Let me preface this review by saying that I specifically sought this doctor out due to positive reviews from my PCP and an understanding that she would take my concerns related to endometriosis seriously. I recently visited Dr. Sodoma on March 31st, 2026. Her office staff are delights, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the lobby. I booked this appointment due to concerns related to endometriosis as I have a diagnosed and documented connective tissue disorder (hEDS), history of ruptured cysts and painful, heavy periods, as well as severe abdominal pain and inflammation that landed me in the ER. My PCP and the ER doctors also felt that I needed further investigation into endo, hence my FIRST gynecological visit. I also recently started going to doctors again due to my medical trauma of ignorance, distrust, and gaslighting due to my hEDS. I sent my scans to her office so she could review them before the appointment, but the MA or nurse let me know that she was actively looking over my documents right before entering my room. I sent them a week before. I have a phleb certificate, almost my bachelor's in health sciences, and am pursuing a masters in biomed diagnostics. A "rare" connective tissue disorder has also made my skills in research and comprehension of medical journals, studies, etc. very strong. I found certain things that concerned me and wanted to speak with a professional about this issue. I did not know who Dr. Sodoma was when she entered my room. She did not introduce herself at all, I just had to trust it wasn't some random person. Additionally, she sat in the corner, glued to typing the entire time. There is importance in documentation, but it just felt like she did not care about me as a person, but me as a case. She was dismissive, rude, continually interrupted me and did not listen to my wishes. She immediately recommended a birth control shot despite my strongly researched desire to actually investigate endo. She also couldn't explain the mechanism of action or risks of the shot. I knew what the shot did, but I asked if, Depo-Provera which is a progestin injection, stops ovulation. Verbatim, "No, not really". Might I add, from the Mayo Clinic, "Depo-Provera most often stops the ovaries from releasing an egg. So there's no ovulation"^1. Hm. I asked if I could consult with my orthopedic medical team as well as my mental health team first and she seemed annoyed. She put the order in anyways and told me to go into the office when I got it from the pharmacy to get the shot. She ordered an ultrasound, more bloodwork, and told me to schedule my well-woman check. She just left the room, and I did not understand what was happening. Should I grab my things? Are the blood tests now? In office? No explanations or anything from her, just short, rude responses. I was fighting tears through the entire appointment to still leave with no answers. Still in severe pain that impacts my ability to walk and eat, but "just get the shot!" It sucks because I really did love the ladies at the desk, but I really just felt like a paycheck and had my common experience in doctors; brush my concerns, research, etc. off because I don't have an MD and I'm "too young" to be in all of this pain. Dr. Linda Sodoma was very dismissive and impolite. She brushed off my recurrent infections with only a boric acid suggestion and dismissed my perimenopause symptoms entirely. She stated that she does not prescribe HRT unless I was in actual menopause. It is totally fine to start HRT in perimenopause so this is her personal preference not medically inappropriate. I left feeling unheard and unsupported not the care women deserve. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Sodoma for over a year now and my experience has continually gotten worse. Dr. Sodoma doesn't take my concerns seriously and our appointments always seem rushed. There are never questions or inquiries about what's going on or discussions towards my options. I always leave my appointment feeling frustrated and rushed and as if she only cares about receiving the payment vs making sure my concerns are addressed. The way she addresses any concerns I have makes me feel as though she's gaslighting and downplaying any concerns I have. I received Nexplanon through Dr Sodoma and during the initial consult she said I'd be receiving an injection for pain first and then nexplanon would be inserted into my arm. The day of I arrived and received no pain relief, she just came into the room and immediately inserted it and then made a remark of "see that wasn't so painful". She did not ask me how I was doing or even remember the pain relief. The office staff is lovely but communication seems to be poor. Recently I had to call the office to ensure I still had an appointment as I received no reminder through text or email about my upcoming appointment even though I had in the past. They also are moving offices soon and I received no update about that either. I do, however, continue to receive announcements and reminders about billing. I am astounded she has so many good reviews with her lack of empathy towards her clientele. I have family and friends who also go to her and are making the switch because they are experiencing similar treatment. Very disappointing. read more

I have only known this office for a short time but I am so happy I found them. As most people do I have anxiety about visiting doctor's offices, but the office staff is always so kind and helpful. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into their practice. Dr. Sodoma is also nice and patient. Easy to talk to and understand. She never rushes my visit and answers all my questions. Her office offers a wide range of skin and women's health services, though I wish she was still doing Obstetrician work too! read more

