Dr. Aspen Bradley-Wolfe is fantastic and one of the best ObGyns I've had so far in my life. She's very well-informed about her field, is able to answer any questions I have, and is very quick and gentle for annual exams. The front office staff have also been helpful and kind. Unfortunately, I do find some issues with how New Horizons operates. They're pretty pushy about their advertising for semaglutides for weight loss and I get emails seemingly every month about it. It's great that patients have options, but I'm not enthused about the implications for many of their patients who are also often there for their pregnancies. They also started pushing for AI for their services. AI can be a great tool when used well, but they seem to be using it to fix something that isn't broken. As other reviewers have stated, it has become a hindrance rather than convenience for setting up appointments. You can set up an appointment online however without AI if you're an existing patient. Moreover, they seem to be pushing for patient volume rather than giving enough balance for timely care per patient appointment. In medical settings, setbacks often happen, which I can sympathize with. I don't mind having to wait. However, every single time I've been here, I've always had to wait at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Perhaps if they were able to have more staff on hand or stagger the appointments out more, it'll help patients feel less rushed. It would also help the doctors and nurses also be less overworked. Their online portal is mostly easy to navigate and I have had no issues sending questions and getting prompt responses through their messaging system. I also get my lab results within a week. Overall I love and appreciate the staff here, but I'm not too keen on how their overhead for the business operates and the business decisions they've been making in the last year. It's making me question whether I want to continue coming here despite the excellent staff. I hope they can reconsider and be more mindful of what they choose to push for and stand by. read more

I wish I could give a zero star as I had a very bad experience today with New Horizons Women's Care in Gilbert. I had an appointment with Dr. Judith Adams at 11:20 a.m., and I arrived at 11:15 a.m., which was before my appointment time. I was told by the receptionist that my appointment was canceled. She told me that she checked with Dr. Adams and that the doctor could not see me today, even though I had arrived before my scheduled appointment time. I was in a lot of pain, and the way this was handled was very unempathetic and unprofessional. They could have asked me to wait, and I would have waited, but instead they simply canceled my appointment. I had already waited for a month for this appointment, and then the receptionist told me that I would have to wait another month to reschedule for the next appointment. The receptionist is not fit for her role. There was absolutely no empathy or understanding for a patient who was in pain. The whole experience was just horrible and extremely unprofessional. I cannot understand how a patient can arrive before their scheduled appointment and simply be turned away after already waiting a month to be seen. read more

I was 10 minutes early to my appointment today and was turned away because I didn't fill out all the information online. When I finished filling out the information I had one minute before my appointment started, and they still turned me away. read more

3 Drs left wouldn't give me information on where my dr went. Felt like a cattle call. Glad I changed providers. Not a way to run a practice

I am extremely frustrated with this office. After moving and transferring my prenatal care to another OB office, I was told that the portion of the OB financial package I had already paid would be fully refunded since I no longer owed anything and was no longer a patient. It has now been over two months, and I still have not received my refund. I've called multiple times and keep getting bounced between the front office and billing with no answers. Every time I'm transferred, the call gets disconnected, and no one ever follows up. The lack of communication and customer service has been very disappointing. If you plan to continue your pregnancy care at another office after making payments toward their OB package, be aware that getting your money back may be a huge hassle. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office. read more

Dr. Adams was incredibly rude and insensitive to her own patients that have undergone FGM. I felt that she was judgmental when trying to do a pelvic exam, and then refused to do one altogether bc she "wasn't physically able to". Then instead of trying to find an alternative route to do the pelvic exam, she chose to diagnose right away with pelvic floor dysfunction. I pushed for a CT scan at least since no pelvic exam could be done and my mom was in severe pain, but Dr. Adams thought it was fine to just leave it at that. I later called the practice back and requested a CT scan again but Dr Adams once again refused. My mom looked like she was suffering, and I realized we weren't going to get answers from them, so I took her to the hospital that night, where upon doing a CT scan, they admitted her for a life threatening condition. This doctor is the reason there's so much distrust towards the healthcare system. There was so much anxiety in watching my mom's pain get worse and worse, and so many sleepless nights due to trying hard to get answers for my mom, this experience was the most dreadful. So much anxiety could have been avoided, and my mom's medical care would not have been delayed by an insensitive and mistrusting healthcare professional. Regrettable experience. read more

