend Dr. Linden. Dr Muradian is an excellent provider. I have been a patient as well as my son at this Optometrist office and have seen other providers for about 3-5yrs. I saw de Muradian this year for my routine exam as well as for my son, her care and professionalism is by far the best I've had and hope to continue to see her. She completed DMV forms for my son driving test on a timely manner and has been available as needed, which is very appreciated. Linden does have a large selection of glasses to choose from which is also great. Staff is always friendly and courteous. All in all I'm am happy with the overall all care. read more

Do not...I repeat...do not go here . Expensive , not very well staffed...and you wait for hours to pick up your glasses. They were over an hour late for my appointment and then I had to come back three times to pick up my glasses. They make you take a number to pick up your glasses and then sit there and wait for hours. Plus they hustle you and try to always up-sell . The optometrists also rush you and are rude. I recently received my glasses prescription here, but ordered my glasses from an online retailer. When I received my glasses in the mail, something was off with the vision. I came here and had a walk-in appointment at the small lab to see if they can help. I was helped by a wonderful woman named Anny. It was close to their closing time, but she assisted me to make sure that I left satisfied. She answered all my questions, ran small tests and helped with some minor glasses adjustments. I was lured to this place by the AMAZING selection of frames and the friendly and attentive (sales driven) service by ONE of the representatives: FEY; little did I know that just like in HORROR MOVIES the beautiful enticing was about to become a major nightmare. First they make me get TWO pairs of glasses. Which was the first time I had ever heard of something like this. But I thought: okay, maybe my vision is getting worse. $1,200 after, they told me that the 2 frames I had chosen had to be special ordered, and they tried to convince me to take the USED floor models. It's been 6 months, 3 re-checks and about 6 visits. And all I can tell you is that I'm still here, sitting, writing this review waiting to get either my glasses or my money back. I have been going to Linden Optometry for the past three years, and I have yet to be disappointed. They have a huge selection of glasses and sunglasses, and every doctor I've seen has been great. Even though I no longer live in Pasadena, I will continue to drive out there for my eye exams/glasses/contacts because the service is always great. It can be pretty packed on the weekends, but I don't mind it too much. As long as you make an appointment in advance, you should be fine. And for someone who has been caught running late on more than one occasion, I appreciate that they have a 15 minute grace period. Especially since I don't live 5 minutes away anymore, I really appreciate it since it's hard to come by during the week. read more

I scheduled an appointment as a new patient and received email confirmation for a 7:50 AM appointment. Since that would mean minimal missed time at work I took the time without thinking twice. Turns out they don't open until 9:00 am and I ended up being late to work. I was turned away at the locked door by some employees in early without even an apology. I had heard bad things about Linden like serious overbooking but decided to give them a try because they are only a couple blocks from me. It is a garbage company that deserves all the one star reviews that they have received here and does not deserve your business when there are so many other options in the area. I called in to ask about what had happened and make sure I would not be charged and talked to the receptionist who had scheduled my erroneous appointment. Not even an apology and all she did was confirm that "they" had scheduled me for 8:00 am when they are not open. read more

