I'm only writing the review because I feel like during your pregnancy you are deserving of quality care and proper bedside manner. If you want an office that will actually care about you and treat you like an individual and not be seen by robots, do NOT go here. We recently moved to the east valley and needed a new OB as I have a high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical history. I explained to them on the phone if this was someone their office could handle and I needed to see an OB not a nurse or a midwife due to the complications of my pregnancy. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and "doctor's " visit. The front desk seemed more concerned about their nails and hair than doing their job. I had to redo the same paperwork 3 times because the girl upfront kept deleting it. The ultrasound tech was rude and just seemed annoyed we were there. She has zero personality. While the medical assistant was extremely nice; she did not seem to know what was going on; her nails were longer than her fingers which don't seem professional in a medical setting or even sanitary & she was chewing gum with her mouth open as she spoke to us twirling her hair and ignoring most of what I was saying. I was seen not by a doctor but a nurse; she 100% ignored my questions and concerns. I was then told thy were not going to do anything but have me come back because " we don't even know if you have a viable pregnancy " I was 6 days earlier than we thought and instead of being professional she was rude and heartless. This causes so much unnecessary stress. We got TWO second options that same week and they BOTH agreed the due date would be moved and baby was healthy and growing and there was NO reason to say what she said especially since I am still nursing and there is zero way to know the exact date of conception. When I told her what she said " no you HAVE to be this far along and you're just not matching that " It causes so much unnecessary stress but the way the entire appointment was handled was unprofessional and has zero human compassion. The only reason that I even stopped to wright this review was because the front desk called me today to verify that I canceled my apt. When I said yes I decided to go with an office with better bedside manner her response was " oh yeah that TOTALLY makes sense " and laughed and hung up. read more

Mina H is the BOMB.com. When I moved back to Arizona from TX, my mom recommended her as my new OB/GYN... I think this was my fourth year seeing her and absolutely love. She remembers me every year, asked me about how I'm doing, it just makes me feel important. Plus, she's very knowledgeable and sweet. Also , i'm not sure if Cami was new... I finally took the plunge after many recommendations from women to try this place for my regular GYN care, and I was not disappointed. Being in the medical field myself, it is hard to make me feel good about a place but it was great. I made an appointment with a nurse practitioner over a doctor because that is my preference and it was a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The medical assistants that bring you to your room and take vitals were also great and even the lab girl was kind and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out if you need good care!! read more

i have been a patient of lilac for 3 years now. i have to say i have never felt more taken care of by any doctor than my providers at lilac. My surgeon Dr. Neighbors advocated for me and in doing so was able to help me feel like i got my life and autonomy back. My gynecologist Dr.Beaver is the kindest human and knowing my past has always helped me feel safe while on her table. The reception and front desk employees are always so helpful and so flexible when i need help scheduling.as well as the billing and surgery scheduling departments are so transparent and were incredibly easy to work with, this made a big difference for me. My wife loves it here, as all the doctors have been great. We're a high risk pregnancy and throughout the entire process. The ladies at the front desk are always nice. We're currently in our third trimester and the only thing we wish is they have more hospital privileges. They only deliver at Banner and Chandler Regional, which my wife doesn't prefer. Coming back to say their medical director agreed that my disease was treated according to protocol- please run if you have a complex gynecological condition. Not only will they perform the unnecessary surgeries they will double down on their providers decisions based on standards from the early 2000's. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to my worst enemy. I've been to Lilac three times now. My first visit was with Bridgette, my second was with Kelsey, and my third was (unfortunately) with Bridgette again. Let me just say this: Kelsey is amazing. I love her, she listens, she's warm, and I would absolutely see her again without hesitation. Bridgette, on the other hand, is a completely different story. Each time I've seen her, she's all over the place. When she walks into the room, she doesn't ask how you're feeling or where you're at. She just immediately starts doing whatever she thinks is right, no conversation, no checking in, nothing. It makes the whole interaction feel rushed and disconnected. During my last visit, she tried to prescribe me a medication I'm allergic to. On top of that, I have known sensitivities to certain medication types and she brushed it off again, asking if it was a "true sensitivity," just like she did the very first time I met her. It honestly made me feel awful, like I wasn't being taken seriously at all. I've always heard great things about Lilac, and I waited forever for them to finally take my insurance. I still think the practice overall is great. But I will not see Bridgette again. If I continue going to Lilac, it will be with someone else, because I refuse to deal with that feeling of being dismissed and unheard. read more