Rude staff & terrible communication! Unfortunately we have had a very terrible experience at New Horizons. We were always getting wrong & conflicting communication from their staff. It was such an unnecessary added stress for my wife during her already tough pregnancy. To top it off, we called to schedule a postpartum appointment and Angelina at this location was extremely rude to my wife for no reason. read more

Setting up an appointment is so annoying, the phone call is completely AI. They are asking for insurance numbers and you have to repeat it to the AI receptionist 20 times before they get it right. I asked for an itemized receipt on my appointment and they called saying they can send me anything. You can't tell me what I'm paying for? The receptionist was so hostile about it as well. Seems like they are hiding stuff. I wasn't trying to argue, I just wanted to be informed. read more

Great service ! No rushing and she was happy to answer all questions. Gave thorough future visits.

This place is incredibly inconsiderate to its patients. My mother in law was having terrible pain and when this was communicated with Dr. Adams, rather than listening and creating an appropriate plan to a solution. The Dr. brushed off our concerns and put in a referral to a problem that we never mentioned. As a result, we got no where closer to our solution and were forced to go to the hospital where we received the appropriate care which we had initially asked for from Dr. Adams. And this is all happened, after my wife took her mother the day before and was rejected care for not arriving 30 MINUTES BEFORE her appointment to complete paperwork, which was never communicated. And not to mention they didn't even offer to allow her to still complete the paperwork and still see her the same day, allowing the problem to only get worse. If you love yourself or loved ones don't ever come to this practice! They don't care about women! read more

I was asked to reschedule due to being a new patient. I wasn't told I needed to be there 30 minutes early. Will not be going back. Communication was terrible. When I received the reminder call I wasn't informed to go early. read more

I scheduled an annual exam that should have been fully covered by my insurance. During the visit, I spoke with the doctor for total of a 15 minutes visit which included questions regarding perimenopause. However, I was billed not only for the annual exam but also for an office visit and two additional codes. I've left multiple calls and messages without receiving any response. It feels like this practice prioritizes billing over patient experience. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for today for a women's wellness exam and have had this appointment booked for a month. The office requested photos of my insurance card and my insurance was also given when booking. They ended up not being in network with my insurance. The front desk didn't have knowledge on insurances and it took about 20 minutes to verify that my insurance was out of network. Working in healthcare this seemed really unprofessional considering I'm a new patient and this could have been prevented by them checking my insurance prior to my visit. read more

Let me start of by saying the positive about this place since it's one thing, which is Dr. Bradley she is awesome and super caring. Other than her, nothing about this place is great. Staff are loud and treat it like a highschool. Billing is evennn worse!! I came here for my first pregnancy and they would bill me $60 copayment when I was in their payment plan for the birth(can't remember the correct term for it) they have you sign it after your second visit. Husband paid about 1,000+ for it and then they charge you other fees randomly. I got two final collection notices for $8. & $39 I called the collection and just paid it since I didn't want it to affect my credit and I asked what these charges were for : no idea. On my portal I see the payment made but no description on why I was charged that. BEWARE OF THEIR BILLING SYSTEM! Make sure you tell you're in the birth payment plan before you pay that copayment and save receipts ! They'll double charge you!! Also stay away from Dr Chu she was so unkind and did not even a rats behind about your concerns. read more

New Horizons Women's Care - Obstetricians & Gynecologists Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Took 50 minutes to get seen. Showed up at 7:30 didn't get seen until 8:20. When I did get seen, the doctor I got was rude. She came in and said something while closing the door so I told her I didn't hear what she said.... the whole time she was SCREAMING in the room like i was 70 with hearing aids. I was just there to get my iud string checked. I told her I would like to make this as fast as possible, she said "well usually people show up earlier sooo...." Wouldn't matter if I showed up 15 minutes earlier It still would've taken 50 minutes to get seen Im switching companies. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Adams. She was in the room for no more than 10 minutes and didn't address all the concerns I had during my visit. She only gave me tips in hope they help resolve my issues. Also, she barely asked any questions about how I was feeling, which is a big red flag. I hope that one day she doesn't dismiss someone who is dealing with severe undiagnosed health issues. Please avoid her services at all costs! read more

