I just recently switched to Momdoc because of my insurance. I've been 3 times for non pregnancy issues. They have been great all 3 times. I have seen a different provider each time but everyone I've seen has been very helpful and listened to everything I had to say. I didn't feel rushed and was able to ask questions. It's also great that they have an in house phlebotomist so I could do my labs same day in the office. All of the other staff I have encountered have all been very nice! I have had no problem getting appointments and love that I can communicate via text!! read more

I just moved from out of state and was looking for nurse midwives. I'm at the beginning of my third trimester and was anxious to find care- they got me in very quickly and were happy to take me on! The inside of the office is cute but a little run down in places. The front office staff were nice but a little disconnected. I had my first appointment with Keli- she was SO great! This is my first child so I have no idea what I am doing... she helped me to feel confident and explained all the different options I have. They are happy to accommodate your wishes, whether you want an epidural or not, birthing position, etc. I will be updating this review throughout my care! So far, I'm pretty happy and would recommend their service. read more

This is a team of awesome individuals who care for you like they are your own family! Our situation was incredibly difficult but I still wanted my 17yo to have all the amazing experiences when having her first baby and these ladies (and gents) were awesome! although everything so far has been ok the wait to see a provider and for no one to tell you how long it is going to be is ridiculous. both times I've been here it's been 30+ minutes until a provider decides to come see you as they twirl around the hallway. no one should wait that long for answers! Went in for my yearly women's exam. Needed to find a place closer to home and found and found them through my insurance. Interesting place... First, when you arrive there is not a typical front desk check-in situation. There are several nurses? assistants? sitting in the lobby (with other patients who are waiting) and they are the ones who check you in. I've seen this in one other office, but it still is a bit weird. You hear their ipads ding and they chit chat... it's just different (maybe cheaper? more efficient?). Next, I am taken back to the room and this is where the loss of star comes in... I assume each room is "themed" (but why??) and my room just so happened to be "Happy Days" themed (again... why??). They purposefully designed and paid for a brand new office to look like it was from a 1970's TV show, with wood panels and a retro sink. I would maybe like this concept at a diner, but at a doctor's office I think I would prefer a more modern approach. I do not want to be taken back to the 70's for my healthcare... So up until the point the doctor came in I seriously considered just leaving and was already plotting my one star review - but, alas, she was pretty great. Cassandra was very sympathetic to my situation, asked how she could help, referred me to options, and was overall just a very authentic and compassionate woman. I've been to other OBGYNs who made me feel stupid and less than and I left feeling hopeful today. Overall, I look forward to continuing to go here and would highly recommend Cassandra. read more

Abbey and Dr Shaw are my absolute favorite! I secretly know I am theirs also. They are so sweet and kind. They take their time and make me feel valued every time I see them! I recommend Momdoc to everyone! Dr Shaw has delivered my 2 daughters and I hope she delivers my son in September. Dr Shaw is also highly respected & appreciated by my husband and my Mom. They used to be the #1 recommended practice that would come up when women in my group would ask for midwife recommendations, not anymore. There's a reason for that. They are not at all on the natural side of the spectrum. They are very intervention heavy, technology heavy (lots and lots of harmful US), not good patient advocates, don't show up to the hospital to deliver until the baby is basically crowning. At that point it's a guessing game which MW or Gyn will show up. Then they will coach you to push and breathe in ways that permanently destroys your pelvic floor, because they are in a hurry to get the baby out and then leave. No Lactation help, no lip tie eval, nothing. read more