I had to go in an emergency this time because my last contact ripped at work. I appreciate that these guys stay open late. I phoned at about 6:30 pm and wasn't sure how bad the traffic would be, but the receptionist assured me that they would hold the door open for me if I could get there by 8 pm. Tanya (attractive lady with an accent) in the Contact Lenses Department helped me and was very gracious in assisting me. She acted as though I was the first customer of the day, not the last one! It's quite convenient if you live nearby. The hours are convenient. Open 7 days a week. They are willing to adjust your lenses until they are comfortable. But shouldn't they be the right prescription and cut correctly the FIRST time you get it? The quality of the Doctors are hit or miss. There were errors in my prescription that the second doctor I saw was able to adjust. The person who first checked my insurance told me I had one insurance when I was sure I had another. When the second person couldn't look me up, I told them the correct insurance. So that wasted some time. But overall, it wasn't too bad of a wait on the weekend. The worst part of the whole experience was the Optician. She didn't answer any of my questions and talked over me. She wouldn't give me a discount until I showed it to her on a smartphone, on their website. She had to take my phone and check with a manager. Wow this place just keeps getting better. This is my 2nd review done on this place in the past few months. I was hoping to be done with this circus but unfortunately there rip off methods brought me back again. Well 2 weeks ago I noticed a chip and some scratches on my lenses, I thought the chip was a piece of dirt or something. so I started to clean them and noticed it was still there, I said oh no here we go again with this place. So I place a call to the great customer service team of linden and tell them the problem and I needed to bring the glasses in for them to be fixed, they responded that they are not excepting appointments for that. Again my phone was thrown across the room, like I done in the past with this place. I don't no how this place stays in business. So I told the rep, hey I paid for non scratch lenses and if I had anymore scratches on my glasses they would be bleeding. Now I am a 55 year old active man who likes to stay in shape. But believe me I ain't doing backflips or scaling mountains or jumping out of airplanes with my glasses on. These people pounded me with questions., I was like really, you guys messed up on these glasses on 3 different occasions and you want to put me through this again. So they put me on hold for 5 minutes and come back with oh our next appointment is March 15th. I said really, just to drop off a pair of glasses so you can then send out for 6 weeks and probably mess that up too. I tell you if I did not want these clowns to do there job and fix the the problem they tried to rip me off on, I would take them to any optometrist to get fixed. We have a roommate who is slightly mentally challenged and is on a fixed income. She asked that I write this review. She has regular eye glasses from Linden, but recently, the screw that attaches the bow to the main frame fell out. It's a fairly small screw, but, try as she could, she was not able to locate it. The bow and the frames are fine, just the small screw is missing. She took them back to Linden. The person she spoke with advised her that it would cost $99 to repair and the she is just better off getting a new set of frames ! So, not knowing any better, she got the new frames. When she got home, I advised her that we can still fix the original pair with a $5.00 eyeglass repair kit from 7-11. (Kit has various size screws and a small screwdriver). Needless to say she was quite furious and felt taken advantage of. read more

I recently went to Linden Optometry for my annual eye exam and contacts. I have been going there for over 15 years. Now that I am getting into my mid-40s I have found that I need reading glasses which are a pain to have to carry around. At Linden's, I met Dr. Lernik Mesropian for the first time. After discussing my eye issues she had me try different types of lenses to see if I could get rid of the reading glasses. Although I eventually went back to the reading glasses, I was impressed at how knowledgeable Dr. Mesropian is and how she listened to my needs versus just staying with the current or pushing me into something I didn't want. I have never requested a specific doctor at Linden's over the years but I will now. Hopefully this review doesn't make it difficult for me to get an appointment with Dr. Mesropian. The one thing negative about Linden Optometry (and it is a big one) is the length of time for an exam, glasses and/or contacts. It is at least two (2) hours from start to finish which is absolutely brutal. As a result, a few years ago I left and went to other optometrists. However, they just couldn't get the correct fit for contacts and so, I am back. If the office visit was not as long this would have been a five-star review. Also, I always make an appointment for my exam but have found that walk-ins seem to get done at the same time or faster than me. Don't understand that. Nevertheless, great service and prices make this a recommend. read more

Again - after 5 visits they put the wrong lenses in my glasses - expensive glasses - done with this place - several other issues - Lens Crafters here we come - Wish there was a 1/2 star rating - not that they care - I don't think they give a squat about Yelp! So I return again, they tell me that they can replace my lenses under warranty- they call me 2 days later to tell me that the lenses were already replaced once - THEY WERE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY PUT THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION IN THE FRAMES 3 - THREE - TIMES! THEIR MISTAKE- While I was there, I found 2 pairs of Oakley frames that I really wanted, verified they were $0 after insurance coverage- just praying that they put the right lenses in the 1st time - and replace the lenses they messed up last time! read more