I have decided to leave this practice and go back to Valley Women for Women/WREN nearby because of 2 bad experiences in the last 6 months. The first was when abnormal cells were found in a pap smear. They have a portal in which test results can be shared, but I received no notification that anything was wrong except for calls from an unknown phone number. If it was important, they should have left a voice mail asking me to call back. Then I got a call from a cancer specialist asking when I wanted to make an appointment because they had received a referral from New Horizons! Imagine the alarm hearing from a cancer specialist when I had never heard about any negative test results. When I called New Horizons, they said they had kept trying to reach me, but it was my fault that they failed. They have my e-mail, home address and phone number...and could have left a message. At a recent follow-up appointment, I was taken to the exam room promptly, and instructed to strip from the waist down and wait on the exam table. The doctor would be in "shortly." After 15 minutes, I was sticking to the paper on the table and my back was hurting. By 30 minutes, nobody had even poked their head into the room to provide an update or apologize for the wait. I got dressed, went outside the door and informed the first office staff I saw that I had been waiting 1/2 hour unclothed and uncomfortable while I could have been waiting comfortably in the lobby on a sofa with access to water and a restroom. She told me I could reschedule, keep waiting or leave. Why would anyone want to reschedule and go through that again? So that I could make the best decision for myself, I asked what is going on. She replied in an annoyed tone, "She's with other patients." Which gave me no more information than I already had. So I left. The doctors may be good at what they do and knowledgeable, but the office staff is ruining this practice. They do not treat patients like people and do not respect your time. We are not even worth an update as we fritter away our time; I have read this in several reviews about women waiting a half hour, even more than an hour, unclothed in an exam room. And if they can't get a hold of you and fail to leave a voice mail, it's your fault. read more

First of all, nobody on direct site answers the phones-beyond frustrating. I have called so many times over the last three weeks and requested a call back with nothing. I also told the staff and they've made no changes. Several women sitting at the front desk, yet no one can answer the phone. Apparently it goes to a third-party company who takes the phone calls. Not a good patient experience. The Dr personally has been up most professional and helpful anytime I've finally gotten into him. After my next visit, I'll be leaving the practice because I'm so annoyed with how they run their front office. read more

I was having recurring UTIs and heavy bleeding for years and not once did anyone mention endo to me. In fact Dr Moore told me dismissively that I did not have a UTI when I did. Update: my new doctor did NIPT testing and an abd. Ultrasound at 10weeks 4days. (2wks prior to when NH would have) Baby looked good with a strong heartbeat but the yolk sac was enlarged so he scheduled us to come back in 4 weeks for a f/u ultrasound. Our NIPT results came back a week later and we found out we were having a boy. Yay!! But that he was high risk for deletion syndrome which is a random occurrence of the 22nd chromosome not forming all the way when the dna formed. We stressed for a whole week and were sent to see an MFM doctor at 12 weeks and 4 days, the same day New horizons wanted to do the first ultrasound and NIPT testing. There was no heartbeat. Our boy is now in heaven. If I didn't follow my gut I never would have known there was something wrong with this pregnancy before getting news he passed. I would have been even more shocked and dumbfounded than I was. I would have carried so much more anger in me for this establishment because I would have wondered if it could have been prevented if we did these tests sooner. I know the fate would have been the same but my current doctor handled everything with such empathy and care and I really don't think that would have been the same with New Horizons. Go elsewhere ladies! read more

Trying to call them to reschedule an appointment and there is never no answer. half the time they don't even call back. Had chatted with the front desk and they got me to a consultation on the 28th and look forward to meeting them

I visited New Horizons Women's Care with high expectations based on the information provided over the phone, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing... I was lead with misguided and false information when I had made my first patient appointment and was told certain medical services would be done that day but when I arrived and spoke to the MA and NP they said those services could not be provided that day... I was frustrated and confused by this because when I spoke to the person who booked my appointment they assured me that I would receive those medical services. So I basically paid for them to tell me the same information I've already known and is easily accessible online prior to this visit. Extremely disappointed with this place. They only care about money and didn't seem truly genuine about my concern. When I called their Billing department I was sent to voicemail... I probably won't ever hear from them. I do not recommend this place. I left here disappointed and stressed... Will not be coming back. read more

Very friendly staff and I loved that they filled in the information they had on the Ipad instead of just shoving a stack of blank papers at me and telling me to fill everything in (also using the Ipad is so much easier then handwriting everything) . Doctor was nice and explained things. Ronnie the nurse was exceptional, answered all questions and even ran after me to explain some additional things that the doctor hadn't notified me of, which was very nice. They seem to strive to make visits as efficient as possible without cutting out the friendly. So far I'm very happy. read more