I am so disappointed in this company & customer service. When I would try to reschedule or had questions about how much something would be with my insurance they took over 40 mins to get back with me on the phone. I have been there twice and the first time I was waiting forever to be seen & then the second time I went with my husband for an ultrasound. The tech that took us back didn't say "hi my name is so and so" just told me to go to room 18 & took pictures of our baby. She didn't explain anything, we were really excited & it's our first baby & she just moved on really fast. Also my ultrasound pictures came back with lines down it so it just was not the best quality. Then i saw 3 more people I had never met before coming in to take my vitals, explain my ultrasound & take my blood. The dr. told me they want multiple visits discussing my blood and urine tests & then another visit a week later to check for another ultrasound to then have another visit 8 weeks later. No thank you, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but here we go. I did not have a good experience here, I was not well informed at all. I am a first time Mother to be and as you can imagine I would be excited worried etc and rightly so. My first appt the ultrasound technician basically rushed me out and was ready to go it seemed like she didn't seem like she wanted to be there, her attitude was just poor. I don't expect anyone to act beyond professional standards but showing compassion is kind of expected in this field of work. For my second appt, I was scheduled for an ultrasound around 11-12 weeks only to be told by the ultrasound technician "there was no reason for it." I was understanding and kind even though I had taken time off work, what a waste of time. Fast forward: here I am excited and waited 4 weeks later for for my next "scheduled ultrasound" and again the same ultrasound technician immediately begins with "why are you scheduled for an ultrasound?" (Me: I don't know because the provider said I was scheduled for an ultrasound, how the heck would I know?) The ultrasound technician basically once again told me the same thing "there's no need for an ultrasound and if she did it the manager would have to charge me." The manager didn't even try to help or show any concern. Once again I was blown off and had taken time off work just to go in and get this treatment? She rushed me out of the room when I was trying to make a decision with my husband about this mess, that they created. We immediately left without wanting any further services. This place lacks communication, and proper bedside manner. I would've appreciated had I just been told "your next ultrasound is not until 18-20 weeks." I spent a month waiting eagerly just to deal with the same rude ultrasound technician who doesn't seem happy to even be there. Ten minutes later, corporate office called me apologizing in hopes of keeping me and then I come to find out I was supposed to have an ultrasound at 11-12 weeks. She was shocked. What am I missing here? For these reasons I sadly will say that this place isn't organized and communication is poor, I especially didn't care for the ultrasound technician who made my experiences poor to say the best. My provider at the time, Jessica was pleasant, kind and took her time...so I won't discredit her. I already have an ultrasound setup elsewhere. They already have consideration to let me know that they'll call me if anything changes that way my husband and I don't have to leave work again like our previous experiences. Once again, I'm new to this perhaps communication upfront informing me of when ultrasounds generally happen would be nice. It would also be nice to have an ultrasound IF THEY TELL YOU, YOU'RE SCHEDULED for one. I shouldn't have to rely on "Google" to know when I am to receive ultrasounds, that is their job. My time is valuable too and I can gladly take my insurance to pay the thousands of dollars this process costs to another practice. I would've loved to stay to deliver my baby at the hospital I planned on, but I'm not going to deal with a negative attitude at each ultrasound and not even enjoy my experience. Update: A manager tells me over the phone that my account has a $0 balance and encourages me to become a patient at her location (never will I ever set foot in any of their locations again). Then I get bills for two exams, one of which should be covered at 100% as a well woman's but they refuse to use the correct billing code. So I've been making 1-3 payments a month and today get hit with a bill including a late fee?! Are you kidding me? Please don't let the idea of them having multiple and convenient locations convince you to become a patient here!! My initial appointment with MomDocs was at this location. It was easy to schedule and appointment (I did so one month in advance so I could get the date and time I needed) but I never received any type of confirmation. I ended up calling the office myself, the day of to confirm. I had initially requested a 4pm appointment but was told that there was only a 5pm appointment available (this is important as they later tried to charge me an "after hours fee" even though their business hours are listed til 8pm and I in no way requested an "after hours" appointment). The two girls were sitting in the front watching a Disney movie when I arrived. I did my paperwork and they promptly brought me back. The office is decorated in a beach theme but not professional in any sense and dusty/dirty floors. My provider was good, she made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. It was not explained to me, however, that instead of billing out my well woman exam that is covered 100% they were billing out a different type of exam. So I received surprise bills in the mail. I was given the run around when calling the office to find out why they had contacted me. I assumed it was regarding results but every single person I spoke with said there was no record of me being called or contacted for any reason. I really don't feel like this company has their stuff together and don't recommend them at all at this point read more

I had a bad experience with my last OBGYN earlier today and wanted to call a more well known location than I went to. Unfortunately no one at the location cared enough to answer my call or at least tell me I would be on hold for an hour and forty minutes. I need to get help for extracting my IUD and I have surprisingly struck out all day today.... Sadly, I don't know what other care I can go for help other than a urgent care at this rate. read more