I wanted to consult about getting my tubes tied but apparently she does not offer this care for anyone under 30 years old. This information is NOWHERE on her website. I'm 22 years old and I've been afraid of getting pregnant for as long as I can remember. I spent $50 that I barely have to drive 30 min there just to be told no in a 30 second appointment and had to drive 30 min back home. I wasted an hour of my time just to be told no when they have a text messaging system that my questions could easily be answered through. Although it's technically her right to refuse a service (even though I don't personally agree with it) but the fact that I couldnt know over text or telehealth or something that wouldn't cost me money I barely have and an hour of my time and 40 miles of gas money is not very caring of a doctor. This wouldn't be an issue if it was upfront. She also told me 30% of women regret it and that's it's irreversible. Getting your tubes tied is not irreversible, it just doesn't always work when untied for conception. Also, whether I get my tubes tied or removed I can get IVF and still have a baby. She purposely didn't mention these things and simply said "once you're sterilized you can't go back" which is a fear mongering tactic often used on women because women are not educated on options for our bodies. Fortunately I am because I do my research. I will be getting my tubes TAKEN OUT elsewhere. I want my nexplanon removed because I do not know if it is making my mental state worse because I should be able to decide whether or not I want my hormones messed with my whole life just to avoid a baby when I can simply get sterilized and STILL give birth if I really wanted to. read more

Just showed up this morning for my 7:30 appointment for my annual exam, which has been scheduled for a year. After the 30 min drive to get there, I was told my appointment was cancelled because the doctor was not in office today. I was also told I was called and told this, which is an absolute lie. Staff was friendly and the office was clean but I waited over an hour and a half without being seen. I scheduled my appointment 2 months in advance and showed up 20 min early for paperwork. Multiple other clients came in and left while I sat there. I wasn't updated on why it was taking so long and ultimately left. Disappointing first time experience. read more

I have been going to Dr Sodomas practice for over 25 years. She gave me great prenatal care with my first child, Years later helped me with my tubal ligation, and now a hysterectomy. We exhausted every avenue to ensure my tumor would shrink or be tolerated. I'm happy to say she is my go to obgyn. Happy to see her business is thriving and hope to see her for the years to come. I have tried other practices due to moving, but she's the only one I trust with my well women's needs. read more