I made an appointment with Lilac OB/GYN and was looking forward to seeing my nurse practitioner, who was wonderful the last time I saw her. However, I received a voicemail stating that I couldn't keep my appointment due to an outstanding balance of $25 that had been sent to collections and an attorney. I had no idea this balance was pending. To deny someone care over $25 is extremely disappointing and unethical. It shows a lack of genuine care for patients and a greater focus on money rather than healthcare. What's even worse is that my last sample was previously sent to an out-of-network lab--something I was never informed about--which likely caused the balance in the first place. Having worked in the medical field myself, I know that many practices try to accommodate patients and understand that life happens. But for this office to send someone to collections over $25 and refuse an appointment is just sad. I would've gladly paid it. It's very unfortunate that Lilac OB/GYN chooses not to work with their patients on situations like this. It's very sad, unethical, and disappointing. If you talk to Sydney Hartman in the billing department, good luck ! They do not return your calls, they do not answer, then try to give a "punishment" for them not answering. I would not recommend going to this doctor's office, they are money grabbers and do not care about patient care. Specially talking about the office and admin staff. It is a horrible establishment and seem to care more about money than anything! I'm extremely disappointed that I had referred friends/family to this office for the doctor! Went in for my anatomy scan and was told that we had to come back for another one because they couldn't see everything. No one ever told us we were gonna have to pay out of pocket for this. I was pretty upset I had to pay $100 for the second ultrasound because they couldn't see everything. During visits the communication was always rushed and all my concerns were always brushed over. I had to get bloodwork done because I was scared of preeclampsia symptoms just to find out at my next appointment they misplaced my bloodwork and could not find them and they were also never sent out. No one cared to call me and inform me about this when i'm over here concerned for my health and my baby's health waiting for results to only find out there were none! No one would ever check my urine samples, I was told after my appointment that I would have to give a urine sample next visit cause no one checked mine. Then one of the nurses was using the doppler to find the heartbeat and was struggling to find it and then she goes "you heard it right?" and then put everything away and left. I never heard it. Charges are very high, but the quality of care is extremely low. Honestly felt like no one knew what they were doing. First time being pregnant and this was a disappointing first time experience. Felt like all they wanted was my money since my insurance covered nothing. read more

AWFUL, I've been very disappointed in this office. I've had three appointments that seemed useless. I came here based on the reviews hoping to find a good doctor to help me with pain I've had for a while and sleep issues due to menopause. My first appointment was changed on me at the last minute and I felt rushed with nothing really done except to give me a cream. They told me to come back in a month for a ultrasound (I have the paperwork the provider gave me telling me to get an ultrasound) which I scheduled a month in advance. But again at the last minute they changed the appointment and told me that they couldn't do the ultrasound and I'd only get my annual exam. I went anyway and was kept in the waiting room 20 minutes past my appointment time. The next day I get a message that they now want me back a third time for the ultrasound. I'm so frustrated that the first two appointments were a complete waste of my time and now I'm expected to come back a third time due to the staffs incompetence. I only have 40 hours of sick time per year and I have other doctors to visit so it's not easy taking time off on three different days. There was no reason to make me come in three times when this could have been handled in one visit as originally scheduled. So now I either have to go back or live with the pain for another year. Since I'm still having pain I decided to schedule the appointment for the ultrasound. I call and confirm everything and receive reminders for my appointment. My appointment is set for 2pm. At 9am on the day of the appointment they call me and guess what, once again they incompetent staff managed to screw up my appointment and now they can't see me at 2pm. Seriously, three appointments in a row they have not gotten right. I'm so over this place. Update: On top of being incompetent, the staff here are also liars and thieves. Now they are trying to charge me for the third appointment which was supposed to be covered during my annual exam and I had already confirmed with them when I called to make the appointment that there would be no charge. Do yourself a favor and find another obgyn like I plan to do! read more