I don't even want to give this place one star. This place totally SUCKS! I have gotten a total of four pairs of glasses, and they have not gotten one pair correct. I like bifocals - not progressive. That is my prerogative. But they all treat me like I'm crazy to want bifocals. I had even asked about trifocals at one point and that person said they didn't make them. I found out later that they do. 1st Pair: I had to have them redone once. They had the bifocal part wrong. 2nd pair: I had to have them redone once. They had put completely the wrong prescription in. 3rd Pair (sunglasses): I had to have them redone TWICE, and they're still not quite right. The first time I went to pick them up they were scratched, the second time they were the wrong prescription. And the third time they made them progressive by mistake. At this point I was so tired of it all I decided to try them just so I didn't have to go back there again. 4th Pair (computer/reading): They put in the wrong prescription. I have to bring them back tomorrow. They made it it set for "intermediate" which I specifically explained over and over was not my "computer" distance. They kept trying to tell me the same thing. I don't know about you, but I don't work with my computer 3 feet away. On top of all these mistakes, they have lost my file several times and told me that I'd have to get my eyes checked again. They've also lost the frames about 4 times. Every time I leave, I mark down the tray number which helps a little in finding them the next time around. But sometimes they put it in a different tray. Twice my frames were lost "upstairs". What does that mean? Once they had sold the frames to someone else and had to reorder a new pair for me (not in stock anymore of course). Their filing system makes no sense. Just look at the stacks of frames behind the sit-down counter. The trays are in no particular order - no numbering system at all - no system distinguishing "pick up" from "to be made" as far as I can tell. They certainly spend a lot of time finding them each time. Some of the people are very nice there. Some are really bitchy, like the Phillipino woman. Last time I had her, she kept telling me that there was a difference between progressive and bifocal (Duh! Hello! I wasn't born yesterday!). I was trying to explain to her that my prescription was wrong. She wouldn't listen so I requested to talk with someone else. Many of the people don't know jack. They don't give out consistent info from person to person and some just say anything that comes to mind to shut me up. There have been a few very helpful people though, less than a handful. I wish that I had started keeping a record of all the wasted time I have spent there. The longest was 2 hours. I hate going there, waiting, drinking bad coffee, then getting NO service or screwed up service. I could at least take the abuse if I walked out with a pair of glasses that worked. Anyway, I know a few people have said in this post that they had a good experience. Well they're very lucky. DO NOT EVER GO THERE! I think there's a serious problem from the top down. The owner must be a real p***k who only worries about the bottom line. He treats his employees like crap. They treat the customers like crap, and they don't deliver. There's no sense of organization. I was recommended by a co worker to go to this place, i will suggest you DONT BOTHER WITH THEM Here is why 1) Extremely HIGH prices on contacts and lenses, even with my VSP insurance. For a year supply of Proclear Toric contact i paid $325dls the first year. The following year i went there for an eye exam, and decided to purchase my contacts online for about 120$ year supply. I called my insurance and they told me Linden had already used up all my funds!!! i Called them and they told me "We thought you were going order contact with us!!" After 20min or arguing they agree to reimburse my insurance, but it TOOK THEM 15Days!! and close to 10calls!! 2) Horrible Customer Service Note: Same some money and buy your glasses at zenit website an contacts at the lens website... I'm so hurt and upset at this place. I have giving Linden Optometrist so many chances to get it right and they just seem to now care. Here is what has taking place. I went in for my eye exam at the end of 2017 I was giving glasses however, the glasses made me feel.like I was floating or really tall and I'm already 6'2 go I didn't need any help in that area. Anyhow, I talk to the people that fit me foe.my glasses and they made it seem as if it was just in my bed with me feeling that way. I then asked to talk with a supervisor and he was good, then I talked with another supervisor which allowed for.me to.get reexames by the head Dr. Which he helped me but after him the ball was dropped. It's been since July Aug 2018 that I've been waiting for contacts. I called in Sept Oct to see if my contacts was ready and I was rudely told we will call you when they are ready. On 12/19 I received a post card that said they were ready. I called in and was told I ready picked them up, then I was told they are only for.your right eye, they I was told "we've tried getting in touch with you... I just got.to.the point where after 25 years of being with them I'm DONE! read more