RUN!! Unless you want to lose your sparkle and joy. Went there 20 years ago I asked her about her DO training as I had read It is extra training to teach MD's about the whole person instead of just medical needs. She literally said "what does that have to do with your surgery?" A quick 2 minute exam told me I needed abdominal surgery to remove a fibroid, she scared me tremendously did not offer any wait, monitor or birth control to try to shrink it or any other options I discovered later. Gave me a very limited window of getting me in, rushed to do surgery did not offer a biopsy or relieve my cancer worry, or other issues, and she also told me my body would "absorb" the eggs, etc. like another review I read. NOT TRUE!! It did not make sense to me, but I trusted her. (Not sure why, as she was mean. But I tried to think her bedside manner sucked, but perhaps her medical skill was good ) However, two years later I had to have an ovary removed. Due to inflammation and massive cysts contorting, pain worse than giving birth! which makes me think Of course the eggs had nowhere to go. Unknown to me I also had severe adhesions from her surgery . I lived in pain for years since she performed surgery on me and found a great Dr to help. Then another three years after the first laparoscopic oophorectomy at a better Dr., I had to have the other ovary removed for the same reason. The doctor did laparoscopic and said I never should've needed abdominal surgery. The scar tissue left behind from the abdominal surgery stole my young years balled up in fetal position for years suffering, it has ruined the last 20 years and my ovaries being removed menopause 20 years before I should have. I was scared into thinking I needed immediate major surgery and know that my life would have been much more normal and not full of pain disrupting my job, marriage, if I had run out of her office and never looked back. She didn't even want to see me for my six week follow up and said if I had pain or issues she would see me, but otherwise there was no need. Who does that? She was disrespectful and patient care from what I have read from the last few years reviews, she has not changed. Honestly, I first took her nasty attitude that maybe she was just an abrupt East Coast gal and tried not to overthink it. I'm here to tell you ladies - overthink it like crazy!!! You cannot get back your health and happiness potentially lost if you this person do any medical treatment on you. I would hope she would be reviewed by the medical board at some point. Danger!!! Beware!!!! Dr Sodoma will use unnecessarily expensive devices without explaining the financial implications to you and lie about it!!!!! I started seeing dr sodoma after getting referred by my primary care doctor. Everything was fine and I had a good experience until it was time to take out my IUD. Quick background, I have removed and inserted an IUD at a previous Dr office and didn't have to use any special devices besides an ultrasound. Fast forward 3 years later, I scheduled an appointment with sodomas office to remove my IUD. I get to my appointment and they had me disrobe and on the table. Sodoma walks in with a nurse and an instrument she briefly explains helps her take out the IUD because she doesn't like to "do it blindly". She further explains "why do it blindly and risk perforation if we have the technology" . That was it. There was no talk of how expensive this method would be! If she had informed me, I would have opted for her to remove it using an ultrasound (which they have in their office). Instead she made the sole decision to use a Hysteroscope and charged my insurance close to $3000 for a "Biopsy" of which I was responsible for paying 55% out of pocket. If she had told me the cost upfront, I would have opted for a far less expensive way to remove my IUD. She claims she had to use the device because my strings weren't visible. Understood, maybe I would have opted for her method knowing the facts but making the decision without sharing the financial implications is irresponsible and completely erodes my trust in her as a physician. Anyway I've learned my lesson and will question everything a doctor suggests whether or not I'm already in a hospital gown on the table! After I found out my bill, I called her office and spoke with the manager who tells me Dr Sodoma said she explained the financial implementation to me at the time of the procedure. I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Sodoma & her in house Esthetician Hayley Roby. The office feels very relaxing & I was completely comfortable. Dr. Sodoma took a long time going over my history, which I've actually never had happen before, and I can tell she cares about her patients. She answered all my questions, & I am really glad to have found her as I am new to the area. Hayley has really good energy & a calm demeanor. I was able to relax fully. I needed to reschedule, and it was no problem. I also initially got in really fast & didn't have to wait months. I haven't transferred my insurance yet, so I'm a cash patient. Dr Sodoma was referred by another doctor following an ultrasound for a biopsy. I called and scheduled and was fortunat that they had a cancellation for the next afternoon. After making arrangements for the appt, I was called 45 minutes prior saying they needed to reschedule because she had something come up. Rescheduled for the next week. She came in and never examined me or asked about my pain. She told me what I had (even though the ultrasound was indecisive) and told me biopsy was not necessary. Most women, she said, have this. Told me I needed HRT. Progesterone and Testosterone and that we'd do the pellet therapy. I asked if it was expensive and she said, No. Only $375 every 4 months. May not be expensive to her. Nurse told me to call before follow up if I was still having pain. I did and took 5 days for phone call. Then was told she'd leave a note and follow up that afternoon. Took 1 week to hear back only to be told it isn't GYN related and to contact primary care. She was rude and had a terrible bedside manner. Front office staff was amazing and very kind. read more

Do not settle! If it feels wrong in a doctor's office, it is wrong! If you need a basic gynecologist, this place is probably fine. However, if you have any needs that require surgical intervention, I would not recommend Dr. Sodoma or her office. I was actually told, I know patients like you and I know what you need. In actuality, I was offered an extremely invasive abdominal surgery and was told by Dr. Sodoma that it "would be hard for her". My trust was utterly broken and I was eventually able to find a skilled surgeon who could do the surgery with minimally invasive techniques. It was so dehumanizing and baffling. I was spoken to rudely by several office personnel due to my insurance being complicated and demanded payment up front. I was also pressured to book the surgery and told I needed to make non-refundable down payments immediately to hold my place. The care and empathy for someone receiving tough surgery news was non-existent. This office is all business and about the money without the skill to back it up. If you need surgery, please skip this office and keep looking until you find someone who will kindly walk you through your process. read more

Easily the best gynecologist I've ever had. Always in and out of her office in no time. She always stops in to make an appearance and see if I have any questions, even if her NP is seeing me that day. I've never felt uncomfortable or had any issues. Staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to resolve billing issues with my insurance rather than just handing it off to me. Dr Sodoma has delivered both of my daughters and was always caring and willing to answer my questions throughout the pregnancies. She is a skilled surgeon, both of my kids were csections. She checked in on me while I was in the hospital. She took my concerns seriously and did extra testing to address the concerns. Too bad she is not delivering babies any longer. read more

