She wasn't taking new patients at the time, and her 'personal best, most favorite' recommendation was Janine Hammond (CNM) with MyObGyne. I took her recommendation and let me say, Janine has been awesome. She is super chill, personal and professional. A truly wonderful balance and right up my ally. Bonus: 1) She is great with my three year old daughter, and shows nothing but love to her. 2) She is also super stellar at responding to the messaging available on their portal; which has been really helpful in between appointments. Overall, the front office staff is cool. I've always gotten along with them, and have found (with almost any personal interaction in life), that you get what you give. The MAs are typically nice, some friendlier than others, and that works for me. The US Techs are also personable, which is a definite plus. I have my next appointment with the practice owner, Dr Poku, and am excited to officially meet her. She's always been friendly if I see her in the office, and always says hello. We moved from San Tan Valley to Chandler early in my second trimester, and decided it was well worth it to make the drive to continue care with Janine (and to deliver at a hospital that is now 35 minutes away). I am now in my third trimester. Thus far, things have been a breeze with MyObgyne. I am grateful they were recommended.

Absolute worst place I've ever been in my whole 45 years of living. The only thing good about this…read moreplace is they get you in the same day through a text message but don't forget you will be waiting for an hour in the back. The providers suck and you will see a different one everytime you go and they do not diagnose right after giving you medication call and tell you 3 days later that was the wrong medication take this one instead and throw the other away. Dirty office, crazy looks from staff and then when I told them about my experience I could hear them laughing in the hallway together as I turned the corner. I have had a total of 5 kids and this place by far has been the absolute worst!!!! This will be my last time coming here and whatever you do don't make it your first time. Avoid this place at all cost! Especially the Queen creek location

I wish 2 things with this review. I wish I could give negative stars and I wish I could rate Dr…read more Shaw differently than the clinic, because Dr. Shaw was an absolute 10/10. Unfortunately, this is not a review on Dr. Shaw, this is a review of the pathetic excuse of a clinic that she works at. Every single aspect of this office is an absolute struggle. Scheduling appointments is a roller coaster every single time. Getting ahold of anyone is nearly impossible. The office staff is rude, unwelcoming, and you feel like a number every time you are there. The worst part of this practice, though, is their billing department. If I could give negative stars I would. Every time you call with billing concerns, they will tell you they "have a new system and had been some errors with it". Well, I have heard that excuse for about 4years now. I swear it is what their management tells them to say if you have any billing issues. MAKE SURE YOU READ, TRACK AND UNDERSTAND YOUR BILLS!!! They have no clue what they are doing and you will randomly get statements in the mail from months or years ago that they never processed so they never showed before. They will bill your insurance improperly. They will bill you the wrong amount, they will lose payments and apply them improperly. They will forget to send you statement from months and months ago and when you receive it for the first time there will be late fees on it. Trust me, just f'ing avoid this place. Doing a home birth by yourself will be less of a struggle and source of stress than dealing with this clinic. I cannot stress enough how amazing Dr. Shaw is, though.

WARNING TO WOMEN Beware of Dr. Boag and Associates…read moreIn Oct. 2025, I was seen at New Horizons Healthcare specifically by Janine Hammond and Dr. Boag for breakthrough bleeding. I was evaluated by Janine who ordered a transvaginal ultrasound, where a 3cm polyp was identified, and was likely causing the bleeding. My endometrial lining was also measuring at 25mm which I was told is very concerning. Janine then brought in Dr. Boag to discuss removing the polyp. He advised me that removing the entire polyp would stop the bleeding. I scheduled an in-office polyp removal under twilight anesthsia on 11/21/25, as recommended by both providers. Before the procedure, I asked Dr. Boag whether my tipped uterus would make the procedure more difficult, and if he planned on removing the entire polyp. He answered "Yes, Ill find it and get it all." After the procedure I woke up vomiting and cramping. Dr. Boag briefly stuck his head into the other room and asked if the cramping was better. That was the only postoperative interaction I had with him. As I was being discharged the nurse told my husband "everything went great!" Four days later, I developed severe cramping, dizziness and heavy bleeding. When I messaged the office, I was simply told to go to the ER and was not connected to any provider. At the ER after additional testing, and another ultrasound, the attending physician Dr Figeroa, informed me that there was still a polyp in my uterus. Immediately after leaving I contacted New Horizons, and was told that Janine and Dr Boag were on vacation for the rest of the week, but I could see another provider N.P Holly Korica. That afternoon when I arrived, I explained to the front desk that they could request my ultrasound and labs STAT from the hospital. The girls declined and instead had me sign a records release form. While waiting for Holly, I explained everything to the P.A. who was assisting her and mentioned the hospitals STAT request option. I overheard the PA tell Holly this, and Holly responded that they couldn't do anything without medical records. When Holly entered, I again explained the entire situation. She told me that according to Dr. Boags notes, my uterus was "clean", and she claimed the ER likely saw a blood clot, not a polyp. I strongly disagreed, telling her the ER physician explicitly identified a polyp. Without examining me she prescribed provera to control the bleeding, and dismissed me and any concerns. For the next 3 days no one from the office contacted me, including Dr. Boag. On 11/24/25 I sent a message thru the pt portal asking why the entire polyp had not been removed given the plan discussed with Janine and Dr. Boag beforehand. Two days later, Dr. Boag replied: " We did excise the polyp as much as can be done in office, We'll discuss further at follow up" By that point, I no longer trusted the office and canceled the follow-up. Instead, I saw a new OB-GYN. She explained that given my tipped uterus, polyp size, and polyp location, the procedure should've been performed in a surgical operating room under general anesthesia, not in an office setting. When I reviewed my medical records, several things concerned me: My chart stated that a complete polypectomy was planned and performed. The pathology report stated that they submitted the entire 3cm polyp, yet the lab showed that only fragments had been recieved. The surgical note claimed the entire polyp was completely removed. The night of the procedure, I passed a large piece of tissue at home, which I now believe was part of the polyp that should've been sent to the lab. Had I not gone to the ER, I wouldn't have known that the polyp was still present or that there might have been complications. Since then, I have been bleeding and cramping for 2.5 weeks, followed by ongoing discharge. The physical pain and emotional stress have been overwhelming. Dr. Boag created a financial, emotional, physical mess for me and my family. Still 3 weeks later no one has contacted me from New Horizons. $3,700 later with more bills to come. Please look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the doctor's behavior overshadowed everything else. Because of that, I would not recommend this office.