Last week my wife and I paid a visit to Linden Optometry for an eye exam and new glasses. The fitting for glasses was handled by Stewart. He did a great job of ensuring that the glasses fit properly and were ordered with the items we requested. After several eyeglass exchanges and options we settled on the ones we preferred. Stewart was patient and never flinched he even found us a rebate! : ) Upon completion with him we proceeded to the checkout area where Rita took over. She was methodical in ringing up our bill and even went over it with us to show where there was a prior credit applied to save us money. They're always busy because they're efficient, prompt and have great deals. They regularly offer coffee and cookies at the waiting room. This was my first visit to Linden Optometry. I was working in the area for the week and had been forcing my vision for a while now since I lost my glasses. So I decided to schedule an appointment here. It was fairly easy as I did it all online through their website and with my email. I know that going to the Optometrist can be somewhat time consuming and the wait can be pretty annoying. Of course, waiting for any Doctor is kinda unpleasant. I did wait about 20 minutes to get taken in meanwhile I filled out paperwork and they checked my coverage. The tech did the pre tests on me and she was very nice. Then I was transferred to Dr. Dueñas office and he came in. He was the friendliest Dr. I've ever met, made me feel very comfortable because he was very personable. He thoroughly explained to me all the exams he did and even did a Glaucoma test because I have large Optic Nerves by nature. I'd been other places before and they never took that step. But he was just double checking and saved the image to compare with next years exam. Due to stress and forcing my vision my upper eyelid was having a spasm...so I was a bit worried about that. I'm glad he made me comfortable enough to ASK QUESTIONS about my health and he was happy to answer them and explain. I asked all the questions I had and felt better afterward. It took a bit longer than usual because he took the time to take care of me well. If you could tip doctors, I would have tipped him. But that would be kinda weird since he probably makes way more than I do. For those of you mad because sometimes the wait is long, remember that the World does not revolve around YOU. Some patients actually have some concerns with their vision and health and are not just there to get their checkup out of the way for the year. It's not easy to please everyone all of the time, but I was fortunate to have a Dr. that loves his job and does a great job making patients feel welcome. I'll definitely keep coming back to Dr. Dueñas and will refer anyone who needs an Eye Doc. read more

Linden has gotten better over the years-- or is it because I'm buying their exams? It took 3 docs & 5 visits to determine my prescription--which was totally bad ridiculous but since then I got 1 doc who is super great there, gets me in & out fast & has an A+ personality. Choosing glasses their still leads to some abandonment but it's for 10-20 minutes at a time, not for hours. Once you get through the glasses process the fitting is a breeze. Contact selection with my doc is also a breeze. I'd give it 5 stars if all areas were as great as the doc. Waiting times are long at times & not getting the help you need occurs but they've improved at least 60% since my last review &--mostly from one doc. He will pick me out of line if he sees me waiting what would normally be 30-60 minutes of waiting. Really super. What drives me batty is they don't stick to styles so every year I can't reorder the same frames but have to do it all over again since they will no longer carry the frames you loved prior--even 1-2 months prior after you just finished picking them out!--they claim to have no control over this. They serve crappy coffee & cookies while you wait-- much like a tire shop. Lovely & horrifying all at once--but they do have good magazines. Sometimes they will hook you up with a thing or two you need & sometimes not. What I do love is the contact solution samples they are often generous on these & the eye clothes are quality. What's kinda cool is for is Halloween the doctors dress up. You can get glasses a lot cheaper elsewhere-- but the selection is huge here and you can haven them fit to your face & redone if needed (happened once) & you can't get that online--plus they redo measurements on your face each time you get glasses--not accomplishing this online. As for contacts I'm sure it's the same senario but the contact lens experience is great. For a brick & mortar spot, this is it. read more

I have been going to linden optometry now for a couple of years and i have had excellent customer service. but that changed when i went to visit them on 9/26/15. I went to linden optometry in hopes of finding a new pair of frames,as i had accidentally sat on mines. We were greeted which was nice and did have to wait but not for too long. Once i was called i was helped by Fred. I told him what i wanted and he responded "why do you want to change them ? with an attitude" i told him why, but i was a bit shock by what he had already said. He asked what was my price range and i said like $100 and he laughed. I don't if he thought i couldn't afford it or not because he kept wanting to redirect me too the low end glasses. I was already pissed by that time because of his comments. He also asked me if i was in school and how hold i was. Which if he had looked into my records he should know. He didnt know how to explain things very clear which was very confusing because i didnt want to go over my budget. He told me it would cost $59 for the lenses and $25 for the frames. Which was okay because it was less than what i wanted to pay. But i did want some designer glasses but he didnt want me to look into those as he suggested himself that i could not afford it. I ended up choosing some a frame that i actually liked, he led me to the cashier and as she was scanning the frames she ends up telling me that my total was only $59. I was confused and mad at the same time because i could have chosen a better brand and quality frames but i honestly just wanted to leave at that point. As i was paying Fred said " Maybe you should come when your done with school that way you'll have more money". I had never experienced bad customer service at linden optometry but this employee took it too far. I still have to go pick my glasses so im hoping i have a better experience next time. read more