Avoid this doctor at all costs. When I scheduled the appointment I specifically asked for the amount and services to be rendered. The receptionist quoted for the doctors appointment and full exam, the charge would be $380. I went in and a was discriminated against as I was considered a cash pay without insurance. I was refused service when I came face-to-face with the doctor. She informed me I need a mammogram in hand before they would treat me. She asked if I still wanted the full exam and I asked if that was included in this visit or was it additional charge. She said the full exam was included and I said then yea. She then denied my request and said since I am a cash paying customer and they would need to source out, there would be additional charges so decided against providing any services. But I was still charged for the visit. I asked if I would be charged when I came back with the mammogram and she said yes. She is a con artist taking advantage of innocent people that do not have insurance. I was discriminated against because I don't have insurance after waiting two months for this appointment. I will be reporting this to the Board of Health for discrimination practices. read more

Dr. Sodoma has been my doctor through my whole pregnancy. This was my first baby so I don't have anything else to compare it to but I couldn't have been happier with the way everything went. She is very straight forward with things and doesn't sugar coat anything. She took great care of me and delivered my baby as well as checked on me multiple times in the hospital. During my pregnancy I got real sick one night with food poisoning and she was available to talk to me at midnight. The entire staff is extremely friendly and courteous. As far as insurance and bill payments, that was a little scatterbrained but that seems to be the norm at doctor offices these days. I definitely will be staying with Doctor Sodoma and I hope that she can be my doctor with my future pregnancies. read more

Worst experience at an OBGYN I have ever had. My husband and I decided I have decided to try for our first child and were doing research online and via friends trying to find a female OBGYN and found Dr. Sodoma. Being new to the state we did not have much to go on but decided to give her a try as she was nearby and was one of the few that didn't have a long list of terrible reviews online. Upon calling to make an appointment I mentioned to the scheduler that I was simply wanting to meet with Dr. Sodoma to interview her and was not sure if I wanted to join the practice as a new patient or not, and asked if this was something they did. She said that would be fine but that I would need to have an insurance card on file as part of their procedure. That was fine with me so I went ahead and set up the appointment. When I arrived at the scheduled appointment two weeks later I was greeted by the receptionist (who had rock music blaring at the front desk) who signed me in and took a copy of my insurance card. She then said I would be billed by my insurance company for the visit. I was surprised by this and explained to her that I was simply there to speak with the doctor about the practice etc. and had given this information to the scheduler over the phone when I booked the appointment She became short with me and said she remembered speaking with me on the phone and denied ever saying the visit would be free or that my insurance would not be billed. At this point my husband had taken the morning off of work to be with me for the visit so I agreed to have my insurance billed so I could at least speak with the doctor. I had never had this issue in the past and doctors I have visited welcomed interviews from prospective new patients. After about 25 minutes of waiting we were called into the exam room by the nurse and waited another couple of minutes for Dr. Sodoma to see us. She began asking my husband and I questions as if we were new patients and it was a regular visit. I went on to explain (a third time) that were were simply looking for OBGYN in the area, trying for our first child etc. and were not ready to make any decisions regarding joining a practice. She then became very condescending and flat our refused to answer any of my or my husband's questions. She went on to say she wanted to see me back in 3 months for a list of unnecessary tests that were unwarranted and would not explain to me why she felt I needed them. She had not even examined me or gotten any medical history as that was not what the appointment was for! Needless to say we will not be back and have since found a much more professional OBGYN in the area. read more

First time ever writing a poor review for someone. Since she is in the medical field, I feel like other people should know my experience. I went to her my whole pregnancy and everything seems okay. She doesn't offer knowledge, only if asked. Example would be when I asked about getting the whooping cough vaccine, since I kept seeing other ladies getting it in the third trimester. She just said oh yeah.. you should get that, but I don't do vaccines here. My biggest issue was the delivery day. I'm now thanking god she was not available to deliver my baby since I have lost all confidence in her. For months she was telling me my baby was in perfect position, head down everything looked great. I went into labor 3 weeks early, and progressed very quick. When the on call doctor came in when it was time to push, she felt me and noticed that it was a butt and not a head. I was rushed off to have a c-section and during the procedure the doctor stated that my baby had been breeched my entire pregnancy by the way her legs were sitting. Now I just went to my 3 week appointment with Sodoma and she checked my incision and when she looked at it she was saying how amazing it looks and I thought she was complimenting her on call doctor, until she made the comment of"did a plastic surgeon do that? No that's just Dr Sodoma" she doesn't even remember that she was not the one who delivered my baby... horrible! read more