I decided to try out Momdoc in the middle of my pregnancy because I was not very confident or satisfied with my previous OB and friends and previous colleagues of mine recommended Momdoc. Well from the first day I walked in for my first appointment at Momdoc I was impressed I love how the assistants meet you in the lobby and I didn't have to wait longer than 3 mins before being called in the back. From the very first appointment my midwife Cassandra asked questions to get to know me and was very bubbly and personable. She examined my belly and we listened to the baby's heart then my ultrasound for the gender reveal was scheduled for the very next day. The next day they were unable to find the gender since my baby's legs were crossed so we scheduled another appointment a week later. Not only did we find out the gender but there were concerns with the placenta. Cassandra went over this in detail and she wanted to have a extensive ultrasound done so she scheduled a 3rd appointment for the following week. Now before I was able to get to that appointment I had experienced a lot of bleeding that was of great concern to me. I immediately went to the ER and was told by the nurse after an extensive ultrasound was done that Dr. Shaw informed them to keep me for 24 hrs. The same day Dr. Shaw came in to explain to me the ultrasound findings and that I had what was called Placenta Previa. She educated me and my mother on everything we needed to know about the condition the good, the bad and the ugly which was very much appreciated, she answered all of our questions without rushing and continued to ask if we had any further questions. She said she wanted me and the baby monitored over night to make sure no other concerns came up. I was told to take it easy with light bed rest. My mother gave me her approval that shes gaining confidence in Momdoc so far and that usually never happens with her. I would just like to say thank u to Dr. Shaw, Dr. Weber and Cassandra for all of your care and concern and making me and my mother feel confident, more educated and at ease with this whole process. When I became pregnant I visited MomDoc and signed up for their prenatal care package (something to the tune of everything is included for ~$3,000 or so). My first visit was only a pregnancy test but it left a bad taste in my mouth. They asked me questions that were already answered in the iPad in front of them. I waited 20 minutes PAST my appointment time before being taken back (early AM too), just to wait even longer. I worked full time and was almost two hours later than planned because of the delays in care. It was very impersonal. When I cancelled my subsequent appointments a few days later, I received an invoice for $305 AFTER insurance. I called MomDoc and asked (anonymously) how much would it be for a first visit/pregnancy test first visit. Answer: "$200". I couldn't believe it. For a minute it almost felt like I was revisiting.........OH....... Goodman & Partridge. MomDoc is operated under the same individuals who ran Goodman & Partridge. I found this out after scheduling an appointment with MomDoc, thinking they were a different practice altogether. Nope. They just changed names and not even locations. Not only that, but the erroneous bill from this MomDoc visit in 2016 had all my billing items from G&P 2012 on the same invoice. What! Fool me twice, shame on me. -- Pay no attention to the timelines and my procrastination. :) -- I immediately called to get the bill zeroed out. I'm sure they have notes on my 2012 experience because this time they didn't challenge me like they did then. They just zeroed it out and sent me a zero balance invoice as I requested. I have the original and zeroed out bills from BOTH visits still in my file box where they'll stay forever... just in case... I do numbers and audits for a living so I catch bad billing. I'm not sure how many people openly pay whatever invoice they receive but that isn't me. I was billed erroneously by both providers so I'm including my original G&P review to show consistency (or is it INconsistency?). Ha. -- Original G&P review -- I came here in October 2012 as a new patient (moved out here) for a basic checkup. I had insurance, so I paid my co pay like usual and all was well. At the end of the appointment I asked the doctor what vitamins were good to take as prenatal supplements. She made some suggestions and then I was on my way. Everything seemed to go okay. Some weeks later I received a bill in the mail from GP for a balance due of $305, AFTER insurance. I felt this was a mistake and so I called my insurance company first before calling GP. My insurance company told me the code GP gave them was for "prenatal counseling" and was incorrect and therefore not covered, but the agent gave me the CORRECT code and said all GP had to do was give them that code and they would cover it for me. Thank you insurance! So I call GP. They refused to change the code even when I told them I had the correct one from the insurance and that they would pay if they just resubmit the claim. Then they said I had to pay it all. I became frustrated and asked them to please look into it. I was put on hold. When she came back she said that they would "as a one time courtesy reduce the bill to half of what it was and call it good." At this point I was more than a little irritated. I said "Ok, I'll pay the half but I won't ever come back again." This prompted another wait on hold, when she came back she said they waived the "prenatal counseling" fee in full as a one time courtesy, and acted rather smug about her "awesome" gesture. All they had to do was change a code. Who knows, I could have paid and then they could have billed insurance anyway! The fact that I paid it would allude to me not communicating with insurance so they could have gotten away with it. Of course I've never been back. And I won't ever go there again. Just a warning, if you do decide to jump in with them, make sure you ask about your vitamins BEFORE the doctor feels you up, or they'll charge you separately from your appointment. read more

This office has been a nightmare from the start of my pregnancy. I have yet to see the same provider more than once. I went in for my appointment yesterday and left in tears. She did my exam with so much force I was left feeling violated. They knew I had called their higher up to complain once and had the balls to come in the room before the provider to ask why I called the higher up to begin with. So unprofessional. When I found out I was pregnant I was not in the happiest mood knowing the circumstance I was in and they dismissed that feeling saying it doesn't matter how I feel I'm gonna be a mom now. They don't know how to read the room and sense we're uncomfortable. I was left sitting in a room half naked for 10 mins then had an exam and was told the hospital over exaggerated and I'm fine. I've now gone even higher and made more calls about their unprofessional behavior. A bunch a caddy women who don't want to be called out. read more

As a plus size mom momdoc midwives is an absolute game changer! My pervious ob(dont want to mention the name) made me feel ashamed and unworthy of being pregnant. She even went as far to make me believe that my baby was going to die at any point in time becuase I was plus size. I was labeled as high risk and treated as a ticking time bomb. I found it hard to be happy in my pregnancy. I was only filled with fear. Then I found momdoc. THEY SAVED ME! They treated me with compassion, they made me feel worthy to be the mom I could be. I was not high risk either! I had a PERFECT pregnancy and delivery! I pushed for over 4 and a half hours but my midwives encouragement never ceased! She let me body push at it's own pace. I gave birth to a very healthy little boy and I didnt tear at all! My recover was also a breeze! Every midwife I saw while in there care was attentive, compassionate and very professional. Dr. Weber is also very nice as well he is probably the most calming doctor I've ever been seen by lol. I'm on baby number 2 and obviously using them once again! Thank you momdoc! read more