I've been going to this place for about 2 years now off/on for small things, but now that I'm pregnant Dr. Chu was my OB. During the appointments it doesn't even seem like she cares at all nor takes the time for the questions or concerns that I've had as a first time mom. Additionally, the two women that were in the section for me to get my blood drawn in the office were rude to me and scowled when I haven't done anything to them but be polite and say hi. I've also been lied to and told there were things wrong with my baby just to be sent to other locations for "special procedures" where they've both stated that nothing was wrong and my doctor didn't even bother putting in the notes the reason she had told me of why I was being sent. Fast forward to now, I haven't been there for any type of appointment for 3 going on 4 months now and no surprise they haven't bothered to check in and see how me or my baby is doing or to even get me in for an appointment being that I'm due next month. Glad to be proven once again that these people that are supposed to help deliver my baby can careless about me or my baby's health. Will never be returning to this place. read more

I decided to come here for my pregnancy because it was close to me, had decent ratings, and they worked with Mercy Gilbert, which at the time, was the place I wanted to deliver (I have my own issues with the hospital). I regret coming here and wonder if my pregnancy and labor would have been smoother and less complicated had I avoided this place. First: The doctors. Good luck finding a doctor you like and getting to stick with them throughout your pregnancy. The good ones are completely booked and never have openings so they will just bounce you from doctor to doctor. You'll never get that real connection because you're seeing someone who only knows you from what is on the chart in front of them. Not to mention, if you find a doctor you like, they might not even deliver your baby. The doctors rotate at the hospital so it's whoever there is there to deliver. I had 3 different New Horizons doctors visit during my L&D and they were doctors I never even met. Oh and the best part... they had ONE doctor on-staff the night of my delivery. So when I was screaming and ready to push, the nurse said I have to hold on because the doctor is in an emergency C-section and there's only one of him. Seriously? How in the world am I supposed to "hold on"? Second: Front office/Phones. The people who work there are awful. No one is nice, friendly, or welcoming. They want you to get in and get out, as fast as they can. Plus, good luck ever getting anyone to answer the phone or call you back... don't even try asking to speak to your doctor because they won't let you! I was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and COVID and the hospital requested a doctors appointment immediately to check the baby. I call-jn and couldn't get through to my doctor, but the nurse told me I had to quarantine for 10 days (which is more than what the CDC recommended at the time) and couldn't come in any sooner. Thankfully nothing was wrong with my baby. Then, I developed a stomach issue 3 weeks postpartum which I thought was related to L&D. The nurse on the phone tried telling me I have to go see my PCP and hung up. Then called me back saying she was wrong and I need to come in. I never had a good experience calling in and talking to the useless nurses. Third: Labor. I was in the ER multiple times for high blood pressure after 36 weeks. Not once did they mention an early induction. I ended up going the full 41 weeks and in the hospital, I believe, 4 or 5 times. The night before my 41 week, I went to the ER for my blood pressure and swelling. The New Horizons doctor almost wanted to send me home until, i think, the Mercy Gilbert nurse fought for me. The doctor ended up allowing me to get induced that night "since it's almost midnight anyways and I'll be 41 weeks". Come to find out during labor I developed an infection from a leak in the sac which I'm now wondering if it was related to the BP. Or, could it have been avoided had anyone checked me up until that point? Fourth: Billing. They nickel and dime you for everything, even charge you for them to submit your FMLA paperwork. Double check your EOBs and bills. Never make a payment without an EOB. And be ready to whip your credit card out (not that having a baby is cheap anywhere you go). *** All this to say, good luck if you go here. Hopefully you don't have the experience I had. read more

Beware when you have lab testing done at New Horizons Women's Care. Recently, I received a bill for routine labs that was significantly higher than expected because the labs were sent to Women's Health Arizona Lab instead of an outside lab like Labcorp. I discovered that the fees from Women's Health Arizona Lab were at least 35% higher, which has resulted in unexpected expenses since I'm working towards meeting my deductible. This was quite the surprise billing for routine labs. While my insurance processed the billing as per their contract with Women's Health Arizona Lab, I am troubled by the fact that New Horizons Women's Care opts to send labs to an affiliate facility that charges more and creates more income for themselves while increasing costs for patients. As a long-time patient of over 20 years, I find this practice to be quite unethical and counter to patient care principles. I understand that patients can request their labs be sent to a different facility, but this information was not made clear, nor the consequences of not doing so, leading to an unexpected higher bill. I believe it would be beneficial for patients to be informed of such choices upfront to avoid these situations. read more