This is definitely one of the better OB practices in the east valley. But not great. Providers seem tired and unenthused. I saw a few different providers. They always rush appts, don't really allow for questions. And when I asked they seemed to be annoyed about it. During one of my pregnancies, I called stating I was bleeding and the girl on the phone asked "is it a lot" like what. I'm bleeding in pregnancy!! That's not good! She begrudgingly made me an appointment. When the provider came into the appointment, she would not even sit down. She checked for heartbeat and said there was a heartbeat and it was fine and to go home. I felt like I was wasting everybody's time. But they had told me in a previous appointment if you start bleeding, you need to call. I have sat in the waiting room while other patients are frustrated about their bills that they want paid way in advance for the labor and delivery. I was even harassed about paying months in advance when they clearly state you have to pay by X date. I have even seen couples get pulled off to the side to a private office to discuss these bills. I don't understand why you have to pay so early before you even go into labor. And if there is a payment due date, why are they pushing so hard to get it before that due date? I ignored them about this and went to a different practice. I did see Dr. Connor's for a D&C after a birth (which I had with a different Midwife practice that did not do this procedure) and she was excellent. I also had Mina for an annual check a few times and she also was excellent. I think this practice would be great for annual checks or other procedures, but I would not have a baby with this practice. It is also unfortunate that they do not go to Mercy Gilbert. read more

Kristi was the provider I met with today and she was so understanding and friendly it made me WANT to go back to the clinic. Dr. Helmer has been amazing since the beginning of my pregnancy all through my delivery. She listens to all concerns and questions with patience and understanding. She was not on call during my delivery but she still came in to the hospital to deliver my baby. We loved our experience with her and will not go with any other OBGYN. read more

Been an established patient for 4 yrs, they delivered both my boys. No issues with my account ever. I had a preemie baby 11/2024, and owed $875 at my follow-up in 12/2024. Went on a payment plan, account went into collections in 2/2025 and it was immediately paid in full. Called the office to let them know balance was taken care of, they said everything was all good. My acct was deactivated sometime after the payment was made- so even though I was an established payment, with NO outstanding balance, they still dropped me WITHOUT notification. I showed up on Tues 5/27/25 for my annual, only to discover all of this. They did not tell me they were dropping me as a patient or cancelling my annual visit. Now I'm left with no OBGYN, and my own neglected medical care since they couldn't be bothered to communicate with me about canceling my appointments and dropping me as a patient. SO unacceptable, as both a business and medical professionals. Please DO NOT give them your money. read more

I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am to have chosen Lilac Ob Gyn. Not only has every single person I have come in contact with treated me with kindness and understanding, this entire practice is well organized and efficient. They actually pick up the phone, they speak understandably, they return calls. The front desk has always been super helpful and knowledgeable, as well as very polite and professional. I have now been to both offices and seen Dr. Switzer and Dr. Adams- both are absolutely amazing! The medical assistants, the phlebodomist, the ultrasound tech, and the nurses have been wonderful! I will also add that Dr. Owens who administered IV sedation for my in-office procedure, was fantastic. In order to receive reimbursements for my medical expenses I require itemized statements for each visit and procedure. I can't tell you the nightmares I've experienced with so many other billing offices in order to acquire a simple itemized statement. Not with Lilac or Dr. Owens' office! They need to improve their business practices. They banned a patient for an unpaid $30 bill that they claimed was 3 months past due. She was in the middle of a health crisis and they refused to see her. They did not cancel her appointment or let her know she was banned until she tried to be seen for a health crisis. They refused to see her or offer her help in anyway. This made her health condition worse. read more

Where to begin first visit July 21st was to confirm pregnancy. The nurse Mrs Ortiz was condescending and opinionated when I provided answers to her questions. The female who drew my blood was older blonde and made snide remarks regarding my tattoos and that she would have trouble drawing blood. Was severely bruised on my arm for 3 weeks after apt and it was painful. Second visit Monday August 9th ultrasound and finally getting to meet an actual dr. Ultrasound first and the tech was cold and unhelpful she did not provide her name and barely described the image of our baby didn't give any details other than heat beat was healthy and received a text image of ultrasound which was terrible and insanely blurry and never found out size or anything. I have never heard of an ultrasound and not receiving an image printed to take home as this is my first pregnancy I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED to not have a physical of image of first baby. I did meet with Dr Adams and she was very nice and warm. More blood was drawn. Young brunette drew blood no issues and painless and no bruises. I called this morning August 13th and asked if their office never gives pictures like physical copies to take home and she didn't know and she could not get me in touch with tech or a dr to read the text message picture of "my" ultrasound (the image does not even have my name on the top just the name of the practice!) so impersonal and it was so sad to see!!! I refuse to set another apt to get details on my ultrasound that I strongly believe should have been explained the day I was there. 5 stars is the only reason I tried to go here and I'm seriously regretting even giving this clinic a second chance. read more