Tom Hart helping me again today. He's always so patient, kind and professional. He's one of the reasons I drive over 40 miles to get new prescription glasses and new sunglasses. Tom make sure my glasses fit and always give me a fair and honest opinion. This year he noticed I hadn't had my old glasses adjusted-it's been a busy year so he adjusted them for me. Linden is a larger optometry retail store but with employees like Tom it's like your visiting a mom and pop shop. My wife scheduled an appointment for my son to have an eye exam.. girl checking us in was rude even after I said my wife spoke with someone the day before to go over insurance info. Then at reception they expected me to know wife's social security off the top of my head.. after 15 minutes we left.. will never go back there again.. also when calling people learn how to say an easy last name! read more

Two stars because they DO have a large selection of over priced frames and because they are very COVID compliant. However, I will never return here again. I've been a loyal customer for 15 years and I can see the standards have gone way down. So they have tons of frames and they bamboozle you and you spend a fortune. No problem. I like my frames and I'm willing to pay. Came in last month for a pair of rx frames and lenses and rx sunglasses. I spent $700. The gals are very nice and accommodating until they get your money. I was told two week turnaround but perhaps three week. Ok fast forward to now (four weeks) and still nothing. I called and was told my insurance company is holding up my frames. I called my insurance company who said NOT TRUE. My ins co called them while I was on the phone and the gal told her they would call me to explain. Never did call me. So they essentially lied to me. I called them again to ask what is going on with my frames and the gal says they are "in the lab" and there is a delay. So I still don't have my glasses, they lied to me and they can't give me a time frame for when they will be ready. Never again will I give this place a single hard earned dollar of mine. read more

I rated them 1 only because I couldn't put a negative rating. My eye examination at Linden took place on Dec 9th, 2020. I picked out my frames and paid for them in full, almost $400.00 after copay and what insurance pays. My glasses didn't come back until February. 3 months later. When I went for the fitting I was not able to see with the new glasses. They caused my vision to feel crosseyed. The technician helping me checked the glasses and found the prescription was very wrong and sent the glasses back to be corrected. He said it was a place in North Hollywood and shouldn't take long. In the meantime my old glasses were all I had. On March 23, a nosepad fell off my only glasses and I called Linden to get it fixed. I had to make an appointment for 2 weeks later to do that repair. I hoped that my new glasses would come in before that repair date of March 5th, with no luck. I called for new glasses status beginning of April and again in end of April only to be given the same 'lip service' that they were still working on them. I finally asked for a refund. I think 6 months is long enough to wait for new glasses. My sister went to J.C. Penny and had new glasses in a week. I have never experienced such bad service from Linden Optometry. I am a long time customer, but not anymore. I will not use their services ever again. read more

I have been a customer 10 years but no more. 2019 brought my own glasses to add my prescription & paid $65 dollars.. On 5/22/21 took my OWN new glasses again to add prescription & person tried to rob me blind trying to charge me $170. When I questioned to itemize each fee, she was bothered & said charges so fast I could not understand.. I said I do not want any extra services, I just want my prescription added.. she said $85. Again I asked for itemization. Again irritated, she rushed through each charge, 1 being $15 for "frames".. I said, "why $15 for frames, I'm using my own frames?".. she replied, "yes, we are using your frames, that's $15 dollars... Total rip off.. never heard of such charge.. Place has a lot of frames and thus a lot of people. Both times I've been here I arrived early and had to wait longer than 1 hour past my time. You also lose the personal feel of going to an eye doctor. The staff is very nice but why put yourself through the long wait times and the factory type run you through as just a number when there are many other choices..:I know I won't make this mistake again.