Dr. Sodoma delivered all three of my children. I saw her at every single ob appointment and have continued to see her for my annual exams. She is a brilliant doctor and humble doctor despite many awards. She is very thorough in her exams and always explained everything to me. She is calm and confident and I had the best possible care. I had three amazing birth experiences where unlike an earlier review, was never told I had to have an epidural...I did not. The night of one of my children's birth, she literally saved the life of the woman and her child next door when there was a placental abruption. She's not only a great doctor but surgeon as well and makes her patients her priority. Keep in mind, people love to complain and rarely take time to post positive reviews. I have several friends who have used Dr. Sodoma as well and we would never go anywhere else. read more

She is horrible!! I went to her my whole pregnancy and she said everything is normal until the day of the delivery. A nurse came in at the hospital to check baby position and found out that I had a breech for my entire pregnancy. I started crying and was rushed to do a c section. Linda Sodoma, DO, OB, Gyn is the best. I am a mother of 5 beautiful children. I had 1 miscarriage and have recently had my tubes tied. Dr. Sodoma took complete care of me with each of those kids. She was absolutely awesome, she is very difficult to get into because she is so great and has a lot of patients. Anyone that has gone to her absolutely loves her and uses her multiple times. She has such a fun sense of humor and was always extremely helpful and patient with me. I absolutely love her and I am so grateful for her. We had different complications with each of our kids, however she was so sweet and always gave me great care. I have referred many friends to her and each of my friends have been extremely grateful to have her as a doctor. My husband and her became great friends and would laugh and make me giggle throughout the entire delivery. Anyone that is going to judge someone by one visit and write a huge book about how horrible her experience was, is ridiculous. No one should judge a book by it's cover especially when she wasn't even willing to pay for her first visit. OBGYN's are not in the business of interviewing for a job. They are available to deliver babies. Can you imagine that every woman that came in acted that way. Very interesting. . . So grateful for Dr. Sodoma, thank you for all you do! This was my wife's first baby and naturally she has a lot of questions and was hoping for a doctor who would be patient with her worries and questions. Well this is what Dr. Sodoma wasn't. She didn't care to answer questions thoroughly and was complete business only with my wife. My wife would come home and feel like Dr. Sodoma made her feel dumb for asking questions. Also she didn't have a number that we could call in case of an emergency. I guess I don't know if that is normal but the doctors that my sister and sister-in-laws all went to had a number for their doctor. read more

I was referred here by my PCP who I had seen for all my well woman visits previously but I had what seemed like recurring yeast infections for months and decided to go to a specialist. Long story short, after more months of needless and unsuccessful attempts with antibiotics and antifungals to "cure" me, the NP, Kim Anderson, was able to make a guess at a diagnosis for my condition (I never even saw Dr. Sodoma). She told me about my condition, which IF it was a correct diagnosis, would be something I struggled with my whole life. Being so young, this is some pretty hard knews to take and she was very uncompassionate and blunt through the entire discussion. When I asked about treatment, she just told me it was a rare condition and she would have to look into it more (not reassuring). All she wanted to do for me was give me a topical lidocaine ointment. I did research of my own, which I know always sounds bad but I myself am in the medical profession and looked at more than just your typical Webmd. After researching the treatment information, I asked about other options to which she coldly and condescendingly told me she had never heard about and my only option was the lidocaine and that, "your just going to have to learn to live with it". It is a very hard thing for a 23 year old woman who is about to be married less than a year from that time to hear 'Oh your just going to have to learn to live with your vagina feeling like its on fire and numb it with lidocaine to be intimate', uhm no thanks. I asked to be referred to a specialist and got a referral for a doctor in Phoenix, but ended up going with a nationally recognized vulva specialist in Scottsdale, Dr. Fowler, who had reseach studies and 17 years experience. Now here I am 6 months later not having to "learn to live with it" and enjoying my newlywed life. Overall, Kim Anderson was unprofessional and cold towards me during a very emotional and painful experience. read more

Only thing I liked about this office were the people at the desk, also the medical assistants. I saw Dr. sodoma. I ended up changing at 28 weeks pregnant because she didn't take any of my health issues seriously. She didn't seem like she cared. She never gave information about anything and as a first time mother I would always have to Google. My sister who was 2 months ahead of me also switched really late in her pregnancy because she wasn't supportive of my sister wanting to do the Bradley method. She told her or ya no way specially first time mom's your gunna get the epidural. Over all my sister and I didn't have one postive experience there. I switched and now love my new doctor! read more
